Good morning all,

I am just stopping by for a cup of that 'famous' Coffee House coffee!

I am getting ready to bake my pies and put together my stuffing, and other side dishes.

I will be popping in and out of here on my 'breaks'.

HAGD!

Good Morning Everyone!

I didn't make it back here to say goodnight, last night. It was lovely having real company(as in not family) for the first time in at least two years. We cooked, ate and then drove down to the country and did a little target practice. They had a nice .357 that shot like a dream. Then it was back home just in time to get Bitsy to gymnastics. By the time I made it home, I went straight to bed!

Another nice thing that happened yesterday was that I got gas for $1.99 a gallon! Had to drive to the next town over to get it, but that's where gymnastics is. In our town the cheapest you can get it is $2.14, and most of the station still want $2.29 for it.

Today we will spend cooking as the house is still clean(don't know how that happened). Son is cooking breakfast. Then we will start on the goodies for tomorrow. I forgot to take the turkey out last night so I have to work on getting it thawed today.

Maybe I'll get my car back today, now that I don't need it! It would have held kids and company. As it was we had to drive two cars down to the country.

I'm glad that Muffin is feeling better!

See ya later!

Yea!!!!! Good for Muffin!(and Mom and Dad too)

LOL Thankful, do you need to see the doctor so you can recover from the stoke you suffer when you wrote the check for the the vet bill? Sick pets can cost as much as sick kids! Been there and done that.

Don't spoil your baby too much......

Glad Muffin is home!!

I need to clean out the fridge so I can start filling it back up again. I'd been wondering why I couldn't find many plastic containers. There are some in the fridge with Science projects in them. YUCK!! I hate it when I do that.

We had a Thanksgiving Revival from Sunday AM 'til last night. It was great.

Hey, folks. Had my spinal injections today. They are thinking of changing them to a different kind on Dec 7th. I'm sort of out of it right now, but wanted to post and let you know that I'm still alive (so I can still torture some of you...LOL....) and that I wanted ya'll to have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

Gayla: I cleaned my fridge yesterday. Yuck!

Tony: Glad you stopped by and a very Happy Thanksgiving to YOU!

Elnora: Are you going on a vacation or just throwing your computer against the wall?

Time for bed folks. I'm worn out from cooking and baking, but glad I got most of it done.

Pleasant dreams all!

Good evening, everyone. I'm tired, but happy. Two grandkids were here and it seemed that everyone we know called today. Grandaughter and I cooked and cooked. Then she painted and painted. Grandson stayed on the computer most of the day, but he helped Grandpa get the Christmas decorations down from the attic. Tomorrow afternoon, we will put up the outdoor decorations. It was 82 degrees here today.

We are having to give Muffin two different meds, new food, and watch him carefully. Vet said to keep him calm, but he wanted to follow me every step. So while everyone was busy doing something, Muffin and I sat and watched tv for an hour. He finally ate some of his new food tonight and now he is asleep under the computer desk.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Just got back from a wonderful Thanksgiving Eve service. As I sat and listened to so many of the new people stand and tell what the Lord has done for them, I realized that what I was thankful for was hearing their reports - that the Lord was really working in our church! We are still in the midst of a rebirth, having had our pastor now for just over a year, and having the way we do things change dramatically. The Lord has blessed us indeed!

I pray that all my friends on the BB have such blessings. Hope you all have a great day tomorrow!

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Great weather and a beautiful day!

We have decided to eat later today. My dad used to insist on our thanksgiving dinner be at 12 Noon.

Have fun today with your families.

Good morning all and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

All I have left to bake are the candied sweet potatoes and the rolls. It should take about 30 minutes for both, so we will be eating around 1:00.

I kind of ran into a 'snag' this morning that slowed my cooking down.

I smelled something in Brent's bedroom that smelled like a burnt electrical wire. It was pretty strong. Dale checked the basement, attic, and crawl space and couldn't find anything.

I was ready to call for a firetruck. They check it out for free and I'd rather be safe than sorry. The odor has abated somewhat, but I can still smell it. If it persists, I will have the fire department check it out.

I had a house burn to the ground once because of an electrical 'flaw'. All I had were the clothes on my back and no renters insurance. I will never forget it.

I just saw on TV where there are 3 homeless families today because of electrical fires this morning...

On a brighter note: You can tell you ate too much for Thanksgiving when you have to let your bathrobe out.

I Am Blessed, hope everything's ok electrically! In my old place in OH the wiring was BAD, and we'd get that strong smell pretty often, but they never fixed it. The day before I moved, the building next to ours burned caught on fire! So THANKFUL I'm not there anymore!

How are you making those potatos? I got yams to bake for later, I was only planning on adding a bit of butter and brown sugar at the table.

We're having fun cooking. A pumpkin pie is cooling, the girls decorated an olive platter, the turkey is in the oven, and the girls have a play set up. They made Anna the turkey, but I'm not supposed to know that. It's a suprise! :D

I usually get pretty depressed during the holidays, and this one isn't turning out much different but I'm managing. I don't know why that is it just happens, plus I woke up in a lot of pain, and a walk only made it worse so that made me MORE upset. We usually walk after dinner, but I figure I'll take them to the park a few minutes so they can get out now, then I'll go for the heavy duty pain pills when I come back.

It does smell wonderful in here! I'm loving the fact that I get a couple whole days at a time with my babies, that hasn't happened in a while. We had yesterday after school, today, Friday, then Saturday and Sunday. I didn't realize how much I really miss this!

Hi Gina!

I am stuffed. My food looked much better 30 minutes ago...

For candied sweet potatoes, I put light 1 cup of light corn syrup, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 2 TBLS of butter in a pan and bring to a boil. I boil that for 5 minutes and put 1/2 of it in the bottom of a casserole dish, add the sweet potatoes (already cooked) and pour the rest of the sauce over the top. I bake them @ 350 for 20 minutes (putting marshmallows all over the top the last 5 minutes.

You can see what they look like in this picture. They are sitting on the left bottom corner of the table.

Oh man, can I come to your house? LOL Those rolls look good, and you even made little flowers out of radishes. That's SO cute!

Ok, I have the stuff to do that, although not the marshmallows. I think I'll wait and try it on Christmas as the kids decided we HAD to have mashed potatos, so we went and got potatos and they're cooking now. I'm still baking those yams anyhow!

It's still noon here, so no food yet! There's a digital camera built into the camcorder, so if I can figure out how to hook it up maybe I'll post a pic later, if for some off reason I feel like trying to do that instead of taking a nap. I'm thinking no, but it's a nice though, huh?

What kind of pie is that in back, the one on the left?

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Everyone is stuffed here and I still have enough food left for an army! I might not have for long though as the kids keep heading back to the table for uh, um, thirds and fourths, I think. :D

Time for some quiet.....where are my earplugs?
