    Good morning all;

Oh, Scarlett! A pajama party! Sounds terrific! Would you believe I've never been to one? :(

Gina: I mark 1 point off when Brent does things like that because it means he's not reading and following directions. [IMG]

Preacher: No radios unless BH wants to chip in on the electric bill. It went way up ya know!

Padre: Next time you leave BH some Cheerios, please leave me a box of Special K (with strawberries) please... ;)

Ron: No spiced cake donuts? I guess I'll just have to make me some biscuits for breakfast. :D

It is cold here this morning, but supposed to be 52º by this afternoon.

I started coming down with a cold yesterday. I haven't been out of the house all week, so someone had to bring it in to me!

I really don't need to have a cold and be around hubby when he has his surgery, so please pray I get rid of it before Tuesday...

    Surfing,
    §ue [IMG]

    Morning all...

It's a cool 33 here this morning. It was dark when I got up, but I can see that the sun has risen. Vivian's still in bed, which is probably good. She went to work yesterday with a sniffle and came home last night sneezing and sniffling. She was running a low fever, was cold and achy. She said her stomach hurt, too...so, I'm taking it she has the flu. It's making the rounds here in TN, and pretty heavily from what I'm told. We only have to go to the store, get mail and to the bank this morning. Then she'll be able to come back home and go back to bed.

Ah, I hear her stirring around in the kitchen now. No hacking and coughing right now. I made sure she was bundled up pretty good last night, and every time she kicked the covers off, I put them right back on her.

I hear the clink of the coffee cups being taken out of the cabinet and placed on the counter-top. Now the coffee's pouring.....

Well, folks, it's time to go for the day, or for not at least.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

    T

    Good morning everyone!

We have a new addition to the menagerie. One blue male betta creatively named "Fishy". The cat thinks that poor Fishy is a new toy for her! She's kept herself busy going between his tank and the frog habitat. She also thinks the frogs are there just for her.

Let me see, I think that brings the menagerie to a total of 12 again.(not counting kids and husband. :D ) When my dad bring his poodles tonight we'll be up to 15! They'll be here about 6 weeks. Not sure what Hairwolf will think about that. Our own dogs stay outside.

Yesterdays excitement has taken its toll on the eldest and she is in bed with the migraine she's been fighting for a week. We go to the doctor with her next week if we make it that far.

I should go get started on the day........

    G'mornin' gang!!

Fresh Dougnuts for all (spiced cake in first box for Sue).

    1 Box Spiced Cake
    2 Boxes Glazed
    3 Boxes Powdered and Filled
Napkins to the right of the boxes.

Coffee is on the table. 5 Carafe's full of steaming hot. The one to the far right is Decaf.
Styrofoam cups are medium and large sizes. Take your choice.

Contents are very hot, so please be careful pouring and drinking.

There, I think I got that all covered and recorded. Won't need my lawyer on this one.

padre..yep, now ya tell me! BH said thanks for the O's.
Sue, BH said she pays peanuts for her electric bill, but she could bring one that runs on batteries.

OK, went to G'boro this morning, but left BH at home. We got a late start & Agee had to be back by 1:00 so we didn't have much time anyway. The place we went had a meeting going on so they said she would call to reschedule for next week. But she talked to us for a minute & told us they have 4 other properties as big or bigger than that one. Agee was sorta aggrivated but I told her thats business. It may take awhile to get started.
Going to Ashboro in the morning to get all the free pecans I can haul! I'll make some pecan pies & bring them by. Also picking up another computer.
Well gonna go do some more scouting so I'll return!

Yummy!!! Doughnuts and soon pecan pie!!! I like this place! But I need to get more exercise with all this virtual food.
No wait, virtual exercise will be
    ok, won't it?

We are doing well here in Podunk, GA. The kids keep telling me we need to get some more fish but I think I'm going to try and altar the air thingy that blows the bubbles into the water. Nothing major, just make it shorter.

Y'all have a good day! Will be back leter.

Just popped in to check the carafe's. As I suspected, the coffee was starting to get cold. Replaced the coffee, so now it is piping hot.

    Please do be careful.

Doughnuts are still looking ok. Where is Sue? I brought all these cake doughnuts and she has not touched them.

Gayla, why don't you just buy your fish at the market. Look at all the steps you'll save. [IMG]

I prefer the old 'Pet Rock'

    Don't have to feed it.
Don't have to take it for walks.
Don't have to worry about vet bills.
Don't have to see it die.

There are advantages to having a pet rock too...

Put it outside and it instantly becomes a weather rock

If the rock is dry, it means fair weather.
If the rock is wet, it means it's raining.
If the rock is dusty, it means a dust storm.
If the rock is swaying, it means it's windy.
If the rock casts a shadow, it means it's sunny.
If the rock is white, it means it's snowing.
if the rock is jumping up and down, an
    earthquake is upon us.
if the bottom of the rock is under water it's a
    flood.

I'm here, Ron. There is now only 1/2 a box of spiced cake donuts left and I've probably spoiled my supper...

Thanks for keeping the coffee hot. I've been busy today and haven't had time to stop in like I usually do.

    Keep up the good work!!!

I'm trying to decide what to do with all the free time I'll have while the BB is closed down this weekend.

Hello everyone...I was in the neighborhood and smelled the coffee and doughnuts and just had to come in!!
I have been in the game forum most of the day. Oh well....everyone deserves a day to just...do nothing, right? Now I will top off my day with a couple of those doughnuts and a cup of coffee...if you don't mind.

    Hello Bro. Jim! [IMG]

WOW! The silence is deafening here. Where is everybody? Enjoying a day off with good weather I hope. We are having a balmy 58°F - practically a heatwave. Unfortunately I can't enjoy it, for I am still wrestling with this cold spell. Was getting already good, and then Lenke got the 24-hours stomach virus. Two days later she gave it to me and I am convalescing ever since. My resistance must be down, to much work, running around - but then again this is retirement for you! [IMG] Hope everybody will have a blessed Lord's day tomorrow. [IMG]

Note: By the way, our new owner, Bro. AndrewT, apparently finished his work, hence the board was opened ahead of time. [IMG]

I would imagine it is silent in here because everyone assumes the board will be down all day. I just happened to click on the link to see what would come up during maintenance and I learned the site was back up.

Hey, it's good to see another customer to the Common Ground Coffee House! [IMG] By the way, Lady Sue has a problem logging in, that is why she is not here yet. But I am sure she will figure out that she needs to clear out her Internet Temp. Files before that will happen. Until then we have to fend for ourselves. I already took two Dr Peppers for myself.... Exactly my thought! [IMG] Well, hello Dr. Bob! Good to see you in the coffee house. Just relax, set back and enjoy your selection of pastries and non-alcoholic drinks. You can even put your feet up on the furniture - except, don't let Lady Sue see it.... [IMG] [IMG]
