Jan and I have caller ID on our phone plan - the call this evening said it was our son Kelly - so I answered the phone "Hi Kelly."

Only it was our 5 YO granddaughter, Abigail. And she was crying - she missed her Nana and Pop Pop - it made both of us want to cry.

Apparently she was either ready for bed - or had gone to bed - and she was sad because she hadn't seen us since the day after Christmas.

After a few minutes she was laughing again. She told us her cousin, Libby, had accidentally had "urinated" in her (Abigail's) bed - and they had to wash her bed linens. I asked Abigail if they put Libby in the washer too - and Abigail started laughing and was back to her jovial (however very skinny) self.

Friends - this is what life is all about - your grandchildren not being able to go to sleep - because they miss Nana and Pop Pop!

I love it.

Dan - it's certainly great to be missed!

Actually CJ - finding shoes that fit is a problem. This fat man has long skinny feet. One is 13 1/2 A and the other is 14 AA - feet that narrow on a man is unusual - especially when that man weighs about 270!

Dan - the man with the long - skinny - ugly feet - who says little - lots of times!

LOL Dan! I wear size 5 to 5 1/2. It's very hard to find shoes for small feet too. Try finding adult looking clothes (at stores I can afford) in size 6 - 8! They laugh at Wal-Mart and tell me I need to be there the night they put them up if I want small sizes.

Hi, CJ. It was colder here than in Texas today.

We woke up to 10 degrees with a wind chill of -2.

I got to wear my coat for the first time this year.

Actually, this was the coldest day we have had in 7 years and you guessed it, I had to get out to see the eye doctor.
