Mornin Folks,
Up & at'em to get some papers.
Got part of the yard mowed yesterday, no rain to stop me!
MK, BH didn't used to act differently around Jerry, this just started recently is why I think he "spooked" her or something when we were'nt around. He'd do something to her just to get at me, that's one reason I don't like him here, but, he's my wife's son. He's just a mean & uncaring person who I used to try to get along with, but I believe we should only have to put up with so much in our own house,...but then thats me.
There's my mini-rant for the month..gotta go get papers! Drive around & melt & come home & mow some more. At least I got the hardest part done.

Good Morning Everyone!

Preacher, you mean we're only supposed to rant just once a month? Oh my, I'm way over that. :D

My grass probably won't get mowed today either. It must have rained all night cause everything is soggy this morning. It would be nice if things dried out enough so I can mow this evening as the grass is beginning to embarrassing. I've got some weed eating to do to. The morning glories are trying to cover up the pool pump and grow up the side of the pool. They are only supposed to grow up the sides of the deck. I've either got to move them or cut them and that depends on how hot it is the minute I have to make the choice.

The rest of today will be spent buying groceries and more stuff for the bathroom. Gotta pick out molding and a shower head today and maybe a new light fixture if we can find one cheap. The old one is ugly. I may consider putting a coat of paint on it if I can't find one that suits me.

There's half a dozen other things I need to spend a few minutes on today, but we'll see. Right now I'm off to see what's happening.

Ya'll have a good day!

Oops! Almost forgot to tell Sue thank you for the donuts. MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Good Afternoon Guys & Gals,
Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans...

Our son hasn't been able to get all the packing done(thanks to overtime & water problems), so there isn't going to be any moving done today. Just as well, I guess. It's in the high 90's here with Heat Indexes of over 100 and it's supposed to stay that way all week too.

I'm not a TV or sports fan (except NASCAR), so I guess it's just going to be a quiet day spent inside, out of the heat & humidity. It's too hot to do anything, including eat(I only eat 1 meal a day anyway-and that takes real effort).

Hope everybody's able to stay cool & comfortable.

Wow! Another quiet day. Can't have that.

I'm letting the kids loose!

There's only four and the extra one will clean up after the others if you look hard at her. She doesn't understand what the word guest means.

I hope no one else wanted the leftover dounuts! (or the Sprite, Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew)

See ya in the morning!

Good morning all,

I had a great time Friday night and yesterday visiting with Pastor Bob, and his family, from Kansas. My oldest daughter, Laura and family, from Indiana, and my youngest daughter, Shawna and family, from Wisconsin. They came in on Friday afternoon and left last night. They are usually 'flying' trips, but it's still wonderful to see them all.

Ingredients are all layed out (in coolers) on the counter for BOILED OMELETS, and there's fried potatoes in steamer and warm biscuits in the basket, so everyone make your own breakfast...

Time for showers, breakfast, and church.

HAGD!

Good Breakfast! Oh, & BH said thanks for the tater!
May have found me a riding mower yesterday. Friend of Agee's gave her a number to call for a guy that works on them. I called yesterday evening & he's working on an older Craftsman that he's got to put another engine on. I'm gonna take my old one over there & if the motor will work on it then he said he'd put it on & I'll have a bigger mower for next to nothing! Even if mine won't work he said he'd do some horse-tradin' with me. So I should be ridin in style by next week!

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for the coffee Preacher. I put a loaf of monkey bread on the counter for all who would like a piece. Ya'll leave leave the light side alone, that's for Jim. I made his without so much butter and brown sugar.

Gotta run and see what kind of meat I can find and then go to the fabric store. Hopefully it won't be too hot when I get back, cause the grass HAS to be mowed today and it's going to rain again this pm.

Ya'll have a good day!

Good Morning Guys and Gals,

It is HOT here in Michigan today-just about the whole lower third of the lower peninsula is under Heat Advisorys today(could that be why we have a town named Hell, MI?)
.
Thanks Cindi, I haven't had Monkey Bread in a long time.

Sean starts his Physical Therapy today. I brought him in to say Hi to everybody before we leave. I think today is more of an evaluation to see what he needs. He'll be going twice a week for therapy. Sorry kid, no cyber aunts are here , so you'll have to make do with me( I know, I'm a poor substitute for beautiful women who can't keep their hands off you).

Gotta go, will try to stop in again later.

(PS - Change of plans, guess Sean's Mother has to take him for the first visit - oh well, at least I got to see him before he had to go. Heartbroken Papa will have to mope until Sean gets home. * SIGH *

Good morning all,

I'll catch Sean when he gets back!

