Well folks,
The end of another year, I hope all were blessed this year & will continue to be in the next.
I want to take a bit here to say something to everyone that visits.
I want to THANK each of you for making me feel right back at home. The last couple years have really drug me down, physically & spiritually. Like I've told Gina I'm not back where I ought to be...but I'll get there with the Lord guiding the way. I haven't posted a lot in the teaching/discussion threads because I have really forgotten a lot that I used to have down "pat". But that will change too, with time.
My wife is just glad that I've took an intrest again in the things of the Lord.
The reason you've never seen her post is cause she's real self consious about not typing & spelling so good. I've told her that don't matter, but mabey that'll change with time too. I think she'd really enjoy the board.
I'm really glad I came back. I'm espically glad for the Coffee House. I do believe the Lord gave us our imaginations as a gift of sorts, but as we grow older we forget what that childhood quality was. I've rediscovered it here. Course BH has helped there too!! Thanks too for letting her become a part of the life here. I really do have her with me most times when we're visiting.Shes usually crawling around on me or laying on the back of the chair just chillin'.
Anyway I hope the New Year brings much continued happiness & Hope to all here. I Thank you once again, as would my wife & BH.(They're both in bed)
Happy New Year!!!

Thankful

I see that you are from Oklahoma. I have family that lives in Choctaw, Oklahoma? Do you live near their? What about Checotah? Last summer, I was vacationing in Broken Bow, Oklahoma...stayed in a log cabin in Beaver's Bend!
We're not very far from Choctaw. Yes, I know where Checotah is and I think Beaver's Bend country is beautiful.

Did you family in Choctaw have any problem with the recent wild fires?

Just made some snickerdoodles and put them on the counter under glass. Please make sure to put glass back over the platter as BH smells the cookies and goes wild if she can't get to them.

Leave at least 2 for Sue and Preacher. There should be no problem there, I made 5 dozen.

Oh, and for those that are diabetic, the cookies on the left of the platter (one and a half dozen) are sugar free. Please be courteous and sweep up crumbs.

Ah dink des r pty ...gulp gulp...I think these are pretty good! (now I know why not to talk with my mouth full!)
Won't have to worry bout BH tonite, she's in her box all cuddled up. I figure she deserves a nite off, being a holiday & all. Seems to be pretty quiet here, I may go cuddle up myself here in a little while. Ain't made up my mind yet. Been jumpin around lookin' at threads I haven't been on before.
A little after 2 here, my wife has to get up at 6 to babysit for a girl she works with, then shell go to work herself at 2:30pm. Thats her though, won't hardly turn anybody down...even when it keeps herself wore down.
Well...enjoyed the snack, hope there's some left if it's awhile fore' I get back by!

Aggie, spell check helps with those types of mistakes. Plus, practice makes perfect, so git to practicing!

Preacher, NONE of us are where we should be totally, and won't be until that long Day! I think it's good that you don't have "things" down perfect. Doctrine is important, but I'm pretty sure you've got the big stuff down and how we live our Christianity is so much more important than being able to snap out what the L stands for in tulip, or what chapter and verse contains two references to Egypt. You've shown yourself willing to return to your love for Christ and shown yourself friendly and humble, and I think that's a lot farther than quite a few people go, even if they have a lot of theology down pat, although people CAN and occasionally DO both!

I went to our church meeting tonight and intended to be home by nine. As you can see, that didn't happen. I just got home a few minutes ago and got the girls in bed. LOL I got talked into a few games. One was the 80's music game, that was certainly interesting. I'd forgotten just how horrible some of that music really was! Now, let's see how many of us will show up for church in a few hours.

Good morning all!

Ron, thanks for the snicker doodles! They were good. I sat some eggnog on ice, and my homemade cheese ball and crackers, right next to them. I'm sure glad BH took the night off or we would surely have a mess (I rolled the cheese ball in chopped nuts)...

I said good bye to 2005 when I went to bed around 8:00 and said hello to 2006 when I got up around 4:00.

Ms. Sue,

Thanks so much! The phone will be ringing off the hook today and I can't count how many time my computer has already said "You've got mail" this morning, lol!

Thankful,

They said that they didn't have any problems, did you? I sure hope not! I love Beaver's Bend County. Ever been to Eufaula Lake? Isn't it pretty? Oh BTW, I can't think of the lake, but there is one in Beaver's Bend County is absolutely crystal clear! Do you know which one I am talking about? It has a lot of reservoirs in it.

Happy New Year everyone!

Shane my brother is suffering the same fate this morning. He's been 46 since 12:45 this morning. Course I got up so late that he's probably already headed for church, so I'll have to wait to call him till I think he's right in the middle of lunch! :D

Let me add to the rush: Happy Birthday Shane!

(here in Bama when a kid is 15 they get thier driver's permit. Is one in your future, come Tuesday morning?)

No, Pappy, we have not been troubled by fires in our area, but we are in extreme fire danger today because of high winds. The last six months of 2005 were the driest months in Oklahoma since 1921. Our town is 18 inches below normal. We are praying for rain!

You are probably talking about Broken Bow Lake, but Oklahoma has some beautiful lakes. Lake Tenkiller is one of the clearest lakes. Eufuala and Texoma are the two of the largest lakes.

Lots of fishing, camping, and boating opportunities in our State.

We had a beautiful church service this morning which included the Lord's Supper. The pastor had every one come to the altar get the bread and juice. It was different but it was still a wonderful service.
