    Good Afternoon Everybody,

Ohhhhhhhhh, what hit me?! You had to do it didn't you, Cuz. You had to use the "M" word. I've been fighting a real beaut since Saturday night. I'm finally able to sit upright in the sunshine without wanting to hurl or have my head explode into fragments.

Too late for your breakfast so how about a late lunch or early dinner? Honey Spice-Rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Roasted Red Potatoes with Bacon and Cheese, Bacon Tomato and Cheese Crescents, Creamy Baked Asparagus and Double-Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. After cleaning the pool and house you need something that'll stick to your bones.

Needless to say not much going on here today. I had the fixins' for the above dinner ready supposedly for Sunday dinner, but that didn't happen. Nobody starved though they survived on leftovers while I was trying to keep down French Onion Soup and Warm Crusty Bread. So tonight most of the work is already done I just have to throw everything together. YAY!!!

I'd hold up your heart if I could Sue, I see you're holding up your head. You're still in my prayers and thoughts Sis.

Time to get back to getting dinner ready. If I sit down every once-in-awhile I can do this. Have to - the Gkids really aren't fond of even my leftovers. Bunch of spoiled brats - WAITAMINNUT! I made 'em that way. Never mind.

MK.....I'm glad you're still around, as well as others like Friend of God, etc.

Sue....I'm hoping you're feeling a bit better about Brent. Remember, no matter where he goes, he's in God's hands. You've done a great job in teaching him the ways of the Lord, I'm sure, and you know that this teaching will never come back void.

Everyone else that I haven't gotten to....I hope you're doing well.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Good morning all,

I am feeling much better, but I still have that hacking cough....not as bad though.

Dale has one lung that is half full of fluid, so he is on antibiotics and coughing too. I will probably catch what he has and be down again!:BangHead:

I won't be online until Sunday. Leaving tonight for Missouri.
Bobby's graduation from 'boot camp' is tomorrow (Friday) and Shawna's wedding is Saturday. We'll be home late Saturday night.

Bobby's wife is due any day now to present my new Great Granddaughter to the world. Chailee is 1½ centimeters dialated but she is bound and determined that she is going to see her husband graduate. She is leaving early today so she can attend the Banquet with him. She hasn't seen him since he left. We may have a "Missouri Baby". The Dr. said she could go if her parents drove her so we shall see what happens.

Play nice while I'm gone. I'll "see" you Sunday.

    Please pray for traveling mercies.

play nice? play nice?!! awww Sue, that takes all the fun out of it! but...since you asked i will give it my best shot.

for me, dilation before labor doesn't mean anything....really wish it did.
i understand wanting to see your hubby if you haven't seen him in a while. my hubby doesn't go out of town often and was out of town for the last few weeks of my pregnancy with Leah. i drove (7 hours round trip) to see him when i was 36.5 weeks pregnant. yep, it was worth it.

praying you all have a good trip and visit.

coffee is on and all of my kids are up now....someone else will have to get breakfast. i think they all got up on the wrong side of the bed.

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

If my Son's Fiance` doesn't have the baby by Tuesday then Labor is going to be induced. He's a baby Boy currently about 10lbs and healthy. This will be Grandkid # 6 and Grandson # 5.

"Play nice" HMMMPHHH!! We always play nice in the Coffeehouse. No arguments, no brawls, no "coffeehouse splits."

Too late for breakfast, how about lunch? Pulled Chicken Sandwiches, Deviled Eggs 'n Ham, Crunchy Asian Broccoli Coleslaw, and Chocolate Mint Grasshopper Pie. Enjoy.

That sure is one cute avatar you have Tanya.

Brother Tony how you feeling my Friend?, and how's the world treating you?

I think it's time to drop some more chocolate cake crumbs so my Cuz and Ann can find their way back to the Coffeehouse. Wouldn't want them to get lost and end up over in the debate threads. Knowing them though, they'd be able to inflict some serious damage if crossed.

Got the garden disked last night, now have to fertilize it and then disk it again.

Rob - Thanks for the crumbs! They're going to give me some more energy as I wade through the mess of college financial aid stuff. Today's the deadline - but not the end of the check writing - it's just the beginning!! If you guys can change those crumbs to dollars, they'd be much appreciated. :BangHead: $10,487 is what we need to pay for Lauren for this year. This is after scholarships, grants, student loans and such. Good heavens, I think we're bound to eat beans for the rest of our lives!

NO! NO! NO! My Cuz is a-thin. I'm
a-round! Just want to clear up a misconception
[*groan * - sorry that wasn't meant as a pun.]

    Good Morning Everybody,

Went to a local "Story Fest" with my "middle grandson" yesterday. We had over 5,000 kids from the schools in our county. It was story-tellers telling tales at over a dozen different locations. This is the 21st year we've had this and the kids always look forward to it. [Papa had fun too.]

