COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #86

I am going to bed folks. We are getting up early so Brent can get an early start on his school work. He has a dental appointment tomorrow and I don't like him to get behind.

I finally got the kitchen floor mopped and waxed AND dried before Dale brought the new (used) table and chairs home. The set is really nice for $50.00 and extends to 5 1/2 feet when both leafs are in it. That will really come in handy this Christmas!

It is all wood except for the tabletop. That is laminated. It is very pretty! I need to get some Liquid Gold or some such to spruce it up a bit.

Pleasant dreams all!

Morning all, and thanks for the prayers and concern.
God has been good. Though still in quite a bit of pain, I'm glad to be home. I know the pain will pass and God will continue to bless.

It's a warm 68 degrees here, clear skies, but foggy near the ground. It's supposed to be up near 90 again today, but cooler tomorrow!

I've got a doctors appointment at 5pm with my PCP, and then sometime next week with the urologist. Both were surprised that I was even moving around with a 5mm stone in me. That's not all that big of a stone, though, is it? My kidney is bruised as are my back and part of my hip. That must be some strong ultrasonic blast they use. Glad it's over, though, and glad to be back on the CGCH. :)I missed it. If I'd have had a notebook, I'd have been hooked up the whole time, but I probably wouldn't have gotten much posting done with all of the tests and the poking and prodding they did.

I found out last night that during the surgery to put in the stent and catheter, they lost my blood pressure. Zippo....It took them 90 seconds to get it back. Guess I stopped breathing, too. They had fair warning, though. So, they were prepared. I did that in my last surgery, too, last year when they were scoping me.

Sue, the table and chairs sound great. I wish Viv and I could come upon some chairs here for a reasonable price. We're using plastic outdoors chairs right now. They were ok when we had the foster kids, but not now. Liquid Gold will indeed work wonders on it!

Ya'll have a great day. Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

Good morning all:

It is 62 this morning with the humidity at 100%. Expecting a high of 90 this afternoon, but rain tomomrrow and only a high of 62.

Tony, it is SO good to see you posting again! Good luck with your appointments today!

Dale has blood work done tomorrow. We're hoping he'll be able to stop the injections of Lovenox. It's hard to find a place on his abdomen that hasn't already been poked!

I get a perm in my hair twice a year and today's the day. Plus Brent has a dental appointment, so those things plus schooling will keep us pretty busy today.

HAGD!

I sleep with a mask over my nose. I often take it off during the night - and my wife tells me to put it back on.

You'd think that with a nose as big as mine - lots of air would get through it - but my main reason for taking it off - "I can't breathe through my nose!"

PS - I do find that I am more rested when I wear the mask.

I also find that I need less sleep when I wear the mask.

Thankful

Hey, Sue, I hope you don't have to wear a paper bag over your head for a few days.

Getting a perm is always a risky.

Good afternoon, all. Ran some errands this morning and bought gasoline again...10 gals for $27.00. Difficult to believe. Can any of you remember when we could get a $1.00 worth of gas...maybe you are too young...then there was $5.00 worth that would last and last and last.

Well, our income was not very much back then either.

The weather man said we will need our sweaters tomorrow. It is very warm...86 degrees now.

Do you decorate your houses for fall?

Muffin will not like the scarecrows in the house.

Well, my perm turned out fine, but my computer sure didn't. They're wanting almost $500.00 to fix it - no way!

Gas is $3.00 a gallon here!!!!!

I am getting my fall decorations out today, but right now Brent is due at the dentist.

CYAL,

Sue, sometimes Walmart has some really good buys on computers. I think you can get a new one for $500.00, don't you?

Glad to hear that your perm is ok.

Afternoon all:

It's a warm 90 here with heat index of 95. It's supposed to cool down tomorrow.

I'm waiting and nervous about this doctors appointment tonight. I know they found something wrong with my white blood cell count from the blood tests last Friday morning long before I was admitted to the hospital. I hope that it's nothing serious. I don't think I can take many more health related issues, and neither can my wife. She's getting to be a nervous wreck now afraid I'm going to try and do something I'm not supposed to do like mow the lawn, drive or something like that. Ain't I a stinker? ! ?

Well, hope ya'll have a great night! I'm hoping to make it to Bible study tonight. God's been good to us in that we've only missed one service since we've joined Faith Community.

