The response has been interesting. There is an old saying which I think characterizes the response: A guilty conscience needs no accuser! </font>
Until you prove your contention by providing even ONE person who has used the word "hatred" to describe their feelings for President Bush, you have yet to prove this despite your repeated claims to the contrary.

A claim in perpetuity does not constitute proof.

To reiterate:
Any reply, other than providing that elusive proof for the claim that YOU made, is nothing more than abject fatuity.

What if I started a thread saying how wrong it was for so called Christians to worship President Bush, would that be acceptable? Would anyone who disagreed be guilty by their response?

And of course you still do not answer. Throw out an accusation then accuse anyone who responds negatively of guilt.

Poster after poster have stated they do not hate the president. You imply that they do.

Your OP flashed charges of which you have no evidence. Can yiu imagine what our courts would be like with this logic?

It would appear that I am not the only one who notices your lack of proof......

</font>
If you start the thread I will be one of the first to agree. It would be wrong, not just wrong, but downright sinful for "so called Christians", real Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddahists, Hindus, Shintos, New Agers, Scientologists, or just plain old pagans to worship anyone other than God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Ah, and there's the point. If I took the same position you did I would simply say that many folks here worshipped President Bush, then never give any proof of it. I would say things like, "If you can't see the Bush worship in these posts then it would do no good to point them out to you."

The charges in your OP are baseless, just as mine would be if I posted my theoritical thread.

What about those voters that agree with Bush 50% of the time, yet "hate" his policies the other 50% of the time, does that mean the sometimes "hate" Bush?

George Washington refused to join any political party, and warned us about the dangers of political parties in his farewell address. It's apparent today that the majority never heard or just aren't heeding his warning.

Ah Ha, you are entitled to be wrong and you are. The tenor of many posts on this Forum are not just against the policies of President Bush but demonstrate a visceral hatred of him both as a person and as President.

I do not agree with all of President Bush's policies. I am particularly concerned about his policy on illegal immigration. That does not mean I hate him on those occasions or that I dislike him. Since I do not know him personally I could not do either. In the OP I quoted certain Scripture. They are worth repeating.

Jesus Christ has told us:

John 13:34. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 13:35. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 15:12. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:17. These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Okay - lets find out.

Who here hates President Bush? Who has violated the Scriptures you posted?

To accuse a brother of hatred, with no basis and no proof is simply wrong and a false attack on a brother in Christ. You have made your opinion of the posts out to be fact.

Using your logic,OR -

"The tenor of many posts on this Forum are not just for the policies of President Bush but demonstrate a idolisation of him both as a person and as President."

I do not hate President Bush, nor do I recall others on this board indicating that they hate President Bush. I disagree with many of his policies; however, I do not hate him, nor have I ever indicated that I do.

I would be curious to know your feelings about Bill and Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy. Do you just disagree with them or do you "hate" them as you accuse us of doing with Bush?

Have Bill and Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy openly proclaimed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior?

You just don't get it.

A claim in perpetuity does not constitute proof.

To reiterate:
Any reply you offerr, other than providing that elusive proof for the claim that YOU made, is nothing more than abject fatuity.

Have Bill and Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy openly proclaimed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior? </font>
So its okay to hate them if they are not Christians?

Old Regular:

You asked:

Have Bill and Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy openly proclaimed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior?
We can't judge their relationship with Christ. That's between them and God. The point is that it's not okay to hate Bush, the Clinton's or Ted Kennedy! Don't you get it?

The point is not to falsely accuse a brother or sister in Christ of hating Bush, Clinton, or Ted Kennedy when one can't prove such statements have been made. Unless someone out and out says "I hate somebody" then the finger of accusation should not be pointed at a fellow member of this board.

If someone makes an accusation, it is up to the accuser to furnish proof. Otherwise, it can be considered trolling. Trolling is against the posting rules. #5

I suppose that if people are not free to voice their opinions about politics or our political leaders without being accused of hatred, maybe it would be a good thing to just do away with the Politics Forum, eh?

I'd personally rather have it done away with than have all of these false accusations and innuendoes going on.

May I remind you what the OP asked:

You folks brought Bill, Hillary, and Ted into the conversation. Have I said that it is OK to hate them? Is it okay to hate the Islamic terrorists?

..........and yet, some continue to do so.......

Why should the rest of us be punished for the sins of a few?
