Biden tells another whopper

So his claim is not that there was no vaccine but that there was none held?

What happened to Biden's criticism that Trump was holding those vaccines (for a second dose) and they needed to go out (for a 1st dose) with the 2nd dose being met by production?

A major part of the story is that Biden is a brazen liar and deceiver, an absolute hypocrite, though that is hardly news. Just like all the Dems, he wants to paint Trump as completely incompetent and himself as a political Messiah. The Dems are intent on taking credit for the fantastic job Trump did to get vaccines developed and distributed.

Another major part of the story is the brazen hypocrisy of the Dem Media as they try to shield their own from being confronted for their obvious lies and deceptions, instead of setting up a counter like they did against Trump.

Left-wing fact-checkers rushed to Biden’s defense, claiming that his remark was “a typical Biden gaffe.”

Umm thats exactly what he is claiming
Not in the article you presented. In the article he does use those words....but then reading it he qualifies his statement to mean "we got into office and found out the supply, there was no backlog, I mean, there was nothing in the refrigerator, figuratively and literally speaking.....and there are 10 million doses a day that were avaliable. We've upped that in the first three weeks that we were in office to significantly more than that".

So, not to defend Bien but to point out the dishonesty on the Right.....We complain when the DNC does stuff like this to Trump, but apparently the Right is no better than the Left when it comes to twisting things into a lie.

It is a lie to say that Biden is claiming that there was no vaccine when he came into office and leave it at that because in the very article he states otherwise and clarifies his comments.

I suppose it does not matter when the person is on opposite ends of the political spectrum. It's a liar's game (and The Daily Wire his proved itself to be "fake media" with the article....at least just as fake as the ones they complain about).

I agree with your assessment of the DNC. BUT this time the article is dishonest. Biden did say "we didn't have a vaccine" but then goes on to qualify the comment as meaning a backlog of vaccines (he claims that there was no vaccines available, that millions of doses were being provided daily and he increased that amount).

The question is why the Right can be so dishonest and have the gall to call the dishonesty of the Left into question. This is pots and kettles, nothing more. The Left did it to Trump, now the Right is doing it to Biden..

This is the real election fraud. Both sides are willing and comfortable lying to their base.

But he did not clarify. My point, which still stands, is that his language is designed to give the impression that Trump was failing on all fronts and that he has to fix all of these problems that Trump supposedly left him. Biden, like all of the Dems, is a liar and deceiver, and their Dem Media tries to cover for them and lie and deceive along with them. If the Dem Media were consistent, they would be all over this, treating it as lying and deceiving.

No, it is not.

@Reformed1689 made a very good point about the dishonesty of the DNC (the impeachment trial) for creating a false context for Trumps words (they cut out the "peacefully protest" and reported his words as telling folk to go and fight....which were his words and per YOUR argument was enough).

Dishonesty is dishonesty. It is no better when the Right does it, and certainly no better when professing Christians do it.

But he DID clarify.

The OP falsely claims that Biden was saying his administration had no vaccine (I clarified this with @Revmitchell ).

But Biden says there was no stockpile, that millions of vaccines had been given out and the fridges were empty.

This is an issue in itself (Biden had already complained that Trump was holding doses). There was need to twist Biden's words.

Always be careful of headlines........
That is where the lie is most often told.

It amazes me how two different news papers can report the same thing yet communicate the opposite message.

The power of spin, I guess.

OK, perhaps the semantics are a roadblock here, and my comments are not about defending the OP, but about what Biden actually said and did not say.

I'm linking this MSN spin on it to show what they admit (see The vaccine situation). Obviously, their "analysis" is typical Dem Media spin, and that is my point about all of this, the ridiculously biased way the Dem Media spins rather than confronts Dem deception.

Fact check: Biden made at least 4 false claims at town hall

Biden did not clarify. He did some obfuscating and then obfuscated further by saying they didn't have "the vaccine" when he took office. Using the phrase "the vaccine" instead of just "vaccine" actually implies they hadn't even finished developing it yet. Where did he bother to clarify? The MSN bunch have to go back to something earlier to make their case. Biden was obfuscating, not clarifying.

But Biden obfuscates much much than just at that one point. He also ridiculously suggests that there was no plan for how to administer the vaccine. His entire presentation of this is a deception.

Yep. What everyone should be paying attention to here, though not just here, is how the Dems manipulate the narrative to imply that the Federal Government should be in direct control of everything.

Saying there is nothing in the fridge when the states already have the vaccine because distribution was so efficient is entirely mendacious. The government is supposed to be "we, the people" but that is not the Dem vision, not at all. If the states have vaccine in hand, then we have vaccine.

Of course everyone "wants it yesterday," but without Trump's bold planning and strategy, we wouldn't have it at all. The Dems are desperate to discredit Trump and steal for themselves the credit belonging to him. The Dems are hypocrites extraordinaire.

But the real danger lies in their totalitarianism. They already have a near monopoly on media and education.

It wasnt a clarification. It was more incoherent babbling. Nothing unusual for him him. He said exactly what he meant to say

It depends on how we are taking the comment "no vaccine".

If the claim is Biden's statement was that no vaccine existed when he took office then that is a lie. That is not what Biden was saying (per his own words).

If the claim is Biden's statement was that no vaccines were stockpiled at the federal level for future distribution then that accurately reflects Biden's claim (which is at odds with his earlier claim that Trump was holding these vaccines when he should have been distributing them).
