Help me out here. Isn't wine, by definition, fermented?
Isn't it just grape juice until it ferments.

You oenophiles out there, is that right?

Isaiah 65:8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

I Timothy 5:23 -- No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.

Who is the liar here? Paul or Slick?

Genesis 40:11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.
Where does that passage claim that the grape juice was wine?

The Word of God is against drinking, the Word of God is against drinking. It matters not what I am against.

The Word of God is not against drinking, the Word of God is not against drinking. The Word of God is against drunkeness, the Word of God is against drunkeness. You, STIC, not the Word of God, are against drinking, and you cannot bind your beliefs on another Christian.

Matthew 11:19 (ESV)
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds."

Jesus clearly drank an alcoholic beverage. Otherwise, Jesus could have told them that He was not a drunkard because He didn't drink an alcoholic beverage, but that is not what said. He drank an alcoholic beverage(obviously not to the point of drunkeness) and He was indeed a friend of tax collectors and sinners(thank God for that).

Jesus, as King of kings would not have drank alcoholic wine, nor created it to cause others to be tiempted to sin under its influence. If your Jesus drank alcohol, you need to switch Jesus's. The Son of God did not admit to drinking fermented beverage.

Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Glut"ton (?), n.
1. One who eats voraciously, or to excess; a gormandizer.

Wine"bib`ber (?), n. One who drinks much wine.

Note that the term is "new wine" here - not wine. It is the word "tiyrowsh" meaning "wine, fresh or new wine, must, freshly pressed wine" and is different than the word "yayin" which means "wine". They are 2 different substances and cannot be used interchangably.

At least thats what the guy at the liquor store said.

Are you addressing MY post about the fact that 'new wine' and 'wine' are two different words in the original Hebrew?? I don't think the guy at the liquor store knows Hebrew - he's German.

I'm am reading this same old stuff from SFIC and enjoying a good Guiness Extra Stout at the same time.

A quote from a man who didn't have sense enough to get out of the rain and flew a kite in a storm?

Well, granted he did discover electricity, but apparently he did not study his Bible enough or he would have known God did not give us beer.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Jesus the Son of God did indeed drink alcoholic wine. It is a fact. It is rally silly of you to refuse to accept the truth of the situation just because you don't like it.

On the contrary, I have accepted the truth, and have been sharing it. Continue to blaspheme the Lord and His Holy character by saying He drank alcohol. It is you who will answer for not believing who He is, not me.

Continue to blaspheme the Lord

You might want to be careful there, bucko, about accusing me of blaspheming. Remember, when you are pointing your finger at me you have more fingers pointing back at yourself.

By the way, I see nothing in the Bible that teaches that one's salvation is dependent upon whether he/she believes that Jesus drank alcoholic wine or not.

You also might to turn your attention to your own uncharitable attitude of viewing those who disagree with you as being blasphemers. I am afraid that you think way more highly of yourself than you have any reason to.
