The Bible says no one seeks God. You say they do. You are making the Bible to be a liar. So, you know your misinterpretation of scripture doesn't make you look good?
What you mean is that you can't handle Acts 13:48. .
Yes, 3,000 years ago a verse written about pagans says they don't seek God. I believe it.The Bible says no one seeks God. You say they do. You are making the Bible to be a liar.
Sorry, you cannot begin to prove this. Ever heard of Jacob and Esau?
Romans 9:12-24
12 she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
19 You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” 20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? 22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— 24 even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?
Even Luther believed in purgatory. It's an invention of Catholic nonsense and superstition with no scriptural support.
The Bible says that we are chosen before the foundation of the world to HIS glory, not ours.
Romans 8:30
30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

You realize that all who do not know God are pagans...don't you?Yes, 3,000 years ago a verse written about pagans says they don't seek God. I believe it.

Do you imagine you can reach sinless perfection by your own merit? That is the message you are preaching. Your gospel is no gospel at all. You are promoting what Paul called anathema in Galatians. Here is the bottom line you can't sin in heaven only the pure can enter heaven.
Is there going to be a moment when you stop sinning and are made pure?
Indeed. If he knew WWII history and the efforts of Calvinists to save Jews from being destroyed by the Nazi's, perhaps he would recant. This truly is one of the most disgusting things I have read on the BB in a long time. Welcome to my ignore list.
You realize that all who do not know God are pagans...don't you?
There are many others he would have to deny also to be consistant. The Bible says no one seeks God. You say they do. You are making the Bible to be a liar.
There are many others he would have to deny also to be consistant.
Romans 8:7 and Romans 5:10 come to mind.
Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.
Romans 5:10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
1 Corinthians 2:14 Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So, who does this guy seek? The one he is hostile toward? The one he is not subject to? The one he cannot be subject to? His enemy? The one he doesn't receive. The one he considers foolish? The one he can't know?
Uh huh. Sure.
And appointing people.....
Acts 13:48English Standard Version (ESV)
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.
The King James uses the word "ordained". And notice that Acts 13:48 doesn't say who "ordained" these Gentiles. Very important.........
Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
I have found that around the time the King James Bible was published, the word "ordained" was sometimes used to describe when a person becomes "ordained" to a state of being by themselves. It basically meant "disposed to", "established to" or "ordered to". The Canterbury Tales
Also observe, the word "ordained", as used in Acts 13:48, came from the Greek word "tasso". The same Greek word "tasso" is stranslated as "addicted" in 1 Corinthians.......
1 Corinthians 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
What does it mean? The Gentiles who "believed" "gladly"did so because they already longed for eternal life. Is that feasible? Well, the Egypitians, for example, embalmed their dead for the afterlife. Many other gentile groups beleived in an afterlife as well. Today, we have suicide bombers killing themselves for "paradise" with "Allah"(sadly going to Hell). I'm just saying that those Acts 13:48 gentiles who already looked forward to an afterlife, were the ones glad when they heard the Gospel.
τεταγμενοι - appointed. To appoint or set. The word is aBut you won't understand that if you don't understand what the word "ordained" once meant.
