Good Morning all:
Sue, glad you had a good day yesterday.
Gayla, that is great news. I'm still praying for you.
Yesterday was a hard day for us at church. Attendance was down, but that was because of some of our people working on the Katrina relief efforts, and some were out of town with family. But, it was a good service. The three preachers in the church and their wives met yesterday morning before service to try and set up a method for us to receive members. We got a basic set of 3 acceptable ways, but, there were questions on the part of some of the people, which is a good thing. We want to do this right this time, and not be like the former church. There were some slight disagreements, but nothing that the church cannot/will not handle. We are meeting again on Friday evening at 6:30 to discuss further and vote on the guidelines. I think they'll be hashed out pretty reasonably and prayerfully on Friday, Lord willing.
Though it was a hard Sunday, it was a great Sunday. Just because a day was rough doesn't mean that God wasn't in it. Sometimes God will put some obstacles in our paths to make us look not only to Him, but to study further the situation and see the possibilities. He is a wonderful Saviour and Lord!
It is quite cool here this morning, and quite foggy. The temp is 60 and falling, and the humidity is 100%. We almost snagged us a wild turkey with the car yesterday, and three deer, too. They were only about 500 ft from each other. There is a lot of wildlife out here!
Hope all of you have an excellent day. I have a very important doctors appointment this evening at 5:30pm. I've been putting it off, but cannot put it off any longer. Please pray for this consistant pain in my back, hips and legs. The more hurt, the more stress...the more stress, the more it affects not only my diabetes, but my vertigo attacks/meniere's disease. Vicious cycle, but I'm not complaining. God has his reasons.
Be good, be kind, be careful,
