Preacher: Are you going to sue? I'm pretty sick so you may want to have BH keep an eye on things around here for the next few days.

This is the worst Bronchitis attack I've had in a year and I don't get over it very fast. I am on so much medicine that it feels like the cure is worse than the disease. :(

I'm going to bed - hopefully to sleep - perchance to dream.

Pleasant dreams all!

Good morning all:

21 degrees and a little breezy here...Windchill of 12. Frigid for this time of year in Tennessee! But, we're going to be in the 50's for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
May have a cookout on Christmas Eve!

Pamela & Sue, it's great to be able to sit long enough to post.

Just another 11 days and Vivian get's all her vacation time back! That's great!!! Then maybe we could look for another car for her to drive to work. If I could get the van fixed well enough, though it's a gas hog, I'd have her drive it again.

Y'all be good, be kind, be careful.

Preacher, BH did a fine job! Looks like it was a quiet night.

Good morning all:

Not a lot of sleep last night but I did sleep good in hour increments until 3:30 when I just decided to get up.

It is cold and foggy here this morning, but will warm up by the week-end. It looks like we're going to have a white Christmas. We still have snow on the ground, but we're supposed to get more Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

HAGD!

Sue, I hope you get to feeling better. Would hate to see that bronchitis turn into pneumonia. You're on my prayer list that I keep right here by the computer.

Viv and I went to bed last night at 8:45 pm, and I was up and down and got up at 12:50 am....just couldn't stand lying there any longer. So, I turned the coffee pot on and started sifting through the email. I've got almost 1,500 to clear out of my main email address box. I've never let it pile up like that before. YIKES!

Good morning, Tony.

I must have been typing my post while you were posting yours and I didn't see you here until just now!

I just started the coffee also and if I could smell, it would smell delicious, I'm sure.

Good Mornin' ,
I'll tell Bh Ya appreciate her. She's sleeping, though I know she'll probaly be back up soon.
I went into work & my line was down so I got to start my "vacation" early.
Tony...don't know (remember) if we've been properly introduced. I'm Preacher & my sidekick is BH. Since you'r back you'll learn who she is soon enough. Just glad you're doing somewhat better!! Oh, & believe me i know what it's like to let e-mail get piled up at times. Takes forever to sift thru it.
I'm not pickin but it seems we might need to turn this section into a prayer forum too with all the sick folks. My wife has been really bad too the past couple weeks, but she just trys to blow it off & keep going. espically with me recovering &in & out of work. We go back the 3rd of Jan. but if they have something I can physically handle I'll try to work somewhere else till then.
They just said awhile ago we're supposed to get rain christmas eve & day. The H/L will probaly be around 40/25.
That is really one neat thing bout' havin BH. Shes better than any weather man. If she starts stuffing more cotton in her nest we know to turn up the heat that nite! Also if she's not up by 7:00 or so my wife knows its still really cold outside (for here). Like this mornig its 9:30, about 25 or so & she ain't moving. I keep her cage in an eastern window so she can catch the sunrise, but if it's below 30 0r so it don't matter. she stays put!!
Chek back when I can!

Good morning. It is cold here and just starting to snow again. It is supposed to warm up a little with rain. I think we have too much snow on the ground to lose it before Christmas Day, however.

I don't like to go on about illness in the chat areas either. There is enough sickness in this bleak old world. So long as I can wiggle a finger, I am ok, Jack,,,and get on with it.

Cheers,

Jim

Thankful

Good Morning, All!

I'm not sure I should even post after the STUPID thing that I did, but Praise the Lord, He takes care of us even when we are stupid.

We had snow yesterday. It melted by nightfall.

I went out on the deck this morning and did not see any ice. I usually stay in as much as possible during this kind of weather, but...

You guessed it. My feet slid right out from under me and plop down I went. Maybe extra weight is a good thing! I think I'm just going to be very, very sore. You should have seen me trying to get up and back into the house. No on second thought, not. It would have made a great cartoon, though.

So Jim, I'm not sick, just stupid!

I need to take mail to the mailbox, but I'm not going out there again until I see sunshine and water.

Have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone!

I survived yesterday! Today is a bit calmer, but not by much! Still have one extra kid, two pillows to put together(at least the embroidery is done, finally), one other sewing project to start and a family gathering to go to this evening.

