    Thank you all!

I am excited about it. I'm not sure my daughter wants to admit she's old enough to be a Grandma though. [IMG]

Brent and I are watching the '4400' and then heading for bed.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Jim's old boss and his wife and another couple from Florida were here until not long ago. The boss and wife moved to Ga. part time when they had to cut back on their business but we only see them about 3 times a year. It was a really nice visit. They brought Nick a large book on Dinosaurs from a Creation Seminar.

Well tomorrow starts school! Kelsey is going to be dropped off about 9:00 and the other children will be brought after a doctor's appointment. That gives us an hour or so to get her situated at the table and a chance for her to see how we 'run' home schooling. I hope she can stay on task without meds. [IMG]

I'm BEAT! I had a hard time waking up this morning. The children were really good in Sunday School. I only had 10. I know many were out of town for the last vacation before school.

Hope everyone sleeps well. I can sleep til about 8 tomorrow so TTYL.

    Yea Sue!

We are taping the 4400 to watch tomorrow.

It's extremely hot here. Everything is sticky and it's so hot, our smoke alarms are chirping. Cheryl is threatening to leave me for another air conditioner. I told her she wasn't leaving me cause I'm going with her. It's 85 now. We hope it cools down in the night.

Oh Gib! Poor guy! It's 72° here and quite breezy! We didn't even turn on our air today. A big storm just came through that lasted only minutes. Hope it cools down for you and I'm looking forward to an early and cold winter! No bugs and frozen ground so no bites and no mud! ;)

    Good morning all:

Gib, if you figure out what's going on with the "4400", let me know. Every time I think I have it - the plot changes!

It is going to be 95º again today and the humidity is almost 100º already. Makes it awfully hard for me to breathe. But, even at that, I'm NOT looking forward to WINTER!!!

We are going to try and do some yard work early this morning. I doubt I'll last long with the humidity, but there is a bush I need to get planted.

    Cruising,

    Morning all:

I'm sitting here, anxiously waiting for the coffee pot to hurry up and finish brewing the coffee. Viv's still in bed and I'm checking email, etc, before getting ready to go to this other neurosurgeon up at Vanderbilt in Nashville. I have to be there between 8 and 8:30am.

Vivian and I started watching the 4400 about five minutes into it last night, and she said she couldn't follow it, so we turned it. I think we ended up on TV land with "Good Times".

Wow, the weather report just popped up and it's supposed to be 95 here, too, Sue! We're supposed to be getting those dreaded though much needed, afternoon showers. It will make it sooooo humid here!

The people who bought the house next to us are supposed to be closing today. The other house to the left of us is supposed to be closing sometime soon, too. Maybe that will deter some of those who would be breaking into the properties.

    Have a good day, all.

    T

Good morning Tony, blackbird, and Bro. Ed!

The 4400 is a TV series that I can't make head nor tails out of...

Yes, I am going to 'play' Crossing Guard again this year. We start right after Labor Day. I will probably have that job until I can no longer walk out into the street!

    Morning everyone!

We've got to do some end of the summer reorganizing in the kids rooms upstairs this morning. We need to sort out old/unused clothes and toys and get everything neat so I don't have to spend a lot of time in there when school starts. I don't mind doing general pickup for them when they're in school, but I'd better not have to do much!!!!

Then at noon we have to head back to B'ham because Son has an appointment with his neurologist. Now's a good time to go as we are just off a 3 week bout with his migraines. He really hasn't had a good summer, bless his heart. At least we know now that there is a definate correlation between the amount of stress he has and the length of his migraines. We had been wondering about that for a while, but other triggers were more obvious. This time stress over that ticket could only have been the cause as we have eliminated (or just weren't experiencing) any of his other triggers. It was also pretty amazing that the migraine disapeared overnight after the judge let him off. Not certain what the doc will want/can do about a 10 year olds stress level. Son is already on a mild antidepressant(also works as a migraine preventative). Who knew there could be enough stress in a 10 year old to cause migraines? I can't really get a good grasp of it, as I had tons more stress in my life at 10 than he's experienced in his entire life. My kids have it pretty easy for the most part. Well, I guess we'll see what the doc advises.

Tony, Sue, I can't make much sense out of 4400 either. I gave it up a few weeks ago.

When I left this morning it was 87 degrees in the house. Cheryl and the boys will go to the Bates Motel tonight if we can't get it fixed. It's so hot in muggy inside, Piper won't come in.

The 4400 is something you can't just watch once and get it. In the end, that may be it's downfall.

I was logged in to the BB last night around midnight (in between doing my month end chores for work), and something was awful wierd! All the topics were from June, and the last items links were from December! Looks like it's OK now. I think.

Boy Howdy on a Monday a.m. Out running errands (chauffering my son whose car broke down and wife is in Illinois with the van) and suffering from nasal problems.

Got a capsule up the nose the back way (choked when swallowing some caps and one went up the back of the throat into the nose). It fell apart kinda and drained its contents slowly down the throat. Felt on fire.

Finally choked out the main empty capsule. Gross. But this morning it is irritated, eye watering and sneezed 100 times. Grrrr.

Evidently the remnants of "hurricane capsule" are still causing problems . . .

Ever try hiking with a broken wrist ? I spent Saturday in Glacier International Peace park, and hiked the three miles to Hidden Lake. Saw one black bear, and several mountain goats, but I never thought that balance would be so adversely affected by having only one good arm.

BTW, if you ever get the chance, drive the "Going to the Sun" highway in upper Montana. It's 51 miles, and will take approx 3 hours, but there are several breathtaking views along the way. Actually, it's all breathtaking.

    God bless.

Bro. Curtis, it sounds like you had a good time.

My g/son has a broken arm. The left one and, of course, he is left-handed!

I had toe surgery and, for such a little member, it sure is causing big problems.

We have been learning all about how hard it is to get a job done without a member of our bodies.

Kind of like being in a church when some of the members don't work. There is no such thing as a 'little' member. We are all needed - eh?

Well maybe the U.S. flipped one night and we didn't notice it because it's only 77° here this afternoon and actually felt like fall when I walked Scooter at 6:00 a.m. 76% humidity but we just have on the ceiling fans. [IMG]

Kelsey came at 8:45 so we got a bit of a head start on school before Mom came back with the little ones. MacKenzie had an 'ear check'. Her chicken pox are almost all dried up and no one else has shown any signs of breaking out now. [IMG] Ty's at Grandma's awaiting a new baby cousin. I wasn't expecting him today but now he won't be here tomorrow either.

School went okay. Nick's workbooks haven't arrived but he had some extra credit reading he could do and didn't need a math workbook. Our company had stayed later than I expected last night and I didn't get all the pages out as I had planned but it worked fine anyhow. We spent about 2 1/2 to 3 hours actually working and another 45 mins. or so planning out our daily schedule. Kelsey seemed pretty shocked at what she doesn't have to do compared to Public School. [IMG]

Well I have a GIANT load of clothes to fold! We bathe off Scooter after walking him because of all the rain and red mud and I've gone through all our old towels in just days.
