Good morning all,

Preacher, the CH slows down on the week-ends. Probably because our spouses are home...

It is a cold 19º here this morning and not supposed to get much above freezing all this week. We may get some snow Wednesday.

I was absorbed in creating, and printing out, Valentine's (on the computer) to send to my family via snail mail and I forgot to stop by and say good night. Hope everyone slept well.

Thanks for cleaning up, and making coffee, preacher. I may have to lower BH's 'pay' on week-ends or just give her that time off...

We had a contest, in January, on our local FreeCycle group. The winner (who offered the most AND had the offers picked up) was to receive a gift certificate for 2 at Bonanza (my favorite steakhouse). I won and the owner of the site came over to give me the certificate and it was for 3 free dinners! She knew that Brent was living here and she also wanted to thank me for all the work I do as a moderator for FreeCycle. I was pleasantly surprised and thought it was very sweet.

Well, I need to make hubby some coffee since he doesn't come to the CH...

HAGD!

Good morning.

The sun is shining out there. I like it! :D

It's about that time. Showers, breakfast, and church.
We're having an after church thingie but I think I'd rather stay home and clean and do homework.
Not RATHER, but it's that pesky grown up thing that keeps getting in the way of what I *really* want to do.

Hope you all have a wonderful day, one with SUNSHINE!

Blessed Sunday Everyone!

The Lord's been on me about not attending church just cause one or the other of the kids is sick, so I grabbed up the well ones and we went to church! We had wonderful service with one saved and another rededicating and becoming a member. The kids came home happy and blessed. The youngest is beginning to be interested about the Lord.

Time to begin the rest of the day!

Hello Again,
Just got off the phone with my momma, which is always a trial the last couple years. She's having eye surgery tomorrow for a leaking cornea(?).
BH is giving me another fit this afternoon & I'm LOVING it. I'm picking up a camcorder tomorrow from a freecycle member & then....look out Americas Funniest Videos!! If we win the BIG prize I'll share! How can we lose with this showoff??
Finally got her calmed down...just had to put on a classical station, does it every time.
Hope everyone had a good day & I'll return...sometime in the near future!

Thankful

Good afternoon everyone!

Our preacher was really stepping on toes this morning, but he couldn't have been talking to Ed or me because we haven't been in church for a couple of weeks. We didn't do it!

Or maybe not do it.

He even talked about over eating. Doesn't he know that we are dieting? :D

He did not preach the sermon that he had planned.

We are on our way to evening church. I wonder if he will change tonight's sermon also.

Evening everyone!

Looks like winter has come to stay for a week or so in spite of the crocuses blooming in my neighbors yard. It is actually supposed to snow here sometime after midnight. I'll believe it when I see it. There was still milk and bread at Walmart today, so I doubt anyone else believes it either.

In any case, it's not supposed to get above 50F any time this next week. Brrr!

Preacher, I guess it's a case of music soothing the savage beast huh? :D

Betty, we had a guest preacher this morning, so I guess any toe stomping was unintentional.

Evening all,

I am heading to bed so I can get my leg up even with my heart. It is so swollen. I've never seen it like this before. I would think it's water retention, but it's just one leg. I can't tell I have an ankle and can hardly tell where my toes start...

I have had it propped up in the recliner for several hours, but it hasn't seemed to help. This really has me puzzled.

Pleasant dreams all!

Yesterday it was 50. Tonight it is 20, winds with 50 mph gusts and snowing 3" an hour. National Weather Service says the storm is stalled over Lake Erie and will keep dumping on us until Tuesday! If I'm lucky there might be a couple of feet in the driveway by morning!!

Morning all:

It's 31 here and we've had some light flurries. But, there was no frost on the car windows this morning, which was good.

Our church business meeting was bizarre yesterday! It seemed to drag on forever. We now are starting to look for resume's from conservative SBC Bi-vocational pastors. If any of you know of anyone who would fit that description, please, have them contact me at
BrotherAnthony@FaithCCtn.org

Hope ya'll have a great day.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful

Good morning all,

It is a cold 19ºF here this morning. It is not snowing, but we are supposed to start getting some tomorrow.

Today is laundry day and also time to dust and 'do' the floors again. Can't someone invent a heating system that eliminates DUST???

HAGD all!

Yesterday was like 52ºF for the high and 34ºF
for the low. This is a couple of degrees
under average (Oklahoma has AVERAGE, not normal)
'Average' is a numerical thing, 'normal' is
a climate thing. Central Oklahoma does not
have a climate, just weather

Anyway, it was the second day in the last 45
days when the high temp was UNDER average.
In the Pacific the La Nina condition is
setting up. It brings to Oklahoma warm weather
and dry weather.

Rain?/Snow? - forget it. Yesterday I saw two
fire plugs fighting over a dog :D

Good Morning everyone!

My poor children were soooo disapointed that there was no snow this morning. Just a bit of sleet and cold, cold rain. The temp is just about 36.

My huskies are glad to be in the garage and Hammer is on top of my new bale of guinea pig hay. (He has his own pile, but theirs is always better. Dad's poodles ran out and did what they had to do in about three minutes and were back scratching to get in. It was raining so much that they were already wet. Now there are two of them curled up on my bed(now dry). The third lives under my dining room table with his stuffed gorilla.

I have today to myself for a change, so it will be housekeeping and sewing(maybe) or maybe I'll sit in front of this computer for a day instead and accomplish nothing. Of course this only lasts till I have to pick up the kids at school. Then the new afterschool schedule begins(didn't we just do a new schedule?). Now Jenna does gymnastics on Monday. While she is there, Chris has karate. Cass' karate starts at the same time that Jen is supposed to be picked up. Haven't figured that out quite yet, but I'll be carpooling to gymnastics with a neighbor so something can be worked out. We've had a two week vacation from karate, so it's time for them to get back. The rest of the week...no not gonna think about the rest of the week or I won't enjoy my day off!

Ya'll have a good one!

Thankful

Good Morning!

I have lots to do today, but no pressure to get it done. I worked really hard last week thinking I might have weekend company. Didn't, not sure when the company will arrive now, but I can relax because we are unpacked, clothes washed, and house is clean.

Now I'm working on taxes. I usually have all the info to the Tax person by the 10th of February so I am probably behind this year.

I can't find answers to some of my tax questions so I will have to send him the figures and let him figure it out.

Oh, Brother Jim. Our preacher preached his planned sermon on Sunday night. He really preached a good sermon Sunday morning that was not written down. He never referred to any notes and quoted his scripture from memory. That is when we know that the Holy Spirit is really working!

One thing that was emphasized was that some of us learn, learn, learn, learn, but we never use what we learn. We need to share what we learn with others.

Well off to do those Monday chores, etc.

Have a great day!

Betty

Boy Howdy. Sunny and brisk (22F) morning and nice to be doing my therapy INSIDE!!

Extremely busy week. Since we leave on Sunday after church for Houston and then Panama for two weeks, we have tons of work for the church and business and starting college spring classes on the 28th.

SO WHAT AM I DOING HERE???
