A Mexican to Build the Wall

Hopefully, we can recover some of his illegally obtained money. But let's use it on something better to protect the security of the the U.S. like cyber-security research and protection.What say you?

He used tunnels, planes, submarines, drones, catapults, drugs stuffed into produce/donuts/frozen sharks carried across at ports of entry by cars and trucks which also concealed drugs in various places. A very small amount of high-end drugs like heroin and cocaine come through isolated areas where Trump's extension of the already 700 mile wall/fence would be built.

,The wall is not only a necessary step in securing our border but by any reasonable thinking should be the first step. Keeping drugs out is just one of the game changing benefits. That methods exist to defeat the weak wall we currently have does not negate the need for a secure wall.

Being anti-wall is being anti-science. There is far more real scientific evidence supporting the need for a southern wall than supporting significant human impact harming the earth's climate pattern.
Yup, any informed person that possesses even minimal basic critical thinking skills would come to the conclusion and acknowledge that the necessity of a wall to keep these invaders out of our country is based on truth.
I think seizing and using the assets of the drug cartels to build our wall is a great idea! We should make a business out of it and do so in conjunction, a joint venture with Mexico. The potentially 100s of billions of proceeds would not only build us a top notch wall and security system but could also allow for some creative infrastructure along the border between our countries.

Tell that to the people who police the border and you will find them laughing in your face. I'll just tell you how wrong you are.
There are reasons not to build a wall to help secure the border, but they all involve benefitting from illegal activity, something Democrats are into big league. Those who suffer from illegal activity want a secure wall. Those arguing that walls alone won’t work are correct, but that is a strawman, as no one is arguing for walls alone.

Are you saying the article proves this is untrue? If so, you’re wrong. Are you saying this is the sole reason for the wall? If so, you’re wrong. Are you saying this should be the main reason for the wall? If so, you’re wrong.
The logic behind this statement is equivalent to the story of the guy who, when walking along the sidewalk bordering a river, would take his walking stick and every 10 steps would whistle and take his cane and strike the sidewalk 3 times with the top of the stick.
A fellow walker, observing this odd behavior, asked the reason for such actions.
The reply: "It's a surefire method of making sure no sharks try to get you when walking near the edge of the river!"
The questioner then stated, "There are no sharks in this river, we're too far inland for one thing, AND this is fresh water!"
Replied the walker, "Pretty darned effective ain't it?"
Just in case the comparison is lost, just how sure are you that only a "small amount" of drugs cross across the "isolated" areas; and how is this determined?
Reminds me of the idiotic comment I read many years back when the "environmentalists" made a claim about humans destroying complete species of animals. "We have to do something soon, cause already hundreds of species have been eliminated that we haven't even discovered yet!"
Amazing how these bozos can make such stupid statements - probably because they have long abandoned common sense as a judging criteria!?
So true! It is pretty clear that even minimal understanding of the knowledge of Basic Logic and Critical Thinking Skills would defeat 90%+ of liberal arguments as per your example:
IMO they seriously need to make this a mandatory high school course while stressing the value of the science of drawing out the truth (logic) in an argument.
Besides the commonly neglected obvious strawman (more than the wall is needed) you pointed out a simple understanding of the foolishness of "throwing out the baby with the bathwater" concerning the value of the wall (as a necessary component and a first step) logically puts an end to the arguments of those who try to put up that it is useless.
This neglect of simplistic common sense calls into question whether or not they value truth at all, and that is sad.

In the postmodern era, truth no longer means what it means, so all manner of substitutes suffice, and feelings are the gauge.
Seems Israel was able to deal with such methods after starting with a wall - to which they give the credit. Hmm?

In theory, this is a good idea, but you would need not just a mandate, but teachers for the purpose. This would likely require professionals busy elsewhere to donate their time for the sake of saving the country. Maybe a local school club would be the way to start, as in a grassroots movement.
Are you saying you know more about drug smuggling than the Drug Enforcement Agency? That's what Trump is saying but then he says that about everything but knows nothing.

No, I’m plainly saying that all too often you have a seriously hard time understanding what is written, especially when some reason and logic need to be applied, and that such is the case here.
I understand truthful statements and rational arguments not the lies and misleading statements made by Trump and his supporters.

Open borders are notoriously difficult to patrol, but walls seriously limit illegal crossings and make patrolling much easier, more effective. The combination is simply a must. This is why the US Border Patrol wants a wall.
The only ones who do not want a wall are those who do not really care about all illegal entry of drugs, of gangs, of thieves, of rapists, of murderers, of sex trafficking, of child prostitution, of criminal aliens who bilk the system by the billions--this especially includes Democrats, who know they will benefit politically from the displacement of current citizens.
