Good morning all,

It is cool here again this morning and we are expecting rain later today and for the next four days.

Sunday morning is busy around here with so many people and I'm going to hit the shower before anyone else gets up so I don't have to hurry!

Grandpa is taking us to our favorite buffet for Sunday dinner, after church. We haven't been there for a long time and it is usually a case of <gasp> premeditated gluttony (not really - husband is as thin as a broom handle and I have lost 20#).

Have a blessed day all!

We have a big screen, but we also have hymnals in the pews, so everyone is happy! :saint:

Sheila: Are you back home from your trip and if so, how was it?

Hi Sue
Yes we are home now. We had a wonderful time. We were in North Carolina, Virginia, and Missouri. We actually were blessed with meeting up with some online friends in MO. We met up at Lamberts Cafe, Ozarks and some other online friends drove up from Arkansas to meet with us too.
Hoping to go back next year, God willing. :wavey:

We flew into Raleigh/Durham airport and our friends live a little way out of Durham in the countryside.
Not too far from Bahama I think.

Morning all! I'm on the computer this morning because a poor woman on another board is struggling with yet another board and them arguing whether Jesus is God or not. She sent me the thread in Word (I can't get on the board without registering and then the forum is a limited forum so I know I couldn't get on there anyway) and it looks like humanism and such is alive and well there. Poor girl is feeling battle weary and the board that we're both on is very much a Christian board and she's come in for some feeding, rest and recovery. She wanted me to see what is going on and if there's anything I can add. Honestly, when someone denies that Jesus is God, and that the Bible is not inerrant, then we have issues that can't be resolved.

So, today I have church (will run the computer for that dreaded screen :tongue3: ) and then we'll come home, have some lunch then I'm off to the barn to ride and do stalls and such. My friend who owns the 2 horses we ride have a party out of town so she asked me to help her out and it's always my pleasure. You know, I hate to clean bathrooms and make beds but I love cleaning stalls - weird, huh? LOL!!

Then tonight will be an easy night - I'm thinking of making homemade pizza for dinner since DH is out hiking upstate with the college group and I know he won't be home until later because there's a restaurant that they pass that he LOVES (Fudruckers) and I know he'll stop there. Then it's getting ready for tomorrow.

Yesterday was such a lovely day here and we had a wonderful wedding for 2 dear friends. He's in his very early 50's and was married and divorced when he was very young (before he was saved) and she's never been married and in her late 30's. They've known each other for years but just started dating around the holidays last year and were finally married yesterday. It was so sweet because they both waited on the Lord even when they both really would love to have found someone earlier and they are so happy together. Their first kiss was on the altar after their vows - and I thought that was so special - especially considering that they're older and both are not 'innocent' (since he was divorced and she came to the Lord at 30, and had relationships before that), yet they wanted to hold out on ALL of that until their wedding. I'm just so happy for them and it was a beautiful wedding to watch and know that God will bless them greatly. :love2:

ETA: I think it's time to turn on the heat - it's 60 in the bedrooms and 62 in the kitchen after cooking breakfast. Brrrr!!

LOL Annsni! Cleaning bathrooms and making beds is exactly what's on my list for today. I need to scoop the---you know, too, but that will probably wait until tomorrow. The gunea pigs need cleaning too. Hey! Did you have to remind me of all I need to get done?

I did Children's Church this morning with the preacher's wife and we did pretty good considering we didn't know each other from Adam. She seemed to really enjoy it, so I'm hoping she'll become my permanent partner.

This afternoon plan is to get everything I can done before choir practice at 4:30. Gotta work today cause I know tomorrow will be spent taking Jenna back to the dentist. She has a second abscess in her mouth. She claims this one has been there for a while. How the dentist missed it on Thursday is beyond me, but I guess they didn't check her entire mouth.

Ya'll have a good day!

So did ya ketch one of them throwed rolls at Lambert's as it came whizzing past? LOL I've never made it in there. The lines have been too long.
Not quite the same as Betty's Tea Room in Harrogate! Actually the lines there were very long, too.

