No snow falling to-day, but we have plenty on the ground, so we will manage.

Cheers, and happy Christmas to all,

    Jim

Roger, I guess the bet makers are off this year then. They said snow in Edinburgh, Scotland only this year. No snow in London,Manchester or Gloucester.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Or Dublin - odds were 80-1 on Monday, down to 2:1 yesterday and 50-50 odds last night.

    Good Morning ALL! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Are your presents all opened, is your turkey in the oven? [IMG]

The kids woke me up at 2:00 this morning sneaking down the stairs to see if Santa had come. I didn't sleep well after that. I'll just have to have a Christmas afternoon nap. [IMG]

At least they didn't make us get out of bed to open the booty until 6:30! Much better than last year when they had us up at 4:30.

I loved your poem Dr. Bob. This year I managed to not need batteries AT ALL! No assembly either....just some lifting to bring in Bitsy's much needed new furniture.

Everyone have a blessed day as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour.

Thanks Granny! I was beginning to wonder if my posts were invisible.

We have eaten breakfast and opened our presents.

We all got a lot of the things we needed, but would not buy for ourselves...

We are watching Jesus Of Nazareth on TV right now and Brent is playing with one of his new games.

Later we will all gather around the table and play "Sorry" or "Life" or "Phase 10" or ALL OF THEM. [IMG]

Oh my STUFFED with turkey, ham, etc!!

It was a blessing to have a Christian from Poland who is in Ireland by himself with us for the day.

This was the first time since 1952 that this part of Ireland has had a white Christmas.

    To all of you!

Nick woke at 4:20 and discovered the PS2 Games Santa had brought plus the Dirt Bike and Foos Ball Table. I raised up in bed only long enough to tell him he could NOT open any gifts. Our rule is 7:00 unless I wake up on my own earlier. Santa was assembling that foos ball table til 2:00 a.m. YAWN... and he was noisy and needed help. :D Nick played one of his new games until 8:00 and then came to get us. He's thrilled. He got everything on his list except for one item, a metal detector. We're hoping it warms enough for him to ride his dirt bike today.

We had a late breakfast so we're going to have our Christmas dinner later than usual. We have always eaten at 2:00 but not today.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful day.

    Diane and family

    Lunch was good
    But now were through
    My house is looking
    like a zoo

    Wrapping paper
    Litters the floor
    I'll be looking
    for the door

    Too many people
    are crowding my space
    Leave me alone
or I'll be in your face

    Merry Christmas to all
and now be on your way
    Back to your homes
    and there to stay

Jim made us a big breakfast this morning so we're having our Christmas Dinner as dinner for a change. That's the nice thing about not having lots of family over, you can change plans anytime you'd like and wing it. [IMG]

My mother never called so I called her and she decided not to come. She says she may come in a week or so when she's heading to Mobile. Haven't heard from Jon again. He was finishing up his car. He might wait and come late and then go to church with us tomorrow. He has to be at work early on Monday.

Was Santa good to all of you? I got a glass ball nativity that plays music and snows automatically if it's touched. It has Mary, Joseph and Jesus in the glass ball and the wise men, sheep, etc. around the outside. It's pretty large. I also got a DVD of one of the Gaither Gatherings. I got a neat book that goes along with 'The Velveteen Rabbit' which is my favorite childs book. I got a kitty cat broach and a St. Patrick's Day (fake) nutcracker. He is drunk I think. I haven't put batteries in him. I got many nice things from my S/S children. Candy dishes, cookie jars, books, candles, hot chocolate sets, and lots more.

    Diane
