Well, I was so tired last night that I didn't even hear the tornado sirens going off! I guess we had a doozy with large hail and everything.

We have some more limbs down, and our lawn furniture blew over, but everything else seems to be in order.

I hear there are people without power, but we still have it. I guess I'll find out what's going on when the newspaper gets here.

It is warm out today, but cloudy. I never did get outside. Brent and I took down, and put away, the Easter decorations and I finally got my kitchen cleaned, and back to normal, after Sunday.

I have some letters to write.

Sue, it sure sounds like you have had your share of bad weather this year! Glad you're OK.

I'm getting close to my 1000th post!

Gina, what antibiotic did they give you? You should be feeling better by now.

Hey everybody!

It's about 90 outside today! I need to clean out the car but, I can't take the heat! Well I could, but having a clean car just isn't worth it to me. Instead I have a clean kitchen and clean clothes and a nice comfy chair in front of the computer. All in the nice air conditioning. :D

I probably will clean out the car eventually, but not until there is shade on the driveway.

Sue, I still have Easter eggs laying around the livingroom. I wouldn't but my SIL got the bright idea that the kids needed to have an Easter egg hunt. LOL, the oldest two told her they were to old! Good kids! I didn't even have to pay them. So it's only Jenna's that are there and Chris says he has ideas for them. Not sure I want to know, but I'm leaving them for the time being.

Got to start supper.....

Okay, the car is mostly clean, supper mostly cooked and the Easter eggs are gone from the livingroom(I'm not asking where, just thankful that these were plastic eggs!)

Made the first trip to karate about to make the second and while I wait, I checked in here to find I'm talking to myself.

I've been packing. Three moves in less than a year! I says to madre, "Honey, we need a motorhome! I think it would be easier to move if all you had to do was pull in the water line and power cord." Well, madre wasn't too keen on the motorhome idea....

Now if I could bring myself to get rid of some of these books.....

Get rid of the books? That's why the trailer on behind the motorhome...Wish I had thought of that when I was younger and moving about. Then, it would have been a little hard on the horses hauling one of those things right across the country.

Three moves in one year! Are you really a gypsy?

Cheers,

Jim

I feel for you, padre.

The first 10 years of our marriage, we moved 36 times!

Two things I could never leave behind were my books and photo albums. In fact, I rarely got to unpack them!

Good morning all,

Tony, someone on here sent me an invite to gmail at Google. I signed up for that, then forwarded my .tif to that account and it opened right up! I don't know why they sent it .tif because it was 25 pages of text!

I woke up with a spring cold this morning. I knew I had coughed through the night (kept waking up) and my head is all stuffed up. Colds this time of year seem to last forever.

It poured down rain during the night but is bright and sunshiny now with an expected high of 70º. I still need to get some yard work done.

Time for coffee,

I don't know why they didn't just send it in PDF format. It's a lot easier to open.

I'll tell you what, my GMail account has been a God-send. It's helped in so many ways. I've got 200 more invitations allowed. Still trying to get my Mom to get one. She'd love the ease of categorizing and cataloguing all of it. Glad that you got it opened.

That's how it's going Tony. I did write some new stuff. This quarter my writing portfolio is all essays. When time permits, the new stuff is put in my blog, it's linked in my profile. I should probably put more stuff up there sometime soon.

Do you have your manuscript online as you work on it? You should, make it a hidden site, and just let people on that you don't mind having read your unfinished work. People like me. LOL
I wanted my blog unavailable to people so I could feel freer to post stuff that wasn't finished and go back to it later, but I didn't know how.
Wow, Gina, sounds like you're having a time of it out there. Glad you're still finding the time to write though. What kind of a hidden site would you recommend? PM or email me about that. I would like to put some of it up. Bassenco's blog was somewhat of a format I liked, and the whole blog format is something that I like, but, sometimes I feel that it is too opened. Don't know what else I could do.
Suggestions would be appreciated.

I'll be praying for you and the kids. How's Anna? We pray for her on a daily basis, and God brings her and you and several others here to mind at various times during the day, too. Guess there are times that they Holy Spirit impresses upon us that others need extra prayers.

I'm working on three manuscripts right now...One is called "Full Circle" about my leaving the Independent Fundamental Baptist movement, but how God used the SBC to help me heal, recover and then finally how He led me back to the IFB circles after a period of questioning why I believed what I believed. I'm writing it in two different formats to see which is more appealing...fiction based on true life, ie, Bassenco's suggestion, and then just the story itself from a struggling ministers perspective.

Another one I'm working on is the start of a series for teens...sort of a mystery series...actually got two going, a set for teen boys and one for teen girls.

And, then I'm working on a play. "After the Sunset" is the name of this piece. These, of course, are outside of my regular writing on my studies from the Bible and my poetry.

Again, you're in my prayers.

