This guy is supposed to be a pastor of the 2nd biggest church in the USA, and yet he blatantly contradicts what the Bible teaches as Facts, and has ten's of thousands that attend his church. This is real scary and should be a warning to all Bible believing Christians, of departing from "the Faith, once and for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3)

Old news. Take it in its full context and what he says is correct. You need to go back to the entire sermon series from which it came and watch in its entirety. He is not saying The Bible is not the inspired, infallible Word of God. What he is saying is that when your kids go to College, the professors will attack the Bible. They will say its myth, simply literature, refuted by science, and refuted by archaeological evidence. When this happens, your kids better have more put in them than "The Bible told me so." They better have a living relationship with Christ that is so real that they will not be moved by the lies about the validity of the written Word.

He says that it does not matter whether Adam and Eve is a "myth", or that the Infallibility of the Bible is not our Foundation? This is very serious stuff which is heresy. This is the same guy who also questions the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that homosexuals who visit his church as a "couple" represent the "modern family". He is VERY dangerous.

I actually did listen to the entire series and was appalled at what he was doing. I get that he was trying to give his congregation some kind of apologetic frame work, but he undercut that very framework at every point. How can one have a relationship with someone they don't know. We know Christ and Him Resurrected through the Bible.

There are other videos of AS on You Tube, where you can hear first-hand his heretical views. And yet his "church" is huge! This is very sad and scary.

I did not see him as under cutting the. Inerrancy of Scripture. I saw him as saying that we must get deeper than simply saying the Bible is true because it's the Bible.

He never went Deeper, He brought up all the objections that people will hear and never answered them at all. He left them out there as if they could be true thus undercutting the inerrancy of Scripture

I will have to see his "heretical" views in full context. What I can tell you is that he has a Church 15 minutes from my house. The youth in that Church are unashamed of their faith and are simply on fire for The Lord. Our past youth pastor was friends with Andy. He had know Andy since College days. I discussed Andy with him at length. He said Andy is very doctrinally sound in his beliefs. He pointed out to me that you have to take what Andy says as 100% literal and don't assume he means more or less than what he literally said. When I applied that rule to Andy, I actually went from not liking him to him being one of my favorite preachers. Having said that, don't expect a seminary level theology lesson from him.

Because an apologetics lesson was not the point of that sermon series. Getting people to have a REAL relationship with God was the point of that sermon series.

And how is one suppose to do that when you destroy the source of Knowing God, His Word. We know about Jesus and the resurrection because of the Bible. He was undercutting the very source of the relationship he claim to be supporting.

He was in no way doing that. He never undercut nor did he undermine the authority of scripture.

I'm listening to it again and he has already said, that
1. The walls of Jericho did not come down
2. The earth is old
3. There are indefensible parts of the Bible

That by definition is undermining the and undercutting the Bible.

HI. I know Jesus cos He revealed Himself to me long before I ever picked up a bible. I don't make any claims to understand the bible fully but I know Jesus n I know He died for me so I can be with Him forever. Most of these preacher guys talk in such a way that I don't know what they're talking about but that doesn't matter, I know His voice n follow Him. Many will be deceived. And if it were down to us, none of us would be saved. But all things are possible with God. He reads the hearts.

later on he dismiss the idea of a world wide flood and the Exodus from Egypt.