Cindi:I brought a batch of Monkey Bread too, but I make mine different than you do.

Jim: You can eat mine 'cause I made it with Splenda, low-fat margarine and cinnamon.

Brent and I have been experimenting with fruit smoothies every night instead of having a 'sweet' cake snack before we go to bed. I make them with low-fat yogurt, Splenda, Skim milk, and fresh fruit - so they are healthy.

So far we've tried Banana (with raw eggs) and Chocolate Banana (no eggs). Tonight is Orange and tomorrow night is Strawberry (both of these have yogurt in them).

We're having fun with it, and this winter I will try some veggie smoothies, once in a while.

Heat Advisory out again today and tomorrow. That means I will be staying inside. This is the fourth day in a row we've had one. Temps are almost 100º and humidity is in the 90's. Heat index is around 110º.

Time for monkey bread and skim milk (no coffee for me today),

Good afternoon all!

We are back safe and sound. I did have BB withdrawals though!

We had a Friday and Saturday full of eating and shopping and visiting. Yesterday I got up early and went to work in the nursery with Blythe where I started out with 1's and ended up with creepers. I'd forgotten about bouncin' two on my hips at a time!

Yesterday afternoon was a bit harrowing. Blythe's mom was in a horrible wreck. She couldn't get Blythe so she called me. http://www.wect.com/Global/story.asp?S=5216715 Ron called almost as soon as I hung up, so I could let him and Joe know what was up. Praise God no one was seriously hurt, although mom and the truck driver will be severely hurting for days.

Gotta go catch up on all the news. I missed you guys!

Grocery shopping done! Hit the jackpot in the meat aisle and ended up with enough meat for the entire month! :) Found some deals on canned veggies too. Peaches are finally in but they aren't very good. I'm going to make peach cobbler with them and no one will know the difference. I was looking forward to a good fresh peach though. Guess it's been to dry this year.

Got the lawnmowing done too. (see I've been busy) I wanted to go on and do the weedeating but it is just to hot. Maybe this evening.

Right now I'm going to go get the grass off and get to the sewing machine. Those baby outfits won't sew themselves.

Hello,

Cindi, have you tried the Mock Mushrooms yet? I will be making some later.
Sue, should they be done in a skillet, or is a deep fryer ok?

I found some lighthouse wallpaper border at Wal-Mart yesterday and I wasn't even looking for anything. Just wandering the aisles killing time.

I'd been looking, with no luck, for some fabric with lighthouses to make curtains for the window. Now guess I'll use a solid for the curtain. (Does that sound like a good idea?)

You know Gayla, I was thinking about the mock mushrooms earlier. The problem is, I'm too tired to cook right now. :( My lawnmowing has gotten the best of me, I'm afraid.

Solid color curtains would be okay. You could even pick up a second color from the border and trim the curtain with that, if'n you wanted to work that hard.

My bathroom is down to the last sanding and then priming. Too tired to sand (stupid grass) so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. We are hoping to paint this weekend!!! We bought ourselves a snazzy new massaging shower head as motivation to get the job done. It can't go up until the paints done. Course we found two equally snazzy new light fixtures plus towel racks, but those have to wait till next payday. This month's extra is almost used up and I still have school supplies to buy. Getting paid just once a month is a pain! At least I don't have to buy clothes! My kids wardrobes are about full and I'm just saying no! :p

Sean's surgery date is set

Hi Gang,
We found out today that Sean's MRI will be next Monday, and the surgery for the fluid on his brain will be next Tuesday. That poor little guy has been thru so much. We hope that this will be the last of the surgeries for him for awhile.
He came thru therapy just fine this morning.
I'll bring him with me to the coffeehouse tomorrow. He wants to see his cyber aunts.
It's time for bed for Sean, and Papa.

Well...g'nite you two!
Got my runnin around finished finally. Took Agee to the clinic & have to go back tomorrow cause they were out of one medicine.
BH got herself in a bad mess today, she had gotton one of her back feet tangled in a string on a shirt...really tight. Her poor little toes were all red on the pads, don't know how long she was like that for I got home. She's just draggin it & won't even try to use it. Makes me feel just rotten cause I put the shirts in there for her some extra padding. I'll have to keep a close eye on her the next few days, don't know what, if any other problems it could cause.

I'll venture to speak for the other Cyber Aunts and say we'll all be praying for Sean and the Doctors. And Papa and the rest of the family.
And tell him to be prepared for a few hugs tomorrow! ((((Sean))))
