There is no central missionary board to direct and manage the missionaries, and pay the salaries, coordinate mission fields, etc...

Not for the independent mission boards - they all have their own policies.
And the IFB missionaries do not get "Salaries" Their income is base on the
amounts different churches give to them

Now, the SBC does have the central missionary boards, as well as the American Bap Convention.

One other thing - even though we are SBC and do support the Co-op pgrm - we also support a IFB missionary.

Many, many more Catholic Churches opening worldwide than closing. the Catholic church has the fastest growing Church in the world.
Do you have a non-Roman Catholic reference for that?

Baptist churches are closing left and right where I live.
Are they closing or are some merging?

American Baptist churches that hold 500 or more people have membership of about 15 to 20. mostly gray haired women

Unfortunately
that is probably true - and not just on the Left coast
I was interim pastor of such a ABC church last year (Upstate NY) - and the average age of members was about 60
No children in attendance.
and the worse part - no desire for evangelism.

Not quite - the most we have had is 192.1 inches - info from the Golden Snowball award
Now if you go up to Tug Hill area regularly gets over 200 inches a year

and then you come to Syracuse, and never stopped off to see me!!!
That was years ago brother... now it’s unbelievable I did that treck.

I had a job offer with a company in Syracuse and every interview I took with them they asked how my wife would cope with the snow. My answer was if it worked out economically she would. It didn’t and naturally she (and I) declined.

No children in attendance.

I have been in lot's of different Catholic churches mainly in the Midwest and East Coast, always plenty of families with children. Here in Florida it's mainly an older crowd.

Bible states that you will not know so please substantiate your statement... if you can. Thanks.
Matthew 24 for starters.
Then we have 2 Timothy 3.

Finally,
Believers know the signs of the times, and know when He is close ( Matthew 24:33 ).
It will not overtake them as a theif:

" But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."
( 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 ).

True, we do not know the hour or the day...
But we know when it's close.

The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press is an independent, non-partisan public opinion research organization. Not a Catholic source

Than that is what you should have said to begin with.
Since I did open the link, I saw that.

Do you ever get the sense that many here don't want His imminent return? Even so come Lord Jesus.

This passage is speaking of the preparedness of Christ's faithful - NOT that we know when He's coming.
If we are prepared - then His return won't come like a thief in the night.

The imminence of His return has been expected since the NT was written in the first century . . .

There is no such thing as a Roman Catholic Church. As somebody said many years ago, "They are theatres without the name."
But then, so are mamny charismatic churches.
