Van's fixation about using the word 'person' in the first clause of 1 Cor. 11:3 is patently absurd. The person, Van, stands alone in his 'translation.' There is not a single legitimate version that uses that word there.
Let's see how much sense it makes in some snippets later on in the following verses.
