Now how you girls can be against snow is beyond me. Just think, no bugs, dust, snakes, or overheating! Here's some of that nitrogen rich solid rain for you.
I love snow, winter and that great rich soil. I also love being in an area where Baptists are the VAST majority. If I won the lottery (you can't win tho, if you don't buy a ticket), I'd buy me about 50 acres somewhere in VA. or roundabouts where I could have it all!
Our mosquitoes are as big as Volkswagons and are the Asian Tiger mosquitoes that hide in the leaves or grass at night and bite during the day. Nick went out to walk the dog yesterday afternoon in long jeans, high socks and a windbreaker over his shirt and got bit on his leg and both arms.

I've got bites on my ears, hands, arms, legs, top of my feet, elbow... thankfully, I just itch with no real spots.
We had a lousy day but I MUST praise the Lord. First, I kept the 3 children only from 9:30 til 10:50 so mom could get a massage to help with her migraines. As soon as they left, Nick and I got directions and headed out to the Scholastic Warehouse all alone. No one bothered to tell me there is an OLD hwy 41 and that the other 41 makes a giant U. I missed the FIRST turn because it came much sooner than I was told it would and ended up going 40 miles round trip out of my way, getting lost and finally arriving 3 hours after leaving home for a 47 mile trip to find the warehouse only was offering a FEW items. They were all $1.00 to $5.00 and I picked some things up Ty's mother wanted for him for Christmas. I got her $60. worth of computer games for $7.50~~ Nick got 5 books and a 'Spy Packet'. I also got a Franklin VHS for Valentines for the granddaughters. All in all, $21.00 for all of us but $10. in wasted gas. HOWEVER, I got so lost I cried and almost caused a wreck when trying to merge with a guy in my blind spot. He cussed at me and made an ugly motion. I pulled over at Jim's work office, called hubby who was in another county and he 'led me' back to where I knew my way on our cell phones. I've NEVER gone into those big areas around Atlanta alone and the traffic was horrid! So... 129 miles later.... we're home safe!
Scooter is just learning SO well! I walked him right before bed and again when Jim's clock went off at 5:30 and he was 'dry' all night! Nick's teaching him 'Come', 'Sit', 'Fetch' and 'Release' with small pieces of cheese. We also had bought a puppy pool and after he's walked, he will go crazy in the giant sand box Jim had built so when it's time to come back inside, he goes to the pool and I lift him in and wash him off before we come inside. I think he's tripled his size in 2 1/2 weeks.
Patches doesn't seem to mind him, as long as he doesn't try to touch noses. She'll slap his face and hiss if he does. I put their food down at the same time and he gobbles his down. She's such a lady and eats very slowly. He'll stay way away but when she's finished, he rushes over and cleans her plate.
Well I have no children tomorrow and Nick's books from BJU will be here first thing a.m. PERFECT timing! Now I need to take photos and list all his 4th grade things on Ebay. I even found one 3rd grade book that didn't sell last year.
Friday I'll have the 3 children but not Ty. He's been off all week (I do still get paid tho) and won't be back until late Monday morning. I do like sleeping in! This 5:30 childcare is hard on us more mature girls!
See, I don't need a blog~ Other than telling you about ironing or my thoughts for our horrible backyard, I've just about told you everything that happened today. I lead such an exciting life!
