I apologize if I see them all as being related.Anyway, Rob. Let's argue this in the Heliocentricity: Behind the Times thread. This thread is about Adam's vantage point of the heavens, and its meaning.
Einstein made fun of it and called it "Mach's conjecture" because it was so vague and imprecise as to be meaningless.Einstein called it Mach's Principle.
Back on track . . .On that note, if the heavens were designed with the earth as their focus, would it be surprising if that purpose were seen in the structure of the universe?
The question in another form is: Did the skies hold any meaning for Adam?
If so, why wasn't he given a telescope?
Why wasn't he given a spaceship? Or the ability to fly like Superman? The question in another form is: Did the skies hold any meaning for Adam?

That's a huge assumption that the Planet Earth is the focus of the heavens. On that note, if the heavens were designed with the earth as their focus, would it be surprising if that purpose were seen in the structure of the universe?
Why didn't he have one?
It's not an assumption if one believes the stars were created to give light upon the earth as it is written. That's a huge assumption that the Planet Earth is the focus of the heavens.
We don't know enough about the plans that God has for eternity to know if the Planet Earth is the focus of the eternal created order.
Obviously because he wasn't originally intended to visit the stars. Do you have a response to the first question? Why wasn't he given a spaceship? Or the ability to fly like Superman?

Originally, yes. Now, care to respond to the first question?Using that logic, apparently he wasn't originally intended to wear clothes either. Or live indoors. Or read a book. Cook food. Etc. Etc.

Nope.Originally, yes. Now, care to respond to the first question?
I'm not surprised, because it's a question of faith.Nope.

What is the source for this assertion?Hubble discovered that the distant galaxies all appear to be accelerating away from the earth and each other at the same rate.
Actually, a lot of this is about presuppositions and biblical interpretation.I'm not surprised, because it's a question of faith.
