COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #58

That sounds neat Gayla. I like Arts and Craft shows too but Jim and Nick don't so....

Sheila.... I've not even heard of those purses so no help from me but I'm sure they can be found in Atlanta. If Jim has off one day, either he could take you or you could use his car. I don't drive in Atlanta (or near to Atlanta) and don't get to go far with 6 kids... not counting the neighbors kids.

Does Gayla like to shop?

I found them online under Louis Vuitton. They cost well over $100.! I'm seeing a lot of sites for replica bags tho. YIKES.. Hermes purses cost $12,000.00! My Saturn Vue only cost $17,000 brand new.

I'm going to a Gem and Jewelry show here in town. May buy, may sell or I may be dodging a hurricane. We are preparing to relocate our offices several miles inland and get away from the coast. We may go hang out at the church if the winds get too high.

Diane-The most I've ever paid for a wallet is about $35. I've bought Cheryl purses, but would rather her buy her own.

I'm really CHEAP Gib but Jim bought me a purse about 32 years ago that got accidentally ruined. It had been hand made out of leather and stamped with colored designs and was just gorgeous. It somehow got wet during a move and by time we found it, mold, mildew, stains, streaks... I was sick!

Hope you guys don't get much but it looks like you'll have some real flooding and winds! We've got a basement and it's got a sleep sofa, t.v., lantern, etc. in case of a tornado, etc. so I don't get very concerned. We're also pretty high up.

Evening folks: It's nice to see this place 'hopping' again!

I am going to bed. Brent and I watched home movies tonight, that I had taken, from the time he was six-weeks old. He hadn't seen them since he was old enough to remember.

That was back in the 'good old' days when all the kids and grandkids still lived in Lincoln and would gather at my house every Sunday...

Pleasant dreams all!

I guess no one has noticed the disappearance of Blackbird from the "Board happenin's" here of late????

Lightning storm came through cooked my modem like a Goose!! Well, I bought a new modem---installed it and then found out that the lightning made its journey through the Mother Board and fried a few more things. Blackbird thought it would be weeks before he was back on line---but he has been known to be wrong on a few occasions(but only a few)---anyway, I'm back---loaded for Bear---so look out!!

Good Morning everyone.

I hope you are all ok. Our taxi is due any moment now. What I haven't got I will either have to do without or buy over there. :D

I am still not too keen on the idea of flying over all that water, so would appreciate your prayers.

God Bless

Sheila

Boy Howdy from Alaska. Been enjoying a lovely time with the Bride and cruising is a great vacation. Will share some experiences on Monday when we fly back to Casper.

Been warm and sunny until today, then a storm hit as we were at the Juneau ice fields. 2.4 inches of cold rain since noon. So I am holed up and about to head to dinner, finally dried.

God bless all.

P.S. Sue, I took my usual - two Dr Peppers. Are you back in the thick of things from now on and watching over the corners?

Good Morning!

Blackbird: Of course we missed you! If you look on page 14 of the Coffee House, you will see that I told everyone what happened to your puter!

Dr. B.: Good to see you posting. Will be glad to have you back Monday!

Barnabas: Yes, I am back in the 'thick' of things. I go to the corner twice a day and I deliver a paper route in the afternoon. I have 90 customers right now, but am trying to get an additional route with 50 people.

I will then be delivering 140 papers each day. I am getting good though. I can 'roll and band' 50 papers every 10 minutes! :D

I have some good news and bad news about Labor Day.

Good news - NO COURIER

Bad news - THE JOURNAL has to be delivered by 6:00 a.m. that day!

I'm wondering what I did with all my 'spare' time before the paper route, corner, and having two boys living here!

Morning all! I thought I'd be able to sleep in today but when Ty's mom came to pick him up, it seems I misunderstood their vacation! She had switched days so worked today in exchange for Monday so Ty arrived at 5:30. He went back to sleep around 6:15 until almost 9 which was good because Jim got in just as I was going to bed last night and I slept only minutes at a time all night! I even had taken NyQuil for my cold and congestion. That usually knocks me out but maybe I made it through the sleepy time talking with Jim and then was wide awake!

