An Apology.

One page 6 I posted that Rob's Christmas present had been stolen in the post. We now discover that this is not the case and I do apologise for misleading you. We ourselves were mislead in the fact that the box arrived with a hole in it. The box was "empty". On further investigation we now find that the box which measured 18" x 15" x 6" had a false bottom, under which was Rob's pressie which measures 53/4" x 41/2" x 5/8". !!! On contacting the company we were told that they have gone over to an automated packaging system and we are not the first by any means to have had this problem. When the replacement arrives we will refuse delivery and it will be returned to the company.

Again my apologies if I mislead anyone. Rob says that 120 of his present would fit in that box.

God Bless

Sheila

My General Manager ordered a portable DVD,
the case and a few DVD's. They mailed the
case and 1 DVD. He called him and they said
they ran out. He asked why mail it at all,
and that an empty case serves no purpose.

They told him if he didn't like it, he
could mail them back, plus pay shipping
and handling. He was not a happy camper.

Good Morning all! Since I have no children today, Nick and I are going to Jim's work party. We have to leave in a few minutes and will be gone all day. Hope everyone is warm and feeling much better.

Have a wonderful day!

Wonderful morning to all.

What are your Christmas Eve plans?

Taking the family (inlaws included) to a 6:00 service at my daughter & son's church.

I too enjoy spending the time with the family.

have a blessed Christmas everyone.

Short Christmas Eve service. A few hymns and scripture read. Come home and enjoy the lights
the candles and probably go to bed early.

Number 2 daughter and girls will be here along with an adopted 'Grandpa' from Wisconsin.

I will be making another relish tray, meat and cheese tray, cracker and cheeseball tray, chip and dip tray, and 'goodie' tray. We will be eating and opening presents in the afternoon because we have to get up early to do papers Christmas morning. :(

We will have a quiet Christmas eve at home. We only have one daughter at home now. Our older daughter will come over on Christmas.

We have 12+inches of snow , had a half-day at work yesterday, called off today, and am planning to hunker down here for the next 3-4 days.

Raining and miserable here in Philly. But I guess that beats being snowed in under 3 feet of the stuff.

Four to six inches would be nice tomorrow night, though.

I drove wife to village, where she works at the bank, and on my little country road we had a four-car queue because one bloke decided to do a spin-about on a hill. There should be no parking signs in middle of roadway.

Absolutely horrible day. Stay home and put feet up.

Cheers,

Jim

Well, just had a few minutes to get on the computer. Vivian is napping on the couch. Her first day off in three or four weeks. She slept late today. She's just really worn out!

We awoke this morning to snow covered ice, so we decided not to go anywhere today. We have some water on the stove keeping some moisture in the air, and Viv's sinus' are starting to be a bit more clear.

I just looked out the window, and it's snowing again. It was to have stopped by now, but I think we're getting the tail end this afternoon instead of this morning.

If I don't get to post again today or tomorrow...ya'll have a wonderful, Christ filled Christmas!
God bless.

Afternoon folks!

Okay, this was supposed to be a quiet day with NO extra children, just a couple of folks stopping off to deliver and pick up presents. So just how did it happen that I now have 3 extra kids in my house? All six may not survive the day and I'm not sure if its the extras that are causing the trouble or my own!

As my mother used to say, it's colder than wiz outside! The ice passed us up but not the cold. AVL, we are still getting snow flurries that we weren't supposed to get and the weather man is ignoring. My poor huskies even wanted in this morning, but only for a few minutes.

Santa's elves delivered Bitsy's big present a little while ago. It was the last thing that wasn't in the house. It is now hiding in the garage. I have to go clean her room out so it'll fit on Christmas day. I've told her that Santa thought it was time she gave up all the baby toys that she doesn't play with anymore. She didn't seem to care one way or the other so long as she's not the one cleaning them out.

Son saw the delivery truck and wanted to know when his present would arrive. I told him he has to wait till Christmas and if I hear one word out of him about Bitsy's present, his would never arrive. ;)

Anyhow, between the kids, the delivery, the exterminator and getting the house clean(again!), I've had a busy day.

Hope everyone else is having a good one!

WE HAVE A ZOO. Literally. And not everybody here yet, but more hectic, noise, colds, finger slammed in the door, color crayons strewn, peek-a-blocks laid as a minefield for my unfeeling feet . .

Ah, family. Can't live with them, can't live with them.

LOL...Dr. Bob, you love it, and you know it! I can always tell that you're beaming with pride over your kids and grandkids..just like a Pop and Grandpop should be doing!

Bob-you could sale tickets for admission and have a big popcorn machine kicking out the hot and buttery. Get the camera out, because I predict something will happen that could make a America's Funniest Home Video. Ours will be on through out the day.

We are back from the paper route and thawed out. Brent wore his new bibbed, snow pants over his jeans and sweatshirt and could hardly walk!

Front page of the paper tonight showed a house in our town that burned to the ground leaving a mother and five children homeless. The Salvation Army stepped in and gave them shelter, food, and clothing and the churches are taking cash donations for them.

That is tragic at any time of the year, but it seems so much sadder at Christmas...

We had such a wonderful time at the party. Lots of fun. They got every child a very nice gift, all age appropriate for that child. They had so much food too. Ribs, Chicken, salads, baked beans and lots more. There was about 80 adults plus lots and lots of kids. What a lovely company.

It is COLD here too! The wind chill is single digits. We just about FROZE! Jim still has to go to the grocery store for me and some presents arrived from our oldest son and his wife that I have to wrap but other than that, we're set.

Not sure if my mother is coming but Jon is coming. They don't get along so it would be better if she doesn't! LOL

Hey There,
It got up to 72 degrees here in SC and I took the kids to the park to play on the playground, without jackets. I went to the Dollar General store to get last minute stocking stuffers and it was so crowded, I am glad I didn't try Wal-Mart. We are just going to rest tonight and watch some Christmas programs on television and wonder if it's warm enough to go to the beach tomorrow. :)