God bless ya'll.

Tony, good to see you! Have been wondering and praying.

We've been getting rain and wind from T. S. Tammy all day. Looks like it will get worse before it gets better. We're under a Flood watch untill 11 pm, I have about 20 minutes to decide if I want to chance driving 30 miles home in the dark and only God knows how much rain after church. (I can't see very well at night, eswpecially with headlights coming the opposite direction, sometimes I feel almost "Blinded by the Lights".

Sue, I just bought a new computer from Office Depot...included flat panel monitor. After I get $150.00 in rebates, it will net out at about $500.00. Of course, you have to pay up front and wait 3 months or so for the rebate, but it's a great computer!

OW!! I'm glad you're ok. A 5 mm kidney stone sounds plenty big to me!

That's a good deal CJ! What brand did you get?

I took Brent's up today. He used it for educational CD's. They are putting both hard drives into his computer (my old one) and that way I will have all of my files and won't have to buy a new PC just yet.

They checked both computers out and are combining the hard drives for $100.00. I didn't think that was too bad. It's better than buying a new one right now.

Everyone is coming home for Christmas this year on Dec. 10th, and my oldest g/son is getting married Dec. 9th. There will be about 25 people at the house for dinner. This is NOT a good time to be buying a computer.

Dale's illness, the roof, and the fence took our savings account down to -0-. So, any large purchases will have to wait until we save up again. We don't buy anything on credit.

We bought Brent some 'sweats' at the thrift shop today and he found a Bible Game so we are going to play that for awhile before bed.

I got HP. After I spent a couple of weeks getting everything "tweaked" like I like it, uninstalling all the pre-loaded junk, getting all my personal software installed and operating correctly, and getting all my personal files and folders loaded from my old computer, it's GREAT! No wonder I don't do this often!

However, IF I had 25 people coming for dinner in December, and IF I had a g/son getting married in December, I probably WOULD have put up with my old one! But combining the hard drives sounds like a great idea...and I'm glad you got it fixed for only 100 bucks! One would think the Lord is taking care of you, huh? Isn't He good to us?

Hi Tony! So glad to hear from you and that you're doing better. Praise God.
I pulled out my pathology report from my kidney stone two years ago and it said 0.1 cm x 0.1 cm. This stone had my right kidney severely infected, threw something in my blood off, and had me on the floor for three hours and almost completely dehydrated before I even made it to the hospital. I had had other stones before and always passed them at home. I waited too long long on this one, expecting it would pass. It took me almost 2 days to pass it and I was in the hospital for a total of four days due to the infection and blood thingie. You did the right thing going in immediately and YES!!! a 5 cm kidney stone is HUGE!!! Keep us posted...

Morning all:

A cooler 63 here. The breeze was wonderful when I went out this morning! There was a little bit of fog, but that was ok.

The doctors appointment went well last night. They had indicated something about my white blood cell count, so I thought maybe I was going to have to go through testing for Leukemia again. But, the doctor said everything came back looking great and the white blood cell count was back down to normal! Praise the Lord!!! My hemoglobin is back up to 11.9 and the lymphocite counts are all normal.

I didn't make it to Bible study, but had already called Bro Monty to let him know that I probably wouldn't be there. I know they prayed for me last night. I could feel the prayers of others. Some of the pain alleviated from my side overnight, and that IS an answer to prayer!

Well, my pills and antibiotics are starting to kick in, so I will probably go and lie down for a while. I need to try and get some rest. Also, please pray for Vivian. She's going to work Friday and Saturday to make up for the time she missed because of me. Seems like I've used up most of her vacation time this year, and I know that's hard on her. Sometimes I wonder why she put's up with me. She's a real gift from God.

Have a great day all!

Be good, Be kind, Be careful!

Good morning all:

Glad you got some rest, Tony. Sorry Viv has to work this week end. Sunday is the only day Dale gets off anymore. Glad your blood count came back so good! Dale has blood work today, hopefully he will be able to stop the injections.

It is a cool 52 here this morning. As it is only going to get up to 58 today and down to 41 tonight, and back up to 50 tommorrow, I may have to kick the furnace on to get the chill off.

Off to eat my oatmeal,