Well, Good morning all:

It's very warm here. About 71 degrees, and a heat index of nearly 80. YUK! There were storms yesterday up where Viv was at work, and some were severe. Today we are facing the same across the whole mid-section of the state. I'm hoping that I can stay stable long enough to try and get the weed eater out and trim and cut around the house. It looks like a jungle. The rest of the yard isn't much better though I mowed it last week.

If you remember, please, pray for me Friday morning between 7 AM and 8 AM CDT. They have to do the same procedure that they did last Friday, and it will keep me out of commission for two or three days. We're still going to try and go to church on Sunday, though. I really like this church we've been visiting.

Sue, I know how you feel about moving. Vivian and I have moved a total of 54 times since we've been married. Many times the moves were because of necessity, ie, death threats, etc. We've lived in the ghetto's of Augusta, GA and Peoria, IL and that was truly an experience. In Augusta, we lived there three different times. The first time we had a man murdered right outside of our bedroom window at about 2 AM. One time we had our apartment broken into and the perps started a party. We are glad that the Lord allowed us to go through all of it, and we're glad that He finally allowed us to start living longer in one certain place.

Well, ya'll, hope God gives you a wonderful, beautiful day.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful, Be like Jesus!

Bro. T

Good morning all,

Tony, will be remembering you in prayer Friday.

Jim, how will you celebrate? Will there be a large, public celebration?

It is going to be another pleasant day. Brent and I are going out for breakfast (biscuits and gravy) this morning. We used to do that one morning a week, when we had the paper routes, but we haven't done it for quite awhile.

We need to make a run to Wally World too. I need a couple of fish for my acquarium and Brent has outgrown all of his casual pants that he wears to Wednesday night services AGAIN! Grandpa says he's gonna have to put a brick on his head!

We will be starting school a little late this morning, but his work for this year is way ahead of schedule, so no worries about getting it done on time.

HAGD!

Hi Sue,

I am one year short of being invited to Her Majesty's party in London, therefore, I shall just have a cuppa tea, raise the cup and say, "God bless the Queen, and may she reign another 53 years."

Actually, she invited a few 80 year olds from the Commonwealth to join her in London for a "birthday party". On Friday she will be entertained by Prince Charles at Windsor Castle with a private dinner with family.

Cheers, and God save the Queen,

Jim,

Born a Brit and loyalist, and I shall die a Brit and loyalist.

Jim, have you ever met any of the Royal Family? I would love to meet Prince Charles and take a tour of his Highgrove garden.

Good Morning Everyone!

Chris woke up WELL this morning!!!!!!! We are always excited when this happens. Hopefully he will be well until way way next winter when migraine season starts again.

On another note, we discovered where the mono came from!! Found out last night that some of the other kids at karate are suffering from it as well as chicken pox! Poor things. One is bad enough, but both at the same time? Whew! I feel for their poor mother. Not worried much about chicken pox here. Bitsy is the only one who hasn't had it and she's had the vaccine. She was exposed several times before the vaccine and never caught it.

Poor karate instructor is 30 and never had them. He is concerned!

Today will be on and off busy, depending on what I get motivated to do. There's a pile of work both indoors and out, but I still have my stupid back to think about. It's better, but I want it to stay that way!

Tony, I'll be praying!

Jim, one day you'll have to tell me why Canadians are still loyal to the Queen. Cut the apron strings already! ;) ;) Just playin'!

I'm goin for I get myself into any more trouble.

Ya'll have a good day!

Gwen, during the war years, the Queen, then Princess Elizabeth and her sister Margaret, drove lorries through the bombed out sections of East London where I lived. We saw the Royals almost everyday, and I was less than a foot away from the King. I even have a photo of the Princess Elizabeth changing a tyre on the lorry.

Many Canadians to-day are not loyal to the Crown, but we are still politically linked in that she is the Queen of Canada and still heads the parliament of Canada and is represented in Canada by the Governor General of Canada.

I see no reason to withdraw our relationship with the Crown. It costs us nothing. We are not taxed to pay the royals, and she provides some sense of political stability just by the fact she must give approval to Bills passed by the parliament......long story there.

Cheers,

Jim

Good morning! It's sunshiney, which means I am HAPPY! SUNSHINE! WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

I'm supposed to be watching Hamlet and then writing a paper on it. I really don't like Shakespeare. I never did. I tried. I don't. I made it through five minutes and it was all over.
I'll be more than happy to write a five page commentary on how I felt about it though! NO PROBLEMO! It will start with "I cried, I gagged, I felt torn. Then I put the movie in and hit play".

Tony, I have no idea how to do the hidden one, or I would! Sorry, no advice on that! The blog I have up is a free one and easy to set up. Someone said I could block access from people or require a password, but I haven't taken the time to figure it out yet. But...if you want a free blog to just stick stuff up on, I've been perfectly happy with blog spot!

Guess I was getting the year mixed in there.
