I stayed home all weekend with only my dratted cold for company. Will it never end?

Morning everyone!

I'll be mostly off the computer today while I try to get some things done that I've been neglecting. Like mopping.

I know if I stay around here and chat too much I won't get anything done and poor T is having a hard time walking through the house.

We're suppose to have Sue's thunderstorms develope around here as the day goes on. Right now, in spite of what the weather radar shows, it is sunny and beautiful. Just cool enough to require a sweater.

Ya'll have a good day, I'm going to find my working shoes!

 

Good Morning Margo, Sue and Cindi. I got back to sleep from about 6:30 until almost 8:30, thankfully.

We're due for those really strong storms too but so far we have blue skies with puffy white clouds and it's already 52° with a high near 70°. Tomorrow will be strong winds and a lot cooler.

I've got things to do today but I did a lot of things yesterday in between services so not TOO busy.

 

Morning all:

Great day at church yesterday! We had 63 in morning worship and the church continues to grow. It was our first Sunday in three weeks because of illness. The business meeting last evening voted us in as members (yahooo!) and we also voted to license another man in the church as a preacher! It is very evident that God has called him to the ministry in some form or fashion. We also voted on starting a church website to help reach this growing community, so I may need some of you who have webpages to give me some ideas or instruction. I can do some html, but haven't really made a habit of it of late.

Yesterday was very nice. Viv and I went out and walked our property line and saw that we had a LOT of work to do removing rocks, moving three boulders, and leveling the ground out. It is going to take several truckloads of dirt to do that. We also found some critter homes dug into the ground. So, I guess "Bugs Bunny" and "Sammy Slither" are going to have to find somewhere else to live!

It's cooler here this morning, and I can see dark clouds on the horizon moving in from the Northeast. The high today is supposed to reach 60. Tomorrows high is supposed to be 40, and we're supposed to get snow flurries and snow showers tonight. I'm hoping and praying the snow stays away.

Well, have to get moving. Have a domain name to register, and have to find a good company outside of Godaddy.com to register it with. Also have to find some hosting. Pray for me as I work on this project for the church, that it will be an informative site and God will use it for His glory.

Cute baby. There's something special about a father of girls, in my opinion!

Had a good day with the kids yesterday. One of the older ones told me he was promising to be nice to me from now on! And I actually got those boys to hold hands in a circle for prayer! Amazing!

Having a Sunday School staff meeting tonight. Things are getting a bit scary. With all our growth, we are sorely understaffed! We can't seem to agree on how to tackle it. I want to "divide and conquer" by splitting up the kids down to narrower age groups (currently have two - grades K-2 and 3-6). Other folks have other ideas. Please pray that we get this planning thing straightened out once and for all tonight. Thanks, all, in advance.

BTW, I still think we could use a teachers' thread or category around here.

 

Now, that would be an issue. I have a little problem with authority. I would feel the urge to come, shoot spitballs and cause general havoc.

 

I used to cause havoc in DVBS for not wanting to play the games.

 

Now then! Gib and Margo will have to sit in the corner for a while....

Hey, the games were stupid then and they're stupid now. I think we can use the time more wisely. Games are OK, but they ought to have some kind of link to the lesson, I think--without being cheesy, if possible.

And you don't have to tell my mother, cause she knew I didn't want to play games, LOL. I was a really shy kid. So I'm over here enjoying my time in the corner, LOL.

 

Except I'd rather you put Gib in a seperate corner . . . He's pulling my hair!
