Well I think I've about run out of estrogen and read that the body will use or create testosterone to help out so watch out! If I get a hairy chest, I'm gonna be MEAN! LOLOL

Our temp has dropped 2 degrees and major rain is moving in BUT he radar show a split in the system with I-20 clear. It looks like we may not get the rain. It's funny how the system splits over the highway and we're about 2 miles from the highway.

Hello all, I hope everyone is having a good day. Momma and baby came home yesterday afternoon and both are doing great. McKylie picked right up on nursing, and is just being her adorable self. Everyone is really excited to have her home, well eveyrone except our 3rd daughter McKenna...she is not too sure about all this and very jealous of anyone holding the baby.

Hey, when there were new babies in my family, I never wanted other people holdin' 'em!

Dad made a rule that the first Sunday only family got to hold the new baby. :D I liked that!

I know others that do things like that, my wife and I have never been like that. We love to share our daughters with our church family and friends. They are all welcome to hold her. In fact about 3 hours after she was born we had a group of about 8 church members show up for a visit in the hospital and anyone that wanted to was welcome to hold her, and we all had a good visit. It is great to be in a church with people who truly love us, we have been in other churches where that was not the case.

Sure, yes.

Share the babies around, just make sure the other kiddies don't get left out of the fun.

And I searched high and low for a church that was right for me here in SC, as crazy as that sounds--goodness, it's part of "the Bible belt."

During 4 years of college I found a few I liked OK, and they were good and sound churches, but after moving here in November finally found God's place for me. Actually I like to say the church found me.

Wow...the temps here have started to drop dramatically. It was sprinkling when I walked to 1/10 of a mile to our mailbox and back again. The men working next door were saying there was ice in there, too. I didn't see it at first, but, they were right. There is a little bit of sleet in it. The winds are really blowing out there. Glad I got back in in time to miss the ever growing droplets of rain.

Evening folks....

Well I messed up good this afternoon. I forgot I had an appointment to measure costumes right after school and didn't remember until just about twenty minutes ago. I haven't been very reliable here lately.

So much for doing all those odd jobs today. I only got one done. Instead I spent the day with my MIL searching out assisted living facilities in the area.

T's grandfather(91) suffers from alzheimer's. My FIL and his sister(Aunt J) have been taking turns living with him for the last two years in spite of their own bad health. It has gotten to a point where that is not working well any more. Aunt J got sick the last time she was here and doesn't seem to be recovering well. There is no way FIL can take care of him by himself and MIL can't help take care of him because grandfather doesn't like her(almost to the point of violence, doesn't like her).

Anyway, we did find quite a nice place for him that is within his means. I was very surprised at the homeyness of some of these places. One of them even had white linens on the tables! Very cushy. Of course that place didn't have any space. One place was so bad though, that we took one look and kept on driving.

We ended up liking the very first place we visited. Visiting the rest was mostly a waste of our time. But we needed to see what was really out there.

Now if we can get FIL and Aunt J to get together and agree on it, we'll have a good solution to the problem of grandfather's care.

Pray for us as we make this important decision. While I'm on the outside and can see that this is the best solution for Papa, he is still Daddy to FIL and Aunt J. It is a hard thing to take authority over your parents, even when it is obvious that they can no longer make even the simplest decision for themselves. There is also no trust between brother and sister, which complicates matters even further.

It's still 52 here tonight but we've had some real thunderstorms come through and even lost satellite for a while. There's nothing on so it doesn't matter!

Cindi, I detest having things scheduled to do. This week is really a bit much for me with just the doctor for Nick on Wednesday and for my foot on Friday. Neither appointment is a 'big deal' and both are 10 mins. from our home. It's just the 'having to be someplace at a certain time' that irks me. I'm a real home body. I need to call tomorrow and make sure our Blue Cross will cover cataract surgery before I set up an appointment with an eye doctor. My eyesight with glasses was 20/400 2 years ago and it's much worse in that eye now. I can't see anything but smeared colors through that eye.

Only 8 more AWANA nights because of spring break and ending for the summer and 7 Discipleship classes on Sunday night because of spring break, Easter and ending for the summer. I'm ready for some time off! VBS is the second week of June and then I'll just have Sunday School until mid August. That really gives me 3 months off. Last summer I took on teaching EVERY child from age 3 through 1st grade on Wednesday night all by myself. Not this year. It's someone else's turn!

Howdy all. Today was a nice cool breezy day until it started raining in the afternoon. The girls wanted to go hunt butterflies, but we only found one. He got away, too. They were so cute wit their nets.

You many remember, the church has been doing some updates on this parsonage - we have been waiting on the concrete guys for 2 weeks to come pour new concrete on the front porch (cracked and crumbling in a few places). They are also going to pull up the carpet (all but the kitchen and bathrooms is carpeted) and put down new flooring. We had asked the guys doing it if they'd give us a few days notice before they come so we can get things moved and cleaned out, etc. We got word tonight that they are coming at 8am. So we have been cleaning out closets, moving stuff, and trying not to grouch about it.
It will be nice to have wood floors and new kitchen floor.

Tomorrow, the girls and I are going with the older ladies of the church to deliver cookies to folks (shut-ins I think). We are excited about that.

Yall have a good day and stay dry!!