Taking my Brother and his wife out for his birthday tonight. My "little brother" turns 54 this year.

Let's "do" lunch - Slow-Cooker BBQ Short-Ribs, Cheddar Biscuits, Crunchy Asian Broccoli Cole Slaw, and Tropical Dream Cake for dessert. Enjoy.

Just had a couple JW's at the door. I was polite, I told them I wasn't interested but I'd pray to Jesus for them. They left real quick.

I know you will all be happy to learn that I am back. :):):)

Lovely Baptist wedding. Great singing by the Bob Presswood family. Beautiful bride. I am so happy and thankful I was able to be there. I haven't seen Shawna this happy and serving the Lord in several years. Many prayers have been answered. Brent is now living with his mother and new stepfather and he is happy also (as he should be).

Bob Jr.'s graduation from boot camp was awesome. There were over 200 graduating and Bob Jr. and another young soldier were chosen to open the ceremony by singing the National Anthem...quite an honor!

The trip did me good, and I guess I was worn out from being sick and getting no rest because of coughing, but I slept 12 hours straight at the motel Friday night!

Had a wonderful time, but I'm glad to be home!

Will post a picture of the bride and groom as soon as I figure out how to get it from my cell phone to the Internet...

    Good morning all,

Well, I think I'm rested up! I need to start getting the house in order from the weeks I couldn't do anything. I also need to dismantle Brent's bedroom. I kept putting it off, but now that I have seen how happy he is, I can do it.

Pastor Bob and family will be here Thursday for my Pastor's daughter's wedding. They are singing. They will be here until the following Monday and he is going to do some caulking for me and put a replacement window in my bedroom. We ran out of money before we got to that room last summer.

Dale is going back to the Dr. today. He has been on antibiotics because one of his lungs was half full of fluid, and his ribs hurt more now than they did in the beginning.

    HAGD all!

    Good Morning Everyone!

This busy bee is about worn out but there is still work to be done.

Last week, doggone, I don't even want to remember last week!

Friday I worked outside all day. Chris mowed the grass and spread fertilizer and insect killer while I worked on the pool. I think I finally have the chemicals right, all the leaves out and the water circulating correctly. I still think there may be a leak(in the same place as we had last fall), but it's been so rainy and the way the yard is sloped away from the house I haven't really been able to tell. If it is leaking, it is very slow. I'm hoping the repairs we made last year will hold. A liner change just isn't in the budget!

Saturday, I was supposed to take Jenna up to Huntsville to a softball tourniment, but we got stormed out. So instead T and I decided to make various repairs on my and Cass' cars. Her repairs went quite well (a new inside door handle and new speakers). Mine didn't go so well.

While we were on the trip last weekend, I rolled my power window up and something crunch, pop, crunch! We spent a good part of the weekend stopping and pushing the glass up into place after it would slide down without my pushing the button. Then we got smart and bought some duct tape. :D T ordered parts(the clips that hold the glass had broken) for it so we pulled off the panel and got the first clip replaced only to discover that the second clip was the same as the first clip when it was supposed to be a mirror image. Someone had packaged it wrong.

Of course we couldn't fully put it back together again until we had the right part, so knowing Cass car is back together we make the decision for me to drive it the coming week and we'll park mine till we can find the right part. That means moving my car into her parking spot and vice versa. I get in my car and it's dead. Makes a staticy sort of noise and that's it. T took the battery in to have it tested and it was sooooo dead that the reader read zero. (making it a wonder we didn't get caught out and it go dead on us)

Yesterday, Jenna finally got to play baseball. They lost all three games but at least this time they got on the scoreboard! Yay!

This week is more yard work, spring cleaning and a field trip.

    Ya'll have a good trip!

Morning everyone! It's a late start for me today and I have a LOT to do after a busy weekend. It's a beautiful day and I'm going to get homeschooling done, laundry and clean up the kitchen. Later after the girls get home from school, I'll go ahead and ride Whirl.

I'm so excited! My brother, SIL and nephew are coming into town tomorrow night! It will be SO good to see them again. :)

Good morning! I pray that everyone had a blessed weekend! I cleaned all weekend and went grocery shopping and worked on my new budget and just was a busy little bee! Tonight I am going to go home and work on my patio. The neighbor kids think my patio is a place where they can throw trash, etc and so I am going to have them help me pick it all up. Other than that its a beautiful day so I will go for now...Have a blessed day!!

    Good morning Everybody,

    Just a fast post...
    We're Grandparents again!!!!

Kayden Patrick made a loud entrance at 1:05am this morning. He was 9lbs 6ozs and 21 inches long with thick dark hair.

Dad and Mommy are doing fine, but Papa and Nana [Rob & Brenda] are pooped. We're gettin' to be too old for this stuff.

