If you cannot understand the following you should quit trying to debate.

Romans: 8
"1": There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

"2": For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

"3": For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

"4": That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Let me try it this way:

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

For me, these verses shed some light on the current subject.

I am not following you! Please explain what your thoughts are here.

Maybe if I was allowed to highlight certain parts?

First of all, I realize I have a lot to learn. So what I am about to say is as much a question as it is a statement.

We, as christians, are carnal.(Romans 7:14) However, reading all of Romans 7, we learn that our mind is not carnal.(Romans 7:25)

The verses below seem to be saying, you are either saved and have a mind that you serve the law of God with, or you are not saved, and you continue to have a carnal mind. Also, verse 9 seems to be saying, to those who are saved, you are not in the flesh.

Well, we will all always have our sin nature with us until in heaven we are glorified.
It is the law that shows it to us as we are unable to keep the law.
Though we have a sin nature(our carnal self) if we are christians, have been born again we now have access to His strength, His power to overcome temptation. We have nothing on our own. We are without value. Our whole value is in Him. Our resources to overcome are all in Him.
I think that is what you are asking. Is that it?
We have temptations that pull at us to follow them and we can do just that. But if we have been born again our greatest desire is to please God and do HIs will. Therefore we call on Him in our day of trouble and He will answer! There is no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man, but God is faithful and will with the temptation, provide a way of escape that you may be able to bear it.

How is the righteous of the Law fulfilled in us? If we are led by the Spirit of Christ, they why can't we keep the Law? Does the Spirit of Christ lead us into sin?

Yes!!! Exactly what I was saying/asking. 1Cor 10:13 is one of my favorite verses, BTW. It reminds me NOT to make excuses.

Great Blammo! It is so great to know that we have direct access to God when we become christians! We now have all resources in Him!

Bro Bob. Not but one man ever kept the law!
He alone never fell into sin. It is that law that shows our great need of a Savior! Otherwise we might think we were pretty fine folks! In truth we know otherwise, we are heinous sinners, totally without hope, until we acknowledge our sinfulness, see our great need of a Savior and in faith, we repent, pleading for His mercy. His grace then covers us, making us His own! What a wonder!

2BHizown; Are you among those that believe that Christians commit adultery, kill, steal, lie, worship idols, covet their neighbors wife, dishonor their father and mother? There are many on here that believe that I was just wondering if you are one of them? Don't get me wrong, I believe that we all sinned and broke the Law and come short of the Glory of God and needed the blood of Christ to put off the old man and put on the new.
Are you worshipping in a church where your fellow members are some adulterers, others liars, others killers, others theives and even some that have a golden calf that they worship?

People who deliberately remain in a sinful lifestyle only show they were never saved!
Paul addresses this thought in Rom 6:15 declaring us as christians to be freed from sin, from the desire to sin. When born again we have a new nature that desires only to please God. We are now servants of righteousness and though we do sin at times we are forgiven and seek to be restored. By being servants of God we now have fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life!
Our church practices and upholds church discipline and screens potential members to be as sure as possible they are born again and living a godly life!

What about people who want to live a godly life, but just aren't able to get a handle on their sins. Do you suppose those people can claim the blood of Jesus?

Could anyone tell me what the rest of them were?
