There is nothing wrong with a Christian hating the ways of the world.

One can "hate" the policies of the Administration, and I hate almost all of them, without hating the man. I hated Bill Clinton's sexual escapades in the Oval Office, too, but I do not hate him. There IS a difference.

We can respect the office of POTUS but that does NOT necessarily mean we have to respect the man presently in the office. And yes, now, thanks to BC's escapades and everything being blabbed about sexual stuff all over the world, on the internet, etc., there's a disrespect for the office now that never used to be there to this degree.

When people are elected, they are supposed to do the will of the electorate - they are supposed to do their jobs.

I HATE the fact that this President and this Republican majority Congress have let down this Republic since 09/11 by not enforcing our immigration laws. I really HATE it.

I really HATE that Bush has said Muslims worship the same God as we do - I really HATE that.

I HATE the Road Map from Hell that rewards terrorists in Israel by giving them land.

I HATE the fact that we went to war without a post-war plan.

I HATE the fact that so many "brilliant" people in government were snookered by faulty intelligence and went to war without hard evidence.

I HATE the fact that our government and intelligence did little to nothing to prevent 09/11 from happening.

I HATE the fact they still really don't take it seriously enough to do what is necessary, but not politically correct - by booting out the terrorists from among us.

I HATE the fact that people in this administration and their relatives are profiting off of the war and lining their pockets with riches.

I HATE the fact there are people who have been in business with the House of Saud for decades and they will not take a firm stand to cut off the funding for worldwide terrorism.

I HATE the fact that terrorists have been invited to and have visited the White House of the people of these United States.

I HATE the fact that American jobs continue to be shipped overseas in quest of the corporate almighty dollar.

I HATE the fact that even with a Republican majority Congress and Republican Administration, we are still butchering unborn babies by the thousands every day in this country.

There's a lot I hate about our corrupt government. That does not mean I hate any individual in the government, but yes, I HATE some of their actions and inactions. I HATE their lies. I HATE their greed. I HATE their corruption. From BOTH major political parties.

But above all, I HATE the fact there is really nothing the citizens can do about it except voice their opinions, because it's been that way for so long now, it's a runaway train. And one day, all voices of dissent will be squashed. Only some voices of dissent are squashed now.

    Power corrupts.

    [/rant]
    </font>
Isnt all the above what was called compartmentalization during the Clinton years [for which ability he was highly praised in some circles]? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

    Agreed.

    Agreed.

    Agreed.

Disagreed. In WWII, post-war plans for Germany weren't started until Feb. 1945 (Yalta Conference), just months before VE.

Disagreed (sort of). Although the reasons were faulty- I would have just preferred the truth (and I would have still been for the war).

    Agreed.

Absolutely Agreed. According to Islam, any land that is not Muslim is considered a holy battleground, and it is not finished until all their 'enemies' are dead, enslaved, or driven out.

Possibly. There are fishy connections here.

    Same as previous.

    Agreed.

    Agreed.

    Agreed.

    Agreed.

I am not going to scroll through endless posts just to find the word "hate" to satisfy you. It is obvious to anyone who is the least perceptive that there are a lot of Bush Haters on this Forum. </font>
Okay, OldRegular, this foolishness is getting very old. It's time to act like an adult and provide proof for your ridiculous and unproven claims.

I have never seen anyone use the word "hate" to describe how they feel about President Bush. I have asked you more than once to prove this, and you refuse. I have tried to be nice, and you continue to refuse. Since you cannot or will not provide any proof for the claim that YOU made, &lt;personal attack deleted - LE&gt;.

Note to Moderators: I asked several times for proof - and OldRegular has refused repeatedly.

    So, to recap:

OldRegular: Why is it that on this supposedly Christian Forum there are so many people who hate President Bush so much and do all they can to tear him down?

Baptist in Richmond: Give us the proof for your claim.

    OldRegular: No.

Baptist in Richmond: Hey, you made the claim, prove it.

    OldRegular: No.

Say goodbye to your credibility, OldRegular.

Don't worry: you really don't have to reply to this. Any reply, other than providing that elusive proof for the claim that YOU made, is nothing more than abject fatuity. Undoubtedly, you will respond anyway..........

    Regards,
    BiR

P.S. A free bit of advice: if you are going to try to make this personal and accuse me of being "repetative," the least you could do is utilize dictionary.com.

A man is known by his deeds. Many here bear testimony to their hatred for the President. One need not use the word "Hate" to convey their mind. And most of you "haters" of President Bush are far to politically correct to be caught using that word. Aren't you?

Wrong...He is hated because the world hates Jesus Christ and anyone that openly proclaims him.

If I oppose Bush's myriad appointments of homosexuals on the basis of God's views on that sin, does that make me a Bush hater?

If I did not vote for him, does that make me a Bush hater?

We all oppose Bush on domestic issues here and there--he does not veto Congressional spending bills and he does not speak for building a great wall of China along our borders.

However, if you curse the President and call him vile names as the devout Catholic Mrs. Sheehan (a member and youth worker of St Mary's Catholic Church, Vacaville, California) has done, then you are a hater--and you are an uncouth potty mouth.

I don't know. We Americans allow a lot of personal freedom in politics. It is a minor vice to think that politics has the solution to any problem. I think that our politics should be friendlier. My job brings me into contact with a few high-ranking Hoosier Democrats. I seek friendly, good relations with them and no mention of things political unless they bring it up. The bigger they are the nicer they are. I would say that the Democrats that I know are very nice, kind people.

Please show me where I ever used the word "hate," hillclimber. You specifically addressed me in this post, so show me where I ever eluded to hating the President. You really need to come up with something to support your claim here, because anyone familiar with my posts knows that I do not speak in implications. Show me anything I posted that implies that I "hate" the President. Bear in mind that disagreeing with a policy DOES NOT constitute hatred.

Additionally, do not forget that this is cyberspace. I don't know you and you don't know me. It is not only egregious to make a specific claim about someone's opinions, it is wildly irresponsible.

This is really getting ridiculous. Let's see where anyone has done anything to "bear testimony to their hatred for the President."

Your credibility is on the line here.

BiR, I doubt that hillclimer will respond with any facts to back up his claim against you. However, you can probably expect a continued assault on yourself because you don't march in lock-step with this Republican administration.

BTW, I can only imagine what hillclimer and his ilk think about my opinions of Bush. They probably think that I am president of the "George W. Bush Hate Club."

You make a very important point and that is one of the reasons I started this discussion. I can understand why the world hates President Bush, I just don't understand why "Christians" would hate him, disagree yes, but hate?

The original OP asked the question:
The response has been interesting. There is an old saying which I think characterizes the response: A guilty conscience needs no accuser!
