I have a sail boat.
Brother, we are all frustrated. I was thriving under Bill Clinton, even for a time under Bush then they pulled the rug out from under me. and then when I established my own business BO Health Care & Clients not paying me killed me. So I am in the same boat. Her health broke down and the cost to keep her alive (much more the stress) is enormous. Now having to worry about being jammed for pre existing conditions. Enough said though. Others are probably worse off.
Maybe its time for the feds to reconsider single payer....I am serious here. Every country that has it is far happier than we are.
I don't know about single payer, but something needs to be done.
I'm a lawyer and I make out OK -- we're not getting rich, but we're getting by fine because we don't have a mortgage and drive Fords instead of BMWs. Writing a check for $3,750 still hurts, but that's what I'll have to do for my daughter's surgery. We struggled for years, figured out how to make ends meet, set back some money and now it feels like we're being penalized. Our healthcare costs tripled one day and that has an interesting trickle-down effect. How do we cover it? Pass it on to our clients.
Again, it is unfortunate about your wife. There is nothing worse than constantly worrying about someone that close to you.
Around here (Arkansas), everyone wants a bass boat...
you are being penalized.....actually your getting shaken down. Don't you feel that its wrong to give the biggest tax breaks to the very rich? I'm tired of picking up the bill for the Fat Cat Wall Street Guys & the 1%ers....so please tell me why all these programs are biased toward the rich?
Let's see here. As someone who is self employed, I get to pay $800 a month for health care thanks to Obama because I don't get subsidies (apparently, I'm rich). So, that's $9,600 a year for a family policy.
Oh, and then there's a $3,750 deductible per person that caps at $7,500 for the family.
In other words, we get to pay about $17,100 a year before our health insurance does a thing. That means I get to write a check of up to $3,750 for my daughter's upcoming gall bladder surgery because our ObamaCare policy is next to worthless. It would be cheaper to just have no health insurance -- a strategy I would adopt if I knew I wouldn't have to worry about the tax penalties involved. Just a couple of years ago, our health insurance was cheaper and had a $500 deductible. Obama and all of you who support him have decided to deny me my health coverage because -- I don't know -- it wasn't fair in a socialistic sense or something.
And, I get to listen to people like you tell me this is all a great idea. Got anything else you want to say, ace?

let's also not forget that insurance companies are pulling out of obamacare left and right. The dems have broken health insurance and in the process made it very difficult to fix
My family of four is $18,900 a year, Same deductibles as you. We're all relatively healthy. Might as well light the money on fire.

..apparently a Single Payer System. Perhaps that is where we as a country really need to be.
Up to your old tricks again - slightly moderated!?!?So you have no sympathy for EWF or his wife.
That would be unAmerican and people as will I, fight it tooth and nail. We need to just go back to they way it was before the dems broke it.
Believe it or not, I am actually in favor of it. I guess some will demand I surrender my conservative card but.........Brother, we are all frustrated. I do business with a lot of Canadians. They seem to love their healthcare system. They compare the wait times for care as similar to the U.S. system. I honestly think Trump supports single payer.Reynolds, seriously don't worry what they think....consider what is best for the country. In today's world it is vital for health & survival. I could tell you from marked experience that Israeli's slant towards European culture, not ours & they are extremely happy with their healthcare. We are the only ones fighting this and soaking Americans....next killing Americans for this mess of Obama care & in the future Trump care.
if he did then he shout scrap this push the buffalo off the cliff. Start the process of examining the best HC system out there and emulate it.I do business with a lot of Canadians. It will never happen in a single step. It will be a very long, very screwed up, process.if he did then he shout scrap this push the buffalo off the cliff. Start the process of examining the best HC system out there and emulate it.