Going back up to the hospital right now. Will try to post more later.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Gayla, I'll be praying for you this morning.

Tanya, don't call yet(T's still home). I'm thinking church will be out of the question today.

I woke up at 2 this morning to discover Jenna had a fever of 101.5. She's gone on to school anyway, cause her class is serving muffins to us mom's today and she was adamant she didn't want to miss it. We're probably exposing the whole class to whatever it is, but since that has to be where she caught it, I'm not feeling to guilty!

When I get there at 9 the advil I gave her at 2 should be about worn off and we'll see if the fever starts again. She doesn't have any other symptoms so this is probably just another one of her weird fevers that she gets every now and again. Then again, the last weird fever she had ended up being the flu, but flu season is over. RIGHT????

I'll spend today going to school to be with her at 9 and then I'll have to see what else I feel like doing. I've gobs and gobs of stuff to accomplish but it has gotten to the point to where there is so much I don't know where to start. I'll probably start at my feet and work in a circle outward and what gets done, gets done and what doesn't, doesn't.

Yes, I'm gripey and I have a bad attitude!

    Ya'll have a good day!

    Congratulations Cuz!!!!!!

Gayla - I'll be praying that this chemo does the trick.

Rob - CONGRATULATIONS!! What a big boy!

MK - I'm sorry about Jenna's fever. I've heard that flu is still around - it's running late this year. But then again, there are a ton of viruses around too. Hmmm.....

Today is "clean up the mess day". My family is coming over tomorrow night for dinner and since it's the day I work and have homeschool group, I'm not even home so I need to clean today. Not to mention that the place is a disaster anyway..... So I'll be busy running around putting away "stuff". :D

I picked up a special thing that we have around here called "Pizza Crumb" and left it on the counter. It's a crumb cake in the shape of a pizza with a very thin cake part. It's got an almond flavor and is VERY sweet so I cut small pieces for everyone. It's GREAT with the coffee that MK made so enjoy!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

    * YAWN * Finally got back home. Talk about a short night, we got home around 2:30am and shortly after 7:30 we got a call wondering if we were coming up to see the baby.

Mommy got a rose in a vase and whatever she wanted for lunch [a "Papa Tradition" - she chose KFC and our Son wanted Taco Bell],we all got to hold Kayden and pictures were taken. The birth was by C-Section so Mommy was still sore and real tired so we said our goodbyes and got out of there so she could rest. Hopefully everybody will be home by Sunday and I promised to fix their first dinner for them as a family. One less thing for them to worry about, no idea what she'll want yet, but she'll let me know.

My Brother had Parathyroid surgery in Tampa, Florida this morning. Got a call a few minutes ago from my Sister-in-Law and she said he was in recovery and everything went well. The problem was what and where they expected and a full recovery is on the way. The surgery was done as an outpatient, and my Brother will be back in their hotel by tonight and on the way back home to Michigan tomorrow. The miracles of modern medicine [and managed care.]

Tonight is going to be leftovers, and probably an early night for Nana and Papa.

An orangutan in the zoo has two books - The Bible and Darwin's Orgin of Species. He's trying to figure out if he's his brother's keeper or his keeper's brother. :tongue3:

Well, didn't I underestimate! I have TWO kids with fevers and one with a migraine. So far Chris hold today's record for the highest fever at 103 flat. Jenna is running a close second with 102.5. Good thing I have stock in Advil and Tylenol.

I really don't think we have the flu. They have fevers but Jenna, at least, is not showing any other real symptoms. Chris has a sore throat with his but at least half of his problem is migraine junk from the storm system that just passed through. I'm not running them to the doc for the usual diagnosis of "viral infection" today. I'll wait and see how they do tonight and decide tomorrow if they need it. I'd wait a little longer but then I'd have to take them to Afterhours (bleck)

Oh and Jenna has pink eye on top of the fever. In both eyes! At least we've done this before and I already have the drops on hand.

Yep, you can tell by my whiny voice that it's been a while since I've done a housefull of sick kids. I have to admit though, long about 2 o'clock, when they were all asleep, I took a little nap myself. It felt sooooo good! :D

Cuz, why'd your brother have to go all the way to Tampa to have thyroid surgery?

Okay, I've had my all time favorite wrong number call. While I was typing the phone rang. Caller ID showed a person I didn't know, but since one of the local shops gives out my number for alterations I answered. "Do ya'll serve milk shakes?" I hear without any preamble.

Huh? At first I'm thinking okay, what sort of joke is this? The lady on the line though doesn't seem particularly young and sounds serious, so I say "Excuse me?" and she repeats herself.

We in this town have a phone prefix of 384- and another that is 387-. I'm 384-, I wonder what restaurant is 387-? LOL!
