This from the one who denies god-given rights, and who is gleeful when the beasts make war with Christians.

    Ah....resorting to smoke and misinformation.

This is, I suppose, necessary for your socialistic ideologies. You hide them in false accusations nobody - including you - actually believes snd they are overlooked.

No. I said there are two liberties - a political liberty granted by the government and Christian liberty (a liberty that is God given).

You use "sociaism" as an insult because you do not understand what socialism means. This is obvious by your claim my insistence that God-given liberties ate different from rights provided under a government is "the hallmark of Socialistic ideology".

The truth is the exact opposite. Your insistence that the government is a type of god, that liberties allowed by a secular government are the same as Christian, is a concern.

This is what I have posted in regards to the vaccines. I believe:

    1. The vaccines are effective.

    2. People should have the right to choose to take or reject a vaccine.

    3. Men should maintain the right to make decisions concerning businesses they own.

    4. Biden's executive order that private businesses require a vaccine or test is government overreach.

    5. Biden's executive order that federal contract companies require a vacvine is government overreach.

    You call that "leftist".

You are just picking out words you do not understand as insults.

    @Aaron (and @Wingman68 ),

I think what you are not understanding is that I am not advocating a complete laissez faire form of Capitalism (history shows this is problematic).

But I do believe Capitalism in general will take care of many issues without the need for government interference or the removal of current liberties you two suggest.

The problem with stripping existing liberties from citizens, even when it serves your agendas, it it never stops with one agenda but cascades over time.

The rights you seek to remove today will set the precedence for the removal of other rights in the future.

No. Denying the premises of the Declaration of Independence, you said there is no God-given right to life, liberty or property, and in an attempt to hallow your Socialism, you say Christian liberty is the liberty to alienate one's rights.

It's pretty much there in black and white. Now that it hits ya where the good Lord splitchya, you're saying, no, no, no. You misunderstand.

    Yes, they can.

I think most know you use words like "liberal" and "democrat" as insults having absolutely nothing to do with the other member.

You have been around here long enough for us to see through your accusations.

You quote the Declaration of Independence as Scripture?

If you would honestly recall my posts were along the lines that we do not have a unequivocally God given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness without qualification.

My qualification was we cannot accuse God of violating our rights when our life is demanded of us.

Within society we have these rights because men do not have the right to take them away from us.

But nice try. I suppose you thought I'd just let that little bit of misinformation stand.

It does not change the fact you advocate stripping away our rights to create more in your image.

He was addressing me, but he is confused as I have never leaned left....in fact, the disagreement between @Aaron and I for a long time has been I am more conservative than he. While he is more liberal, he is not what I'd call a "leftist". He's just using it as an insult because he lacks the skills to honestly argue his position.

You see? Who's the liar? (Reference to your capricious deletion of the anti-abortion thread.)

Hard to be more honest than a direct link thereto.`

There is nothing like this statment. Your argument was we have no God-given rights. Besides, no one argues that God cannot do what He will with His own. Hath not the potter power over the clay?

    This is a red herring.

...granted by government, is your argument.

That was MY rebuttal. Now you're plagiarizing, like Biden.

God's law is universal, and as God has created all, all by virtue of his creation is under the protections that law provides . One is the protection of innocent life, called in the DOI the right to life. Though shalt do no murder applies as much to governments. Let every soul be subject to the higher powers. Another is the protection of liberty, Thou shalt not steal. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? And the protection of one's happiness, or estate, Thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbor's

You. I think that is obvious to most members here.
Without qualification, we have no God given rights. God is sovereign. It is through Him that we have being, that we exist.

Even our very existance is a grace from God, not a right or entitlement.

You elevate man to the place of God. You diminish God's grace, God's blessings, and God's work to human entitlement.

God was not obligated to give you life. God is not obligated to sustain your life.

Your arrogance and sense of entitlement is astounding.

But the biggest problem with this has been those who do not own the businesses. Mom/Pop shops aren’t the problem with vax mandates.

It’s the govt and big corps. None are owned by one person.

A similar problem with corporations becoming involved in politics beyond the business (e.g. social issues) ... A CEO uses resources which are NOT (his) ... resources gained from a LOT of people ... who may not agree with the use of those resources being used in those extra business decisions.

But that train left the station too ... we fully expect businesses to support our personal programs and petition them for that very thing ... even in the Matching-grant/donation programs.

    it’s insane.

But it’s what is building the unholy alliance between government and big business to become the “dreadful and terrible” beast.

I agree. The federal government has no business telling a private business they have to or cannot require a vaccine or test. This is government overreach.

    No sir.
My meaning is that the most number of people impacted is by big business not thise who own the businesses: sole proprietor

those small businesses, generally have better sense than to make insane policy like having a cv jab requirement. It is the “group think” mentality which is doing this with the collusion with the Fed govt

I don't think we can stereotype people that way (in the end, that is what is happening). The decisions for a business is ultimately based on decisions people make.

I have been surprised with the mask thing. I can go into Walmart, Lowes, a chain restaurant, etc. without a mask. But many mom & pop businesses around here require a mask or is only open for carry out.

And, of course, I never have a mask on me and they rarely have masks avaliable. It is aggravating.

Anyway, I use this example to say I am not sure what mom & pop businesses will do. They are excluded from the federal mandate. But based on their size and typical management to employee relationship, I doubt mandates would criss their minds.

I have read many of your posts. The most relevant is on this thread.

I argued that in the context of human rights we have a God given right to life (men fo not have the right to take our life). But outside of this context we have no rights (God is not obligated to man).

You rejected my conclusions and stated do on this thread. You were not honest enough to deal with my words in their context, but the bottom line is you opposed my comments that men have no entitlements before God.

It does not matter how much Scripture I have read (I have read the entire Bible several times, and studied Scripture in depth both academically and in my personal walk with God).

What matters is how we apply Scripture to our lives. Had you applied Scripture you would have come out a more honest person.

Kinda. These are laws that govern a business. But at the same time these laws can also be considered overreach.

The Supreme Court, for example, determined discrimination that violates the anti-descrimination laws are OK if it is in favor of the minority group as it addresses a problem. This is how we have Black colleges, minority scholarships, etc. I believe this is wrong. It is using racism to address racism.

But the "problem" addressed is ultimately the human condition. We should not need anti-discrimination laws. But we do because a lack of godliness in the world and even in Christians.