Ty's eating his breakfast and I'm having a cup of tea. We're watching every Thomas the Tank Engine movie we own. We've moved now to Thomas and The Magic Railroad. We watch it 4 or more times a day and it's a full length movie. THEN we have to act it out. We've got Lady and Diesel 10, Thomas and all the others, LOL!

Jim's going in from noon til 8 today so he has to leave soon. It takes an hour each way for him to go to work! They've got a BIG sale through Tuesday so he'll be working every day including Sunday from noon til 5. He'll be able to go to Sunday School at least....

TTYL,
Diane

Dr. Bob Enjoy the rest of your vacation, I'm anxious to hear about your travels on monday

Blackbird Sue told us what happened. I had a smiliar experince although not as rough. I'm glad to see your back. WE ALL Miss you!

Barnabas 2 Dr. Peppers  That is a boat load of sugar, i'm sure your ROARING to go

Diane Sleeping propped up on a few pillows might help with that congestion. The Doctor for the kdis told me that when they had bad Colds. And I love Thomas the Tank Engine. And

WTG Jim!

As for here, I have one at home from school today. She's having some mommie seperation issues that we're working though. This dosen't happen often but, when it does, i've noticed letting her stay home is easier on everyone involved :-/.

Not sure what's for dinner, I need to figure out what to do with 2lbs of Hamburger. Going to go RE-boot my laundry. See you all later

'Mornin' y'all! I am reading my norning news and keeping an eye on that hurricane. The girls are eating their oatmeal and watching Stanley. I am about to get my nice icy cold breakfast shake. Then afterwhile, we are gonna load up and head to Alabama for the night to see my mother and grandmother. Its my grandmother's 84th b/day and my brother's family and we are taking them out to eat. She said not to bring gifts, but the girls just HAD to get her a baby doll, since she doesnt have one. I think she'll love it. We also made her a cookie cake a decorated it real purty.

HI Lea, I always worry because I tend to get ear infections so I do my best to keep the stuffiness down as much as I can. That's a good idea about propping myself up some. I've done it with the little ones but didn't think of me. I've had 2 very bad ear infections as an adult and a lot of minor ones. I don't ever want to be that sick again!

I've got laundry going too. Just a smaller load of whites. The kids had spilled juice on my cream tablecloth and Jim had a small blood stain on the collar of his new white shirt.

Hey, I got paint off my table in the kitchen just spraying OxyClean on the wood and letting it sit for a minute.

I'm feeling even a little better today. No weakness and just a tiny bit of dizziness if I turn my head too quickly. I sure need some energy for cleaning! These kids have trashed my house. I've never had a dirty house and saw dust on top of a curtain the other day! My ceiling fans need to be dusted every few days. That's what comes from keeping windows open all the time and having 8 or 9 people in the house most of the time.

Sure hope we don't drive Sheila and Rob away when they visit. I've been talking to the kids about being more calm during that time. I don't like yelling and running and I'm sure it wouldn't be relaxing to Rob and Sheila either!

Chili sounds good to me Lea. That's more than enough

Wendy, I have a very demanding job. So, something has to pick me up.... and sugar doesn't seem to bother me. Besides, having two doctors in the house is kind of safe.... don't you think?

Stopped by and poured myself a cup. BTW, where's the Splanda? Also, I noticed all the plywood on the windows. Expecting some wind?

Seriously, my heart goes out to my brothers and sisters in Christ that are in the path of the storm!

Lifting you up in prayer! Holler if there are specific needs.

Say there, Wendy, ever try Meatloaf balls? You make up the hamburger just like you would do for your favorite version of meatloaf, except you form it into balls about the size of a medium scoop of ice cream, and put them in muffin tins to bake. Just as good as meatloaf, but takes half the time in the oven! Open up a can of gravy, some instant mashed potatoes, and a can of green beans, and dinner's ready!
