Wow, I can't believe this thread is still alive, although quite twisted. I just posted it to relieve a little stress.

As far as the 'Super Chistian" comment. It's just a term I made up years ago to define those who feel they are closer to God because of things they do or don't do. It does not apply to those who do or don't do out of a sincere love for God, but those who base the actions on a beleif that somehow they impressed God with said action or non-action.

Does that even make sense?

Just remember the poem written by Milton, On Hs Blindness:

"They also serve who only stand and wait..." And the old saying: "Your life speaks so loud, I can't hear the words you say."

Cheers,

Jim

I believe Samson was a Nazarite!

Judges 13:5. For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

Jesus Christ was not a Nazarite and the Apostle Paul states:

1 Corinthians 11:14. Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
OK I knew that. I'm addressing the problem (so-called) of long hair.

Also, I'm not sure what Paul meant by " Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?".

Surely Paul was aware of the Nazarite vow and that there was no shame involved.
