Abortion

You are in denial. Your lectures are inane. Obviously not all Repubs are Christians, but how many of those vote for the progressive agenda? If they do, like a couple in my home state did, they will be voted out (if we can stop the steal of course). Only red states are actively working to address the abortion issue, as well as working to defend our constitutional rights.
You are equating a non-progressive agenda as being God-pleasing and a progressive agenda as God-damned. I counter by saying both Party agendas displease our King. Our King tolerates them both, for a season, but He will return and damn them both with judgment and fire.

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

There are many godless people in the Republican Party, just like the Democratic Party. Both are self seeking and do not follow the King. To claim one is more evil than the other is like claiming which bullet will kill you faster.
Spoken like a military sniper! :Thumbsup
In fact, a man who became a mentor of mine, spent most of his time during WW2, as a sniper for the 101army airborne division and he hated it. He was finally able to transfer to a special anti tank group... this guy was one of my hero’s, took me to Mets ballgames, taught me how to pitch a fastball, slider and curve. He was wounded, spent the rest of his life without his left leg. You know what, he told me that it wasn’t worth it! All the killing, all the PTSD, being assigned to a VA psych ward. Having to watch Bills pain made me realize that all politicians are filth... they pray on your emotions, your status as a patriot blah blah blah. Screw politicians...stay in your lane, don’t cross mine... then I will die to protect my own. Otherwise leave me the Frig alone.

How do I deny a negative
When you show me a link stating that Most republicans think "A Democrat can't be a Christian."
All you need to do is go back into your archives , and and look up certain posters who are very likely to make derogatory statements of political adversaries. I can provide for you a few culprits (you know as well as I do who they are). So let’s not play this “see no evil, speak no evil” drama.

back a ways you said "The difference is that the Republican Party has maintained for over 30 years that "A Democrat can't be a Christian." I

Do you have a link which tells us that was the platform of the Republican party.
and 2 or 3 posters saying that means nothing
Now if you can show us something that hundreds of people said that -
well, that might be a differenet story.

Who is WA Criswell? Any relation to Christ?

I think so.
He's the guy who went to a concert by Paderewski, sitting next to pretty young woman he had never met. A young man seeking to break the ice, he finally said, "Isn't this the biggest congregation you've ever seen?" She smiled and said, "Oh yes." Then she changed her expression and said, "Congregation!? You must be a preacher or something!" and she turned away.

I am 100 percent against abortion. Murder of the innocent unborn human is the most evil thing one could do. Was having a discussion with one of my friends the other day. He is changing his position. He said he is tired of trying to stop Democrats from killing future Democrats. Most abortions are Democrats. He theorized we are in fact ruining our nation by fighting to save the lives of future workers of iniquity. I disagree on moral grounds, but dang he has a point.
Does God approve of babies being aborted?

You are mistaken... I didn’t say that. For the record, I’m a Christian first, then an Independent so I do not support either of these scummy parties. I’m also a capitalist so don’t like anyone interfering with my efforts to make an honest (sometimes not so honest) buck. That way I’m my own man and I pay my own way, and I don’t listen to the dirt merchants trying to sell me on something. That’s the American way...or at least was until the politicians and lobbyists got ahold of it. May they rot in hell!

Oh you have to know... saying I think so doesn’t get it done. For example, you and your buddy are pinned down by a shooter so you both desire to stay behind cover and weight him out. In the morning, you wake up, a little cramps and groggy and ask your buddy, “is the shooter gone?” “I think so,” is his answer. So you peak out of the cover and BANG!

BTW, both my wife and my late mother are and were Democrats... only neither are proponents of abortion and if you asked either, you would have a clear the air confrontation on your hands. Mom was Catholic so her morality and church came before any damn political party. Come to think of it she didn’t see Joe Biden as a serious Catholic and more of a blankety blank Irish political hack who would say and do anything to be elected. As a side note, moms from Scranton and would bristle at any mention of Joe Biden’s being from there. She was happiest when the Scranton Bishop denied Biden the sacraments for his stance on abortion.

My wife now is the real hot potato of the two. People to her make their own decisions and have to make their beds and lie in it. Political decisions are done on a case by case basis and not lumped together. To her, it is the Republicans who can be cruel and self serving... but she don’t like Biden. She feels his gratuitous actions and policies are a big act. Of course, she can’t stand Trump... but that’s another story.

Would you mind telling me what this ^#/>*÷! is about?

Let me know whether you mind or not.

God is the author of all life, and all humans are made in Hos own Image, why would he desire to have them killed off then?
All life dies. Does he ignore this?

Ask your son if he is trained to kill. Does God allow for man to kill? Is there something called war? Why was my mentor ordered to shoot his German prisoners during WW2. It haunted him his whole life. Why then was he ordered to kill them? Do you think God was aware of this?

God has ordained the abortion of many children in the womb. What God has chosen to create, God can also end at anytime he wills.

This, however, does not give humans license to play God.

To any knowledge of mine it was your statement. You stated it.
And if you were quoting without credit, it should still be yours, just not original.
Yes, I guess you have a point. I repeated Scripture. As a Christian my proof is in the original Arthur. Based on God's character I trust His Word.

That is all the proof I have.

But you are correct in pointing out not all share my presupposition about God's Word.

OK then amend the statement... nobody who supports abortion can be a Christian.
So you would also say that anyone who has murdered someone cannot become a Christian? Why focus only on abortion? The real topic is sanctity of human life. Do do support the murder of hundreds of thousands of people by US troops fighting needless wars of aggression? Do you support an economic system in which a black child born in Washington DC has a lower life expectancy than a poor child born in India? What about pushing poor people out on the street by not providing affordable housing? Killing them by arguing against affordable health insurance? Capital punishment? The list goes on and on.