Hope everyone's doing ok!
I'm trying to decide what to make for dinner. Hrm.

It finally rained here! (after I watered everything, of course) I wondered why I had such a bad headache, but I'm very glad it didn't turn into a migraine. It sure felt like it was gonna!

I gotta run, but wanted to say howdy. Feels like it's been forever! :flower:

Hi annsni:wavey:

I can sympathize with you and your friend. One of the Christian boards I post on just came out of a horrible situation a couple of months ago with a member who inflamed the other posters with a barrage of threads denying the Diety of Christ, and denying the Trinity(He is a unitarian minister in training). this continued for weeks. Ultimately it caused him and a follower of his to be banned, but not before several long time posters left the board. That was a draining time for all of us. whew!

The Bible is the divinely-inspired, inerrent, authoritative word of God. I'm constantly amazed at the fact that even many that claim to be Christians deny this. We are truly living in the end times. Prophecy is unfolding before our very eyes!

Ok, I didn't mean to preach. I'm off my soap box.:godisgood:

LOL - Preach on! I'm so with you on this. Today at church, we are at the very beginning of a new series of messages - this one a book study of Romans and we went over the inital teaching of truth - can we know truth and what IS truth? It was very good - and something that these people need to hear. These people make up what they want from Scripture - picking verses out of context or taking one verse that says something and not interpreting it through Scripture. It's just sad. I'm reading the thread now and it's SO deep into these people and they have SUCH arguments that they will not hear the truth. I'm going to work on some stuff to give to this lady to help her out - even if it's just for herself.

Off to make a cup of tea - this is going to take a while!

Evening all,

Today was a GREAT day! Very good Sunday School lesson and even better sermon!

Grandpa took us out to eat and then I came home and took a nap before going back to church tonight for another great sermon and pizza in the ministry center after church.

I came home to find that I had sold several items from my eBay store so I have to get them packaged tonight.

I am subbing as a crossing guard tomorrow and I want to take them with me and mail them before I come back home tomorrow morning.

I will then homeschool Brent, make lunch, go back to the corner when the kids get out of school, make supper, drop Brent off at his Boy Scout meeting, go to revival, pick Brent up and come home and fall in bed!!!

Pleasant dreams all!

Good Morning Everybody,

It has been said that confession is good for the soul, so...... Yes, I was a week early with Sweetest Day. It is this saturday, not last saturday. What can I say?, I think of my Wife and I lose all track of time.

I'm a combination of Rain Man and Forrest Gump... You can call me
Rain Forest.

We had a great time re-creating our honeymoon over the weekend, 20 years sure makes a difference though.

To make up for my lapse of memory, I did remember to bring in breakfast this morning. I brought in blueberry pancakes, hashbrowns, blueberry syrup, bacon and sausage. Enjoy.

Time to get started on my chores.

Hello, one and all. Another lovely, sunny day to-day, but still on the coolish side, but it is autumn, isn't it?

Must get my truck's silencer repaired to-day. It fell off on Friday and I have been driving to and fro with a profound caution to all who get in my way.

Cheers,

Jim

If those speakers work Preacher, You got yourself some sweet sound.

I know how you feel Jim, I just replaced mine. Amazing isn't it?, they can make a watch battery that lasts for 5 years, but they can't apply the same level of technology to mufflers.:BangHead:

Make sure you protect your nose from the bad weather Sue, keep it protected, but wear that scar with pride Sister, you're a survivor...and don't let anybody forget it either.:applause: BTW, since you have to get such an early start in the morning - I brought in a fruit plate, a smoothie, and a hot muffin [if you put it in the microwave first] for you.The fruit plate's in the refrigerator with the smoothie, and the muffin is by the bread.[the security squirrel said she'd keep an eye on it.] Enjoy.

Today is a day home! Yeah!! I don't have to leave the house at all!! I LOVE days like this (now watch, the girls will stay for after school help......). So, today is homeschooling and I've got to get one more bathroom cleaned, do laundry and clean up the mess that is my laundry room. I'd also like to start attacking my bedroom since it's such a disaster and the den needs some help too.

I'm off to the races! LOL!!
