Have you so conveniently forgotten that war where we sent you guys packing after you slaughtered, tortured, our men women and children burned our homes all in the name of the King?

Sorry given that we then kicked your backsides and sent you home you dont get to then claim you founded us.

Mitchell is a very British name :Laugh

'Pears as how ONE poster seems to regularly PROVE the old adage of:
"Tis better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!"

I anxiously await a very sophomoric retort!

As compared to what? Being shut down last year? It has no where else to go. This growth is miserable and inflation is on the rise due to the government spending.

All governments have to spend to keep the economy alive, otherwise there will be huge contraction and job losses. Debt can always be repaid when the economy begins to grow more and be stable. For a small country like the UK, we had to borrow over £400 billion to help the economy and save jobs as companies. It has already started to pay of as we grew more that the whole EU combined, no doubt also helped by Brexit.

Don't forget that WE brought Christianity to your godless land

YES - YOUR religion - and if you were not Angaligan - you would be punished.
RogerWilliams was expelled by the Puritan leaders from the Massachusetts Bay Colony for spreading "new and dangerous ideas," and established Providence Plantations in 1636 as a refuge offering what he termed "liberty of conscience."
then he started First Baptist in Rhode Island - where there was TRUE religious freedom.

and - of course things are better from an economic point of view.
But then again - last year - a good portion of the economy was shut down due to the Chinese virus!

You have still not answered my question. Perhaps the THIRD time will be the charm:

The police arrive at a scene where a girl has attacked one person (lying on the ground) and is approaching a second person with a kitchen knife. As the police approach, the second victim stumbles and the girl raises the knife to stab the second victim. What do the Police in "civilized countries" (like the UK) do?
I’ll answer.

First, UK police will raise a hand and say in a somewhat stern voice,

“ma’am, there is no need for violence. Our crisis intervention counselor is on the way to help you to recognize and properly control your emotions”

As the maniac begins stabbing the other girl, and that girl screams in terror for help, he will say, in a somewhat more harsh tone,

“ma’am, in the name of the Queen I am ordering you to stop stabbing that young girl, if you continue it is likely you could cause serious bodily harm and perhaps even death”

As the victim bleeds to death, someone will say, “see at least out police didn’t kill someone.”

peace to you

Right. Christians bringing Christianity to your godless land.

peace to you

No Roman Catholic brought true Christianity to England. As with Martin Luther, who might have been a Roman Catholic, but when God showed him the Truth in the Bible, and he was saved, he no longer was a RC! You need to get your facts right

They brought scripture and every essential doctrine for Christianity to start in your godless land.

Agreed they brought a few extra things that led to confusion, but they did, in fact, being Christianity to your godless land.
