I'm sorry, Bill, but that doesn't make sense. The "church universal" is made up of all of the saved. It is impossible to be in the "church universal" and be lost.
Perhaps i should have used the, by me, oft avoided term, catholic Church because it is confused with the Catholic Church or maybe I should have explained my intended use of the term because it is common that it is used to describe the saved men but it is also, sometimes used and was used here by me to do that one nasty, objectionable thing common in the world we reside in today, to describe all the sects of Christianity that fall, well, withing the pail of Orthodoxy.

But I can find no biblical reason to fight over the use of a term.

Nope. That's just the errant way you have chosen to look at it. Nobody has told you to call the pastor "father". He IS the overseer of the local church body. And the congregants are to submit to his Christ submitting leadership.

Verbal abuse is NOT in submission to Christ.

no one told him to quietly submit to verbal abuse.

You frankly sound like you just have a problem humbling yourself to submit.

Personally, I think Nodak should buy this and apply it liberally!

I happen to agree with the OP ... there are way too many people sitting in the pews, playing church! But, they will not admit it! That is sad, but reality will hit them when they face off with the one true God at judgement!

I will have to say, I don't expect Cruz to do well at all, even if Kasich drops out. The establishment doesn't like Cruz. He will not prevail in a contested or brokered convention. Kasich is in till the end just to weigh Cruz down, and there's not a blessed thing Cruz can do about it.

Even if the three stay in, I don't think anyone can say with any degree of certainty that Trump won't prevail.

Cruz is a man of principle. I'll give him that. But he needs to pick up the sword and start inflicting damage not on Trump, but on the establishment, but then his well of financing would dry up, wouldn't it?

I agree with Carson.
I find, from past experiences, 2, that these men are numbers people and that translates to the Bottom Line and that translates to, at best, weak faith. It is not given to us to pronounce on them but it is given that we judge the fruit and either teach them or to move along to fertile soil for a good crop.
