Well here's a pic of Trapper Peak, located in our beautiful Bitterroot Valley. The wind blows most of the snow off, but as you can see, it's still a breathtaking view, and you don't even have to get out of your car, if you don't wish to....this was taken in the spring, some years ago.

That is beautiful Curtis!

We went ahead and made fudge tonight, my first try. I got tired of seeing zillions of recipes, so I decided to just try it myself without one. I don't know why I didn't make this when I baked for the restaurants, maybe I figured I didn't know how so I didn't try?

Anyhow, it's looking like it worked. It's cooling right now. It seems really thick and is getting hard fast, so I'm not sure whether it's just how it should be, or if it's gonna turn into a rock!

Gina, I tried making fudge, for the first time, this year. We ended up with pudding with nuts in it.

I finally gave up and went to the doctor today. She gave me a breathing treatment and put two kinds of medicine in it. Then she gave me prescriptions for a ZPak, cough syrup, Prednisone, and an Atrovent inhaler to use, instead of the Albuterol, until I'm over this.

I don't mind telling you I feel 'loopy' one minute and sick at my stomach the next. There must be an antihistimine (I'm allergic) in there someplace 'cause I'm talking like a physic woodpecker and have a horrible taste in my mouth.

I haven't had much sleep this past week so I'm going to bed now and try to get some rest. That ought to be fun with one of the medicines hyping me up! :(

Yesterday morning I got up at 1:30AM and this morning I slept in until 3:30AM.

Pleasant dreams all!

Nice picture Bro. Curtis. Don't you just love living places where kids learn to spell Polypropolene before they start school.

If you don't know what Polypropolene is folks; don't worry. You probably don't live where it's needed.

Hello folks,

I pop in to read just about every day, but don't post very much. Course, if we were all in the same room, I'd sit and listen more than talk, too.

We're all doing well. Carl's workplace gives their employees a Christmas ham every year. That thing is close to 20 pounds! It was too bog to put in the fridge, so he took it to the meat dept at the grocery store Sat and had it cut into 4 pieces. He works at a container manufacturer and it was in a 5-gallon metal pail specially painted, of course. We put the bucket in the bathtub overnight and put ice on the ham to keep it until it could be cut.

Wow, Gayla! A 20 lb ham? I can't imagine how big that is! But what a treat...to last all year!

Got my Christmas cards mailed today, but for the rest of the stuff I need to do for Christmas, I'm SOOOOO behind! Still have to do some baking and wrap presents. This time of year is the busiest time for me at work. NEXT year, I'll start earlier, although I say that EVERY year! :D

Good morning all:

It's a very cold 17 degrees (f) here this morning! Viv had to let the car warm up for over 15 minutes just to melt the frost off the windows on the car.

Sue, I'm praying for you. Seems like a lot of us have breathing problems, especially this time of year.

I sent in my SS Disability review forms today. Please pray this review goes quickly. It's already given me an attack from the bleeding ulcer. I gave them all the info they requested and them some, at least six pages of my own material, etc. Seems weird that they would think someone would quit working for $25,000-$32,500 a year to get $581 a month take home. But, that's the American Gov't for you!

God bless ya'll today and give you warmth of heart and body, and cool heads to prevail against the enemy!

Good morning all,

Tony, it's good to see you posting again!

It is a frigid 5F here this morning, heading for a high of 22F. Brrrrrr!

I slept a little more last night, probably due to all the medicine! I only remember waking up twice before I got up at 4:00.

Needless to say, I'm not doing much today. I'm certainly not going outside!

HAGD!

Good morning everyone!
Hey Brother T, it's great to see you!
Glad you slept a bit more last night, Sue. I had bronchitis Fall of 04 and it was miserable. Hey, are you getting any snow right now?
I'm pretty well over this stomach virus now. This morning I feel much better. It just left me so weak. Yesterday just had a little knotty stomach left but was zapped. I had to take two naps during the day!!!
Enjoy your Tuesday!!

Good morning, Pamela.

I'm glad you are feeling better also. Yesterday, when I went to the doctor, was the first time I had left the house in seven days!

We're not scheduled for more snow until Christmas Eve, but we still have plenty of it on the ground!

Good morning all!

Well I survived yesterday and got all the teacher presents put together. The last one didn't get finished and wrapped till this morning!

Now I just have to survive today and tomorrow I should get a bit of rest. Today Precious gets out at 9:30, parties at the other school start at 10. I'm bringing at least two extra kids home with me after that, but it might be four. One of those extras is spending the night. T's sister should be in today, but I'm kinda hoping they don't come up till late this evening cause my house ain't clean and it's not gonna be with all these kids running through it! Oh and Precious has karate at noon and the other two I think have it at 4. Now just what did I do with that schedule? And Son has basketball at 5. I'll have to decide just what all I'm willing to run to after I see how many kids I end up with. I can't carry Bitsy's friends around with me like I can Precious' and Son's cause they are too young(and I don't know their parents that well).

On top of all that, I have two pillows to embroidery and put together before tomorrow night. (I did tell ya'll I was behind on the sewing didn't I?)

So, ya'll may not hear much from me again today. Don't miss me to much and I'll be back tomorrow. (Baking starts tomorrow, so there should be some nice banana bread, cinamon rolls and cookies around here by tomorrow evening!)

I was so tired when I posted yesterday I was in bed by 8. My first day back to work in a week after my ribbing...by BH.
Speaking of, she just finished burying a chestnut in the corner of my little office, & now she's exploring under my jacket (which I still have on!!)
I did alrite at work, & am slowly healing. Tomorrow is the last day before we start our break so I'll have another week to sit around & finish healing.
Got some respones to make on other threads but wanted to stop in here first! Have a good evening!
Oh Sue...BH said if you need her for secuirty detail tonite she's got her teeth all sharpened up!!

BH tackled me last Sunday & I broke a rib.
Well....Ok..she didn't tackle me but it bout was her fault. I was trying to scoop her up to put her in her cage, well apparently she had an idea & didnt want to be caught. We wound up in the kitchen (me with no shoes on) & I slipped on the floor & caught the top of a chair with my ribcage. I tell everyone BH was laughing at me but in all honesty she came right up to me & climbed up on my shoulde as I was tryin' to get up.
anyway the headline read....190lb. Preacher subdued by 2lb. Squirrel! At least I didn't fall on her.
