Thank you for your prayers AVL. I will certainly remember your sis and her family. I know that has to be a very difficult trial to be going through. Praise the Lord they continue to serve God through it all.

Good morning all:

I was busy all evening setting up my computer and trying to get everything back to normal. I still can't find things!!!

It is a cool 37º this morning heading for a (not so high) of 61º.

I went to bed with a headache and woke up with one. Brent and I have both been sneezing and coughing. Ahhh, winter is coming...

Cruising,

P.S.
Scarlett - You go girl!!!

Good Morning All

This is the day, This is the day that the Lord hath made.

This is also the day of the 100th Red River Shootout. To be more specific, Oklahoma has invaded Texas for the 100th time of which Oklahoma has won 55 times and tied 7.

Now, this Texan used to be a Texas fan and the first time I went to a Texas OU game as a Sooner, I found myself yelling for both sides, but Sooners won that game!

Have a great day everyone!
Boomer Sooner!!!! Down with the Longhorns!

Morning,

We're drying out here. Many areas are flooded here in Brunswick. Several of my co-workers were affected. My cousin got about 2 ft of water throughout her house. We evacuated from work at 1pm. Several of the cars were breached by the rising waters. I waded out to my truck. It had rained at high tide and the water had nowhere to go but up.

I do have some good news. I have my own private lake and hope to stock it with some bass and catfish.

Morning Gib,

I saw the report last night on the Weather Channel about Brunswick. I was shocked at the amount of water that was throughout the city. I saw where one of the hospitals were surrounded by water and the nurses were pulling trash bags up around their legs to wade through it. Sure hope everything dries out quickly there.

Since you will be needing some fish...I donate the first one. hehe

Afternoon all,

Gib, dry up! ;) No, truthfully hope all is ok there. My sis in Waycross was supposed to call me back but hasn't done so yet. She was pretty busy with water herself from what she said.

It's cool here, not even 60 yet. It feels like it's going to rain. Vivian had to stay home because I was still not really able to move real well. We went to a special church prayer meeting last night and I was in pain, but, I made it through with the Lords help. It was a blessed time.

Anyone else having trouble getting through on their servers to places? I had to connect with my second connection instead of my primary isp. It was a real pain.

Ya'll have a good day.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

I just got back from my folks' house.

Today is their 46th wedding anniversary and I went to town and bought them flowers, a balloon, a cherry pie, and a cake.

When I got to their house, they were sitting at the kitchen table, holding hands.

The were taking turns making a loud "popping" sound with their mouths. (Like making a loud letter "p")

They were giggling and laughing and trying to see who could make the loudest noise!! When they saw me, they were not the LEAST bit embarrassed.

Yep, that's my parents!! He's 68 and she's 64 and still act like they are 15 when they are around each other!!

But they are a blessing to me and I thank the Lord for them both.

Peace-
Scarlett O.

Well, Thankful...guess those stats have changed a little now, huh? What was that about "Down with the Longhorns"? :D

By the way, did you hear they changed it to "Red River Rivalry" instead of "Red River Shootout"? Serious. Some thought "Red River Shootout" sounded too violent.

Tony, I've had the same problem with my internet connection today...some sites connect just fine; others are slow to totally non-responsive. Glad you said something...I thought it was just me!

Thankful

Ok, CJ, you can brag this time,

Texas played a good game!

I thought they had changed it to something, but remember I'm from the old school when little boys used to play cowboys, so I guess I'm from that violent generation, huh?

Tony, My computer has been slow for the last few days. It is frustrating.

Oh yes, I'm still a loyal Sooner fan! It is difficult to live in this town and not be one.

Well, my 84 year old Sunday School teacher will be sad tomorrow, but she will just say they are young and inexperienced.

Scarlett, that is wonderful about your parents.

Well folks, I finally had to put the short trousers to rest until next year. It was cold enough for long trousers, and to help matters it is dropping to -5c tonight. We just may be in for an early winter.

Cheers,

Jim

Evening all:

We had a great youth conference. The main auditorium was full as well as the balcony. We always have several hundred teems, from several different states each year.

It was good to see Pastor Bob and family too. My the kids are growing up SO fast!

Jim: What is the URL to the page where I can change from C to F for temperatures? It was one of the things that got lost in my transition of computers.

It has been a long day, made longer by a killer headache...

I'm going to fix something quick for supper and it will be an 'early to bed' night for us all.

Pleasant dreams all!

Well, I found out that some of the problem with the slowed up connections and sometimes NO connection is a feud between the two companies who control most of the internet. One feels that since it is the bigger company, the second one ought to pay to use their internet connections to the sites. It's aggravating to see such greed! But, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Sue, glad you had a great time with Pastor Bob.

Everyone, have a wonderful night and a Holy Ghost filled Sunday!

Sue, I would have to look it up on the net.....But -5c is about 20f....enough to freeze the pumpkins, so I covered them with plastic and kissed them goodnight...a waving kiss of course.

The formula, however, is degrees C by 9/5 then add 32.........no, I can't calculate it either..lol

Cheers,

Jim

Sue: If you want to convert C to F quickly in your head, just double it and add 30. It's not completely accurate, but it's pretty close. To go from F to C, subtract 30 and divide by 2. Easy!

Thanks for the links and info everyone and good morning:

It is a cool 37ºF (2ºC) :D , heading for a high of 64º. The humidity is still high at 84%.

I got up at 5:00 and Brent was already up. We both have very stuffy heads and he couldn't breath so he spent most of the night in the recliner. It's a good (bad) season for colds...

Have a blessed Lord's day!
