Interesting question, as churches such as Sda and Rome are not Christian church based upon their theology!

For the purpose of this thread, I'm seeking input from Roman Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists, Episcopal, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church (USA), American Baptist, Churches of Christ, United Methodist Church, Anglican, Church of God, Presbyterian Church in America, Assemblies of God, Lutheran-Missouri Synod, Church of the Nazarene, United Church of Christ, Church of God in Christ, Unitarian Universalist, National Baptist Convention, African Methodist Episcopal Church, Latter Day Saints, etc.

Some of those churches confused in their Theology, other outright Cults!

Then you shouldn't have said "Christian", as several groups on that list are not Christian.

Many years ago, back in the early 2000s, there were a lot of non-Christians that posted here. Most were pretty good, but some were just trolling. I remember that one of them was a Wiccan and, ironically, was one of the nicer people here.

Unfortunately, the bad ones ruined it for the good ones and the Administrators completely overreacted and banned all of them. I don't think there have been many non-Baptists since then.

Sounds like nothing as changed, since they also banned others I know, like BobRyan, OneBaptism and others (baptists on this board are actually afraid of Seventh-day Adventists and the truth they share, even having a moratorium on Seventh-day Adventists signing up altogether).

Most of those groups teach the same thing as present-day 'baptists' (which are nothing like the past counterparts), as for instance:

Most of those groups, except the Seventh-day Adventists, teach:

[01] Sunday Sacredness
[02] immortal soul theology (WTS/JW partially excepted here)
[03] immediate reward upon death
[04] no victory over sin in this life (ie saved in sin, somehow)
[05] Michael Archangel is just a created being, not the Son of God
[06] tithe is not required (LDS, and a few others in the list know that tithe is required)
[07] cessation of gifts of the Spirit (LDS and a few others in the list know it continues)
[08] one of the following errors, preterism, futurism, amillennialism, allegoricalism (mysticism)
[09] trinitarianism (Roman def.) (as opposed to Godhead) (LDS slightly differ here, being henotheist)
[10] Jesus took unfallen flesh nature
[11] devil, and all sinners, will live forever, somewhere
[12] various other modes of what they call 'baptism' (sprinkling (aspersion), pouring (infusion), etc, though most Baptists do not, and LDS, have another error in their 'proxy' baptism)
[13] alcoholic 'wine' for Lord's supper and common drinking allowed (exception LDS, and a few others)
[14] sabbath is either abolished, done away, abrogated, transferred (solemnity), etc, no longer the 7th day, etc.
[15] law of God (Ten Commandments) are either changed or not for the Christian in entirety
[16] no knowledge of the Heavenly sanctuary (as per Hebrews, Revelation, etc)
[17] authority not sanctioned by scripture (ie reliance upon 'ecf', etc)
[18] angels do not have physical bodies of celestial flesh, but are merely aethereal
[19] God does not have a physical body (LDS excepted here)
[20] Heaven is not a place but a state of mind (LDS excepted here)
[21] etc.
All the errors are stemming from Rome, and her daughters carry her doctrines and practices, but all in part, as each has decided to carry what they would of their Mother.

No such thing as a "Catholic Christian". Catholcism is at odds with Christianity.
The latter half is true. "Catholicism is at odds with Christianity", but the first half is untrue, as there are such persons who are Christian and yet presently Catholic, living up to the light that they have.

was I saved when I gave my heart to Jesus
Seriously. No disrespect. Where in the Bible is that taught?
More importantly what did that mean to you?

What I would really like to understand from you, back then, what would you have explained to someone how to know for sure about going to heaven?

Salvation is a gift. Not do to what we do. God who saves keeps rhose whom He saves.

I have never said (nor does the Catholic Church teach) you can work your way to eternal life. As a Baptist, I repented of my sins and trusted. the shed blood of Jesus for salvation. Catholism is NOT at odds with that.

Does repented of my sins and confessed Jesus as my Lord and. Savior sound better to you?

Btw, I didn't attend one of your 'Easy Believism' churches.

If so, which denomination do you belong to? :)

Catholic. Love is the highest priory. Every one on earth is in my Family.

You can only love God as much as the one you hate most, can only care for God as the one you care least.

We get heat from all sides the demons hate us, the angels hate us.

Worst of the bunch and master of evil. We'll take that title its a good reminder the only problem between me and God is me not anyone else.

If anyone goes to hell we aim to get them out. If the entire universe hates you, they have to get past me first.
