trump Ram on the GOP ticket but he is not a republican. He is more libertarian then anyone I've seen run.
Trump is a democrat (a democrat about two decades ago).

I do not see him as a libertarian. He has not advocates to make all drugs legal, to leave abortion up to the individual, to withdraw from the world economy, etc.

But he looks exactly like democrats when today's moderate democrats would have been viewed as liberal and progressive.

I ahree there is little about Trump that would be Republican, but there is little about the GOP that would be republican a few decades ago.

With few exceptions the GOP today is the DNC of the past.

That's funny because I wouldn't call him a Libertarian at all. He used to identify as a Democrat. To be honest with you, I don't think he really identifies with any political party because Trump is all about Trump. Don't believe me? Trump loves going to campaign rallies of the candidates he endorses. When he's behind that podium, he spends the vast majority of the time talking about himself and little about the candidate he supports. He suffers from malignant narcissism. Psychologist say this is the most severe, destructive, and dangerous form of narcissism. Malignant narcissism crosses a line into malicious behavior. It bridges the gap between narcissism and psychopathy.

He's a man filled with hate. That's evident by the way he reacts about people who disagree with him. He fired people in his first administration who disagreed with him. He had the highest turnover rate of any previous president. When he appointed Jeffery Sessions to be his first US Attorney General, he called him a great man and the best Attorney General the country ever had. Then when Sessions recused himself from participating in the Russia investigation because he was a witness to it, Trump fired him. Afterward, Trump called him the worst Attorney General the country ever had.

This administration, he made sure to appoint people would be nothing more than yes-men.

Trump insist on having his name on everything. He wants the Kennedy Center to be called the Donald Trump and John F. Kennedy Center. Notice he wants his name first. He's calling the new ballroom being built (which he began illegally) The Trump Ballroom. He claims our allies want him to name the triumphal arch he's having built in DC after himself. BTW, he's also calling that arch a military facility that will be filled with ammunition and bombs. That should tell you that the money to construct it is coming from the Department of War.

That brings me to another point. Our armed forces are to serve as a national defense. I find it hypocritical for a man who calls himself the "president of peace" to rename the Department of Defense to the Department of War.

Trump calls himself the greatest president the country has ever had. Not hardly. He increased our national debt by $7.8 trillion in his first term and half of that was in the first two years. So far this term, he's increased the national debt by $3.8 trillion and it hasn't been two years. This is a man who said in during 2016 campaign that he would pay off the national debt.

Trump tells lie after lie. If you like I can list them for you. Here's a couple: he during his 2024 campaign he would bring an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia before taking office. His supporters believed him. Everyone else recognized the lie. He said by the end of his first year in office he would cut our total energy cost in half. His supporters believed him. Everyone else recognized it as a lie.

His war with Iran is costing us dearly. Look at how it's caused the price of fuel and everything associated with it to increase significantly. Let's not forget either his promise (bribe for votes) how every adult will receive a check of $5,000 only if the Republicans retain the majority in Congress.

Like I said, Trump is all about Trump because he wants to be powerful.

I agree...but I also know something had to be done about Iran.

I agree...but I also know something had to be done about Iran.
My big question about the decision to attack Iran again comes down to the following:

We bombed the three nuclear facilities where uranium was being enriched in June 2025. Following that mission, Trump stated those sites were obliterated and it would be "years and years before they will be able to enrich uranium again."

Eight months later in February 2025, Trump attacks Iran again claiming Iran was two weeks away from having a nuclear bomb and a month away of using it against Israel. He claimed the nuclear attack would wipe out Israel and most of the Middle East.

Which of those was the lie? They both can't be true. Perhaps neither was true.

Jumping from natural uranium to 20% takes massive effort; going from 20% to 60% takes less; and jumping from 60% to 90% requires the least amount of effort and time. Once they reached the 60%, they easily could have gone to 90% easily, but instead they kept enriching uranium at 60% for four years. Why?

They had no intention of making a nuclear weapon. I say that because they could have made one three years ago. They continued the enrichment at 60% and stockpile it to use as a massive bargaining chip. After the United States unilaterally withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2018, Iran incrementally violated the deal's limits to pressure Western nations into lifting economic sanctions.

For the sake of debate, let's say Iran did develop a nuclear missile and launched it at Tel Aviv. The impact on Tel Aviv would pretty much the same as it was for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, most winds in Israel blow to the east from the Mediterranean. The biggest threat to the West Bank would be radioactive fallout. Ramallah, and potentially Jerusalem and Hebron would be blanketed in radioactive material within hours, causing severe radiation sickness, long-term cancers, and rendering large swaths of agricultural land unusable. That radio fallout would also carry into Jordan.

A nuclear detonation generates a massive electromagnetic pulse. Depending on the altitude of the blast, an EMP could instantly fry the electrical grids, cellular networks, internet infrastructure, and medical equipment across the entire region, plunging Gaza and the rest of Israel into total electronic darkness.

What I have described is only part of the overall devastation.

Nuclear doctrine dictates that a strike on Tel Aviv would trigger Israel’s automatic, massive retaliation ("The Samson Option") before its systems could be fully destroyed. Because Lebanese groups like Hezbollah operate as Iranian proxies, Israel’s retaliatory doctrine would likely treat Lebanon as an active co-belligerent. Southern Lebanon and Beirut would likely face immediate, catastrophic conventional or nuclear counter-strikes by the Israeli military.

