In Genesis 3 we read about Eve eating of the fruit --- and then giving it to her husband.
Suppose, Adam refuse to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil?

What would have happened?
Would Eve have been kicked out the Garden?
Would Adam have been allowed to stay?

Presumably yes

then either God would have had to make another woman or there would have been no sons and daughters to Adam

Adam this would have lived eternally alone

Since everything is ordained by God, including the fall of man, the idea that Adam would have not eaten of the forbidden fruit was not a possibility.

Adam's volitional sin resulted in both Adam and Eve being condemned spiritually. Might Adam have not eaten when he was tempted? Yes, because he chose to sin, and was not compelled to sin, as some might claim. What would have happened. I think Adam would have been tempted until he did volitionally sin. But that is a pure guess, as scripture does not tell us.
If Adam had not chosen to sin when Eve first offered, they would both have remained in the garden where he would be tempted again, is my guess.

Part of the failure that occurred in Eden was not only Eve's disobedience to Adam and God, but also Adam's failure to protect and lead his wife. That whole encounter turned God's order upside down.

The order is supposed to be: God > Man > Woman > Animal
Instead, with the snake, the snake tempted in the opposite order to try to make a mockery of God: Animal > Woman > Man > God

Adam chose to blame his wife when God confronted them. Had Adam done what was correct, which likely would've been to immediately refuse to eat, then to bring both him and his wife before God with repentance for both of them, Eve repenting for disobeying her husband and God, Adam repenting for failing to protect his wife from the serpent and taking responsibility for his family, then who knows what would've happened?

I expect the curse would be different or lesser in a way, but we'll never know, unless Jesus entertains this notion when we all meet Him and tells us what would've happened.

Adam failed in his role as keeper of the garden. Adam failed in following the Covenant, therefore the same outcome would have resulted.
Adam was fully aware and compliant. Adam knew that he was supposed to crush the serpent's head, right there, and Adam failed. This is why the curse is solely on Adam as the 1st Adam and why the curse is broken by the 2nd Adam.

You are correct - BUT that does not answer the OP!!!

Let me remind you:

Suppose, Adam refuse to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil?

What would have happened?
Would Eve have been kicked out the Garden?
Would Adam have been allowed to stay?

(and this is NOT a C-vs A!

The answer is still the same as what I answered. Adam allowed Eve to eat. He was supposed to be the warrior who protected and cultivated the garden. He was supposed to crush the serpent's head. When Eve ate (even if Adam didn't eat), Adam failed. Adam failed to uphold the Covenant God made with him. Our corruption became imprinted upon us.
Salty, I think you are focusing on the wrong thing. You are focusing on the fruit. Focus on Adam's failure in the Covenant to care for the garden, of which Eve was one of the created things Adam was to cultivate and help. Adam failed to protect. Adam broke the Covenant. God is a covenant making God.

I think both would have been removed from the Garden.

I think this because Adam was responsible for Eve. Also, they were created to be together.

So either way (one or both eating of the fruit) I think they would have remained in Eden, but outside of the Garden planted there.

I also think this shows a progression (or digression) due to sin. Man (Adam, Eve, or both) transgressed God's command.

Later we see man(Cain) being removed from dwling in God's presence and being driven east of Eden.

To play along with your fantasy question, since Adam would have been still innocent in this fantasy scenario, he could have interceded for her. As Adam would have been merely innocent and not clothed with the righteousness of God, I don't know if any such intercession would have been accepted, in this fantasy scenario.

Ideally Adam simply should have stopped Eve. Remember what Eve reported God had told both of them. ". . . neither shall ye touch it, for fear ye die. . . ."

Eve sinned by eating the fruit. Since
  • “It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins (Hebrews 10:4)”
  • “…and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22b)”
there was nothing Eve could have done to save herself.

Perhaps Adam could have offered his own innocent blood to save her.

Hmm. Adam would have been disobedient in not keeping the garden by not preventing Eve from eating from that tree. Eve would have still realized her nakedness. Adam wouldn't have unless from Eve in some way. The big question what would have been the mixed actions, Eve hiding and Adam maybe left standing alone, and God asking Adam where she was . . . . And more issues. God questions for Adam.

Only Adam would not have the sinful nature. Because of Eve, Adam would have been put out of the garden with Eve. All the decendants by reason of Eve and Adam's error of not keeping Eve from her deception, the decendants would have the same sinful nature.
Genesis 3:15 and the future virgin birth would not have been changed.

Had Adam not sinned would there have been the need of Redemption, to be redeemed out of the sin and the death?

And if there were not the need for redemption out of death how would the following have taken place?

From Hebrews 2:14 YLT corrected ::: that through (the, in the Greek) death he might destroy him having the power of (the, in the Greek) death -- that is, the devil --

What death? Was Abel the first thing that suffered the death?

Just thinking out loud.

Was the woman taken out of the man made in the image of God necessary for the Word made flesh? Was the woman necessary to Gal 4:4?
