An interesting urban legend I heard the other day was that God only chose to save some people and that he determined to send other people to Hell, with no chance at salvation. What a crock!
Bolded mineBesides, God didn't send them to hell. They are going on their own accord. God simply passes unbelievers by to their own fate.
Cheers,
Jim

But, does this not mean that the individual has a choice - their own accord-----to their own fate?
I took a quick look at a couple of the pages. I've heard of most of them, I'd guess 4 out of 5.
Besides spam the next biggest scourge of email is the constant forwarding of urban legends. I used to reply to them with rebuttals and links to factual articles disproving them, but I get the same urban legend emails from the same people time and time again.
I'll stand off to the side when you laugh in God's face brother.
The UL that is my pet peeve is the one about the FCC being petition to take all religious programing off the airwaves -
totally fiction - do not forward that email.... esp to me.
I'm sorry to have to say this, but based on the outlandish e-mails that get sent my way from brothers and sisters in Christ and things that I hear people on the internet swearing to that are so OBVIOUSLY stupid, I have come to this conclusion .....
.... Christians are some of the most gullable and ignorant people that I know.
Many of them will believe and forward ANYTHING!!!!
And it drives me absolutely batty! :BangHead:
And NONE of them know how to type in snopes.com It's really not that hard!
I have offended a handful of wonderful and sweet people by suggesting that they use snopes before they repeat things that they read or hear.
