OW!! I'm glad you're ok. A 5 mm kidney stone sounds plenty big to me!Originally posted by AVL1984:
I've got a doctors appointment at 5pm with my PCP, and then sometime next week with the urologist. Both were surprised that I was even moving around with a 5mm stone in me. That's not all that big of a stone, though, is it? My kidney is bruised as are my back and part of my hip. That must be some strong ultrasonic blast they use. Glad it's over, though, and glad to be back on the CGCH.I missed it. If I'd have had a notebook, I'd have been hooked up the whole time, but I probably wouldn't have gotten much posting done with all of the tests and the poking and prodding they did.
I found out last night that during the surgery to put in the stent and catheter, they lost my blood pressure. Zippo....It took them 90 seconds to get it back. Guess I stopped breathing, too. They had fair warning, though. So, they were prepared. I did that in my last surgery, too, last year when they were scoping me.