I've already taken the car in to the shop to have some recall work done, finished the embroidery for the pillows and figured the checkbook!

Baking is just about to commence! I'm starting with banana bread and an eggy white yeast bread. They should be ready in about an hour and two hours respectively.

I'm glad I didn't get here earlier, I'd have hated to run into BH before having something to bribe--er--offer her. Broken ribs wouldn't fit in with my holiday plans! ;)

My kids have started the countdown. FOUR days till Christmas!

Hello, everyone.

Thankful....OUCHIES. May I suggest some ice for the affected area ? (Kinda like the hair of the dog that bit ya ;) )

We're up to about 18 degrees today, with some snow squalls. Time to let the cat out, he's been cooped up in the house too long, but we don't let him out when it's too cold.

Anyone but us have a problem with their cats tearing up the Christmas tree ? Ours is having a ball.....

Oh, Thankful! You'd better get a small bag of salt to spread on the deck when the weather gets like that! :(

I sure hope you are all better by Christmas!

Cindi: Brent started the countdown December 1st. He has a Christmas chalkboard in his room.

Bro. Curtis: Hang the tree OR the cat from the ceiling.

Oh Thankful! You better go ahead and take some advil or asprin. Either one will help keep you from being so sore. Then put your feet up for a while! :D  (okay, I'm sorry)

Bro. Curtis...better not let blackbird or any others of the Pit Stop crowd hear about letting the cat out. They done been singing songs about smackin' cats & loadin' guns!
don't worry...I won't let the cat out of the bag!!!
MK, ypu'll be alright around BH, just don't try to pet her & what ever ya do......don't mention the word cage!

Thankful

Good one, MK! I think I did that once too often.

I'm glad I really didn't have anything planned to do today, but I'm trying to keep moving, but a nap seems to sound pretty good right now.

Keep having fun!

Wow, this place was quiet!

Good morning everyone!

Sue, WAKE UP! Actually, don't, you need the rest. Hopefully you're feeling better by the time you do though. I've always found that 48 hours after starting anti-biotics seems to be the magic number!

Thankful, I do hope you're not too sore this morning. Since you weren't expecting it and didn't have time to tense up, you probably won't be! The worst injuries happen when people know they're coming, because their bodies tense up and don't go with the flow...that's why drinkers in accidents so often escape without major injuries!

Preacher, see if you can find a friend to help you post a pic of that squirrel! It sounds so cute!

Curtis, I'm jealous. What kind of kitty do you have? One of these days I'll have one again. One daughter sneezes around them too much, so it'll have to wait until she moves out.

Jabber jabber...woke up sore and took some stuff for pain and it's got me WIRED! I'm tempted to vaccuum, both that and driving make my back feel better and there's popcorn on there that needs up that I didn't notice before, but it's so loud it would probably wake up the neighborhood.

Hope you all have a good morning, I'll probably be sleeping!

Gina, I got up at 3:30, but didn't come in here until I made coffee, took meds, etc. The Prednisone wires me and makes me very hyper and keeps me from sleeping. If you're still up, I'm on Yahoo... :D

Good morning all!

I crocheted several pair of slippers for Christmas and I finally finished last night! For Shawna, I made one slipper and a stump warmer.

I have to make a run to Wal-Mart before Christmas, so I'm hoping I start feeling better. With all these meds, it shouldn't hurt me to be outside! My cough is much better this morning. PTL!

I'm going to have a cup of coffee and read over this new recipe that I found for Carrot Cookies.

CYAL,

Morning all:

Wow...Gina AND Sue made it here before me? I've been up since 1 AM. Was a really fitful night for me. Been having quite a few of them lately. But, I couldn't get on the BB that early this morning for some reason.

Today is Viv's last day for the week. That's great, because we've got a few things we need to do. The man who had this house built is wanting to buy the bunk beds we have, so I've told him that they'll be ready by Friday or Saturday. I hope he comes through with the asking price. We paid over $900 for them, but he's only paying $200. They're almost like brand new.

It's cold here and a bit windy at times off and on. 25 degrees with a wind chill of 12. Not good.

I've got to try and get this office cleaned up today. With not being able to move very well, I've not got a whole lot done this week.

Ya'll have a wonderful day. Be good, Be kind, Be careful.