International defense trackers estimate Israel has up to 90 nuclear weapons. They would retaliate by launching what is available at Tehran (est. population 8.7 million), Mashhad (4.2 million), Isfahan (2.5 million), Karaj (2.1 million).

This is why Iran never intended to develop a nuclear weapon.

I disagree. There is every indication that Iran planed on developing a nuclear weapon. Their religious ideology makes developing nuclear weapons essential. Iran operates on the principle of regional dominance.

The Iranian regime is not controllable. External political and military pressure is meaningless. They do not care about retaliation. Why? Because it is a religious movement rejected by the majority of its citizens.

We saw this acted out in Gaza. The government did not care about its citizens. They were expendable. What mattered was its ideologies, and this exceeded Gaza (and exceeds Iran). The Iranian regime existed before it was placed in power over Iran.

Israel will not use a nuclear weapon against Iran because of the people. The Persians and Israelities are related with strong ties. Strikes against the Iranian regime would only fuel their power.

Nuclear weapons are much more developed. They can be used with devastating effects, but not the effects you describe. Modern thermonuclear weapons do have a contamination issue, but it is localized.

Same with the EMP. It would affect about a 3 sq mile area.

In fact, militarily, Trump should have destroyed Iran's infrastructure, destroyed all oil production, destroyed all power generation capabilities - simply removed them from the field.

That would have been bad for the Iranians, and I woyld by no means support that.

What does the Bible say about it? That there will be wars and rumors of wars, commanding is not to be anxious.

And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places;

Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Methinks the darkness of this age influences all of them.

We never want to understand but we love to hate. I have never kept a count but the times are many since 1995 that folks have insinuated and sometimes straight out called me a liar about the Ruach (Holy Spirit) indwelling my body. Yashua promised The Helper, Ruach, and scripture teaches He will lead us to live for YHWH.

America? Have we studied the Minor Prophets? I have and my current study is a journey through their writings and if you want to know why the World hates us, the answer and our future is found there.

Edom's symbol was an Eagle in a nest of stars. The book of Obadiah is one of the very shortest books in the Holy Scripture and the prophetic writings have been true twice and I see them being fulfilled today. Rome was the second Edom with it's symbol of the Eagle in the nest of stars.

And today America, with it's Eagle in the nest of stars is hated throughout the world because we, like Edom and Rome have become full of ourselves and believe that no matter our course, YHWH will bless us.

If you endeavor to study the Minor Prophets with our future in mind it should worry the living snot out of you the meaning of these Words from God.
The world hates us because we do evil to them. Our corporations take their resources for board rooms. We sanction by restricting access for Nations who do not do as we say. The cia causes chaos. If we quit stealing and hurting others they would love us. Let's quit acting evil foreign policy wise and be a Christian Nation instead.

You are so wrong. The exact opposite of what you have said is true. Their Ayatollah said a nuclear weapon was against Islam. It was an evil weapon. They would not pursue it. What did Trump and Israel do? They murdered him and his granddaughter. Now the great influence is deminished so they might get one now. Or they already probably have one.

I wasn't going to but now I ask are you less sinful then I or Mr Trump?
Your question here is basically comparing apples and oranges. Yes, I still sin. But I am also counted perfect because I am securely in Christ. The Father does not see my sins. He sees the perfection of His beloved Son.

My faith is in Christ. Let me share the following quotes from Trump and you tell me if these are the words of a Christian:

“But have you ever asked God for forgiveness?”
“I’m not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so. I think if I do something wrong, I think I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture… I don’t think in terms of that. I think in terms of let’s go on and let’s make it right.”
...
“If I make a mistake then yeah, then I think
[repentance is] great. But I try not to make mistakes. I mean, why do I have to, you know, repent? Why do I have to ask for forgiveness if you’re not making mistakes? I work hard. I’m an honorable person. I have thousands of people who work for me. I’ve employed tens of thousands of people over the years.”
...
“I want to be good because you want to prove to God that you’re good so you go to that next step, right?”
...
“I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven.”

These quotes are all here:

You are so wrong. Iran had already had 60% U-235. That is not weapons grade, but it is also far above enrichment levels for commercial use.

While their official policy was no nuclear weapons, the more vocal elements within the Iranian regime (and the IRGC) supported the development of nuclear weapons.

I doubt Iran itself would use a nuclear weapon. But that is not the issue.

Do I empathize with the Iranian regeme? No. They are terroristic government that has committed atrocities and funded terrorism throughout the world.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei supported Hezbollah, Hannah, and the Houthis (which Iran used as proxies). He funded and empowered Shia militia groups in Iraq to attack US citizens. He was guilty in the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina Jewish community center bombing.

He backed the Bashar al-Assad's regime, deploying IRGC forces and committed widespread war crimes and civilian displacement during the Syrian civil war.

He was responsible for murdering thousands in the name of his religion.

Your hero is a terrorist. Not only anti-Christian and anti-American but a war criminal and a terrorist.

Do I mourn his death? No. I do not celebrate his death, but I do not join you in morning his passing or celebrating his murderous regeme.
