Forgive my morbid curiosity. (public poll)

I have seen a few of them... and I am totally repulsed horrified and now afraid to die that way as a result. I can't bring myself to watch these kind of videos anymore knowing it is real and it is my brother or sister. I literally get sick. And I feel sick the more I see "The 21" on my facebook page. I love those guys and what they did and what they stood for. The world was not worthy of them and they totally conquered.

Do you watch these videos? (no judgment if you do or don't, btw)

Lord no. I couldn't stand to watch them. This is the fulfilling of scripture where believers are beheaded for their beliefs.

I have no desire to watch any of those video's. Specifically, they are intended to instill fear. On the other hand..., a few professional sharp shoots could reverse that fear factor causing the cowards to flee back into their caves.

I have witnessed one video, somewhat accidentally, a few years ago. I must say, my response is much more visceral and vengeful. Perhaps it might have to with being reared as a military dependent.

My honest desire is for swift, decisive and extensive military action, much like that exhibited by the King of Jordan....only more.

No option for Yes I did and unsure if I will do so again. I wasn't going to, but then I did. It made me angry. I don't think Christians should be pushed to watch it, but there's something said about seeing persecution and not just hearing about it.

In comes up in conversation with weather, dog show winner and "Hey, did you watch SNL40?" Seems it didn't really affect too many around here. Just another news item.

Case in point, on the news this morning:

Top stories: The Weather, The Westminster Dog Winner.

America needs to wake up.

People ought to watch them so they know what kind of evil we are dealing with. Too many people seem to be content with letting the liberal media lull them to sleep while they let the wolf in the back door.

now afraid to die that way as a result.

Truth be told, you'd probably be afraid to die most any way if you watched a video of it. I saw the pilot burned alive this morning. Is that supposed to be better? Even though it is a fake movie, have you ever seen "Sanctum"? I don't think you could and not be afraid of drowning afterwards. Most people think that a bullet to the head is quick and painless but have you ever seen a video of it happening? It's horriffic.

People who say they aren't afraid to die are idiots. Maybe they're not afraid of being dead, but typically the dying process isn't exactly real pleasant.

I have in the past watched various morbid type videos. Sometimes it is simply to give value to the poor person who died/was executed so that it was perhaps not in vain, find out why and what they stood for. Sometimes it was required as a safety video when in tech school. I can't do it anymore. I have enough garbage flowing through my head, I don't need anymore. Spend enough time with homeless crack addicts and you don't need to add any more misery to your daily viewing of the world.

isn't it like cuttin the head off a chicken? Don't they use a knife? You hit the cardioid & its over instantly.

That's pretty callous and disrespectful. I've seen only maybe 5 of them. It's more like:

1. The victims are trying to be brave and hoping it will be over soon but you can see a dozen emotions flying through their heads, typically will look kind of nervous and bewildered.

2. The moment the knife pierces something they know shouldn't be pierced, there is an unforgettable look in their eyes, often their eyes get huge in horror. I've often wondered why this look didn't come sooner.

3. Usually they start screaming sooner or later, sometimes not, but it is common.

4. If they do, sooner or later they just start gurgling blood and are muted although they're still trying.

It's pretty awful and is often a slow process compared to what most people envision. Think of how long it would take you to cut a hindquarter off of a deer after hunting. It's pretty similar, slow sawing through ligaments and joints.

The ones that did surprise me were some of some villagers somewhere in the middle east, they just kind of accepted their fate, laid down sideways, being very respectful to the executioner and working with him to position themselves exactly like he wanted. When he started cutting, there was no fighting, ever, no emotions ever shown, no flopping around, nothing. They got cut then rolled limply into a mass grave, then the next guy willingly walked up to the pit and did the same thing. That disturbed me more than the ones who were fighting somewhat.

So would you vote with the Yes and I still do category?

Just reading your post and your observations gave me visuals and made me nauseous.

Usually when cutting the head off of a chicken, it's a thin neck and the knife goes through fast. For a human neck, it is much thicker and much more work to get through the whole thing.

This passage leaps to my mind...

--according as it hath been written -- `There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who is understanding, there is none who is seeking after God. All did go out of the way, together they became unprofitable, there is none doing good, there is not even one. A sepulchre opened [is] their throat; with their tongues they used deceit; poison of asps [is] under their lips. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Swift [are] their feet to shed blood. Ruin and misery [are] in their ways. And a way of peace they did not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.'(Rom. 3:10-18 YLT)

Guys, the bible going according to plan...
