Padre: Come on over. Just make sure the milk is nice and cold! ;)

Debby: I usually make my oatmeal cookies with raisins, but Brent wanted chocolate chips this time.

I make Oatmeal Scotchies with butterscotch chips. They are delicious!!!

Ah,oatmeal cookies! I love 'em all! [IMG]

It is just now 63 here and the humidity is at 95%.
We just had some deer in the back yard and a few wild turkeys across the road entering the woods. Wow, I love the nature out here! [IMG]

Yep. Tried twice. It put the message an my screen that "cookie" was not allowed as an html tag. And all I did was the exact post you see above, but I used the word "cookie." I've used it twice here, let's see if it goes through.

Hmmm, very strange indeed. [IMG] Maybe it's the "cookie" monster! ;)

Might be because HTML is not enabled on this board, only UBB?

I wasn't doing HTML. I was just posting in the quick reply box. Nothing out of the ordinary.
    Oh, well, it's gone now.

I get to go to Band practice tonight (Symphonic Band - Philadelphia Biblical University, percussion section), in preparation for the first concert of the season. We're playing Russian composers. I won't be able to do heavy things, like lift the crash cymbals, but I hope I can at least do xylo and snare drum. It will be good to go make some noise! Very theraputic! And the students are fun to work with.

Good afternoon, All. Our internet service was down this morning so I am really behind. Everything that I needed to do this morning involved the internet. Oh my, too dependent on the computer. A friend said that she read if one spent more than 4-5 hours a day on the computer they were addicted. What do you think? I'm not sure we can do without one anymore. How times change? Ten years ago, I was afraid to log on to the internet.

So I did have fun painting and went to the grocery store. I resisted all those "sweet cookie types" and here you all are talking about them. I'll probably gain weight just thinking about them.

I did buy candy for the Fall Festival at Church. Maybe I could have just one??

Talk about exercise, my grocery cart broke down halfway through my shopping. Now I'm too lazy to unload one basket for another so I fought that thing the rest of the time.

If there is a broken cart in that store, I will be the one to get it.

Oh, Sue, I looked for the Hamburger Helper that you said was good. Now they must have had 25 different kinds of Hamburger Helper on the Shelf and it was only $1.00 a box, but not the one that you said was good. I can't remember the name now, but I had it on my list.

The broken cart sounds like my luck. If there is only one broken cart in the store, Thankful, you and I will have to fight over it! [IMG]

I always get a cart that has three wheels that want to shop and one wheel that wants to head for the parking lot!

Cheesy Enchilada is the Hamburger Helper that I bought. You will have to keep looking until you find it because it is delicious... :D

I have been busy downloading all day. There are so many things that I lost on the other computer. I really don't understand it because I paid them to 'network' and transfer all my files plus I still have my old hard-drive in this computer.

I even had to BUY Microsoft Works - it completely disappeared - and that comes FREE on all computers!

I looked for Cheesy Enchilada Hamburger Helper twice at Wal-Mart, but it was all gone! It must be the tastiest.

Just have to keep looking, I guess. [IMG]

Sue, I hope you get your computer straightened out soon! What did we ever do without them--or cell phones???

Well, Gwen, I did fine before I had a computer, but I don't know what I'd do without one now!

    Time for cookies and milk!

    Pleasant dreams all!

Fresh milk for me. Where'd Debby leave those oatmeal circular baked treats with lots of cinnamon and raisins and peanut butter ones with a chocolate kiss on top.

    Morning all:

Padre, where'd you get the picture of the farm just behind us? I saw that very same thing yesterday!

It's a cooler 56 here this morning, and it's foggy as all get out! Viv went out to the car this morning and out flew a rabbit!

The dogs out Longview Road were all stirred up about something most of last night. I don't know if it was a skunk, possum or what, but they were howling, barking and having a fit! They were still doing it this morning at 2am. About ten minutes after Vivian left, they stopped. But, I saw a bobcat (a real one, not the machine) run through the yard. That may have been what all the ruckus was about.

Vivian is getting off at 11am today. She has to take me into Murfreesboro for my follow-up with the urologist. I'm still having pain, and they think there is either another stone, or maybe the other one didn't fully remove itself from my system.

Well, I had better go. Viv's gonna call in a few minutes, and I don't want to be on the line in case she calls. It always does crazy things to my computer even though we've got Catch-A-Call box hooked to the line.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful

Just a couple of keen observations here

Thats a Holstein milk cow that Padre has posted!!! Obviously not camera shy!!

The dogs??? Yes!!! It is quiet obvious that the dogs were on what is called "Protection Mode"---protecting the good citizens around the perimeter of T's house----cool weather usually brings out the "Fiest" in the best of 'um!! Blackbird has observed over a lengthly period of time---that it is next to impossible for

    1. The Canine family to develop voice problems!! Laringitus and sore throats do not run up and down the gene pool!!!!

    2. It IS possible for Homosapians to be able to "tune out" a Locomotive's horn---but next to impossible to tune out a Canine bark!!!!

Typical observation in Dr. Blackbird's "Sleep Lab"

"Did you hear the train horn last night??"

"Train??? What train??? I didn't hear no horn!!"

    On the other hand

"Frazzlin' dog barked all nite long last night!!!"

    Good morning all:

Still praying, Tony. We used to have CallWave hooked up when we had dial-up service. It worked great!

It is cloudy and 55F this morning, with humidity at 94%, heading for a high of 68F this afternoon.

Brent has been doing extra work each day this week so he can have Friday off (we had school Monday). We didn't get our trip to Springfield last week, so we are going this Friday. Sonics is calling Brent's name. [IMG]

Don't tell Brent, but we have two Sonic"s only two miles from us. And another one on our way to church. That was what my grandchildren missed when they moved to Florida and then they were soooo excited when a Sonic came to their town. I like Sonic too. Actually, Muffin does, too. He always gets a "junior burger"

Muffin has been on alert this morning. I couldn't see anything. I finally walked the yard to see if there was a "cat"...Oh the fresh air this morning is great! Anyway, it seems that he doesn't like the neighbors Halloween decorations. They have actually established a graveyard in their front yard.

Well, I got a late start this morning and I have a new hymnal to explore and play.

    See you later.

Thankful! That's terrible about Sonics! We have to drive 40 miles each way to eat at one! [IMG]

I have some cute, lighted, pumpkins hanging in my front windows and 'Miss Lucy' (my goose) has a halloween-print dress and bonnet on. That's about the extent of my decorating. It's more Fall decorating than Halloween.

Yes, it's rough here. LOL There are 3 Sonics in town. This makes me feel like having a strawberry frozen slush!
