I'm not here to convince you of anything, Willis, except the sufficiency of God's word alone on any given subject...Well, when you can convince me that John 5:28-29 and Matthew 25:31-46 have resurrections that are roughly 1,007 years apart…
What if he doesn't like your style? If he's wrong, then explain it to him patiently....using the Scriptures, Dave.
The Bible is what guides us, but God has given us these blessed ppl to teach us. Look at the book of Acts for instance. They studied it together. They went from house to house breaking bread(I think this was their way of expressing having meals together and not necessarily having communion daily, but I can’t help but think they had church daily).I agree.
But who runs the "academy"?
Who determines what the local body of believers teaches, and who they are composed of?
Well, sermons are forms of commentaries.I'm not here to convince you of anything, Willis, except the sufficiency of God's word alone on any given subject...
Not the sufficiency of commentaries + God's words.
To me, it's the same principle as "monergism" versus "synergism".
Calling it a millennium = it is 1000 years.I never it said it wasn’t forever. I said it came down to man.
Try not taking jabs at me would be a good start. What if he doesn't like your style?
Aren't you Premillennial?Dave,
Respectfully, what I see is someone who sees what he has come to believe, and is arguing with those who don't see it the way that he does.
Should you not present God's word on the subect, and let the reader decide?
What jabs?Try not taking jabs at me would be a good start.
Again, your view of amillennialism isn’t the majority view. I gave you a link, did you read it by chance?Calling it a millennium = it is 1000 years.
I’m not convinced when I told you that I didn’t think Jesus taught a premillennial view. What jabs?
Be careful about teachers, my friend ( Matthew 7:15-20, 2 Peter 2, 1 John 4:1-6 ), they can be wrong...The Bible is what guides us, but God has given us these blessed ppl to teach us.
Most teach an institutional church form that Jesus refuted in the gospels.Again, your view of amillennialism isn’t the majority view. I gave you a link, did you read it by chance?

Especially given that these are the last days.
Yes, I am, and I'm not going to get into a debate with you over it.Aren't you Premillennial?
Institutional church? Please clarify what you mean here. TIAMost teach an institutional church form that Jesus refuted in the gospels.
If you call the kingdom a millennium, you're in Pharisee territory.I’m not convinced when I told you that I didn’t think Jesus taught a premillennial view.
And if you teach amillennialism then you’re in RCC or Greek Orthodox territory. It cuts both ways.If you call the kingdom a millennium, you're in Pharisee territory.
Denominations. Brick and mortar institutions. Unscriptural monarchial bishops.....Institutional church? Please clarify what you mean here. TIA
Jesus taught Amillennialism. But only the born-again can see the kingdom he preached. And if you teach amillennialism then you’re in RCC or Greek Orthodox territory. It cuts both ways.
