Well, I don't know where you get your statistic about the KKK but it really doesn't matter because they are no longer except in the imagination of the leftists.

If you think the KKK and racism do not exist except in the minds of the "leftists" then you are wrong. I have personally witnessed racism and insults from people who claim to be affiliated with the KKK.

Europeans have a slowed economy and Canada does, too. You really can't afford to help the survivors of the hurricane. You are deporting people to the USA who have no jobs. My neighbor is a Canadian who could not find work up there. My doctor was a Jew who left Canada because of their bad treatment of Jews. You are so European that you almost don't realize that you are in the New World. Too bad.

I love America, but at some point we have to admit America HAS PROBLEMS! Did you know that in terms of income inequality between the rich and the poor America is ranked between the Philippines and Egypt, with the richest earning 9 times more than the poorest!! Correct me if I am wrong, but the Philippines is a developing 3rd world country. In the other industrialized nations, such as the UK, CANADA, and FRANCE the richest earn 4-5 times more than the poorest. We have millions of hardworking people who CANNOT afford healthcare. Our economy is outsourcing jobs at a steady rate for their profit margins. Why don't we stop pointing out the problems with other countries and their governments until we do something to fix our own.

The UK slaughtered half its population to introduce socialism, as did Canada, Sweden and a host of other countries. It is easy to name the 3rd world countries that embraced communism.

A democratic country has the right to introduce legislation of its own making.

Very good point. America is NOT the only industrialized nation and people in other nations are very capable of making their own decisions as to what type of government is best for them. That is what TRUE DEMOCRACY really is.

A friend of mine who was a missionary in Ethiopia for about 26 years to me that Ethiopia threw out communism and now has more religious freedom that the US.

It's unfortunate how America is adopting capitalism to the max where the cost of one CEO would pay for several hundred workers.

But then that is the mind of socialism; enjoy the fruits of others labor! :D :D :D :D
OldRegular, I guess that you are avoiding my questions to you, hoping that you would amplify what you said. You really didn't offer any insight as to why you mentioned those 11 of 12 professors at South Carolina.

The articles at the website are full of exaggeration and nonsense.

Both my wife and I are graduates of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. It is one of the most conservatives schools in America. It is a polytechnic university. It is also one of the top agriculture schools in the US and one of the top architecture schools in the world. At that school there is over 1000 students involved in Campus Crusade and the Navigators. While I was there I took a class called the Bible as literature. Christians meet on campus in university buildings. Each Thursday at 11:00 the university had no classes and people copuld schedule events during that time. Twice a few of us scheduled a time where we spoke about Christ from the speech platform during that time on Thursday. We had quite a crowd present.

If I was an administrator and saw that idiot coming I would tell him to leave immediately. He is a troublemaker.

I wasn't addressing you. I don't know whether you are lazy or not, but if the shoe fits wear it. I do no that the basic premise of socialism is that the lazy are to enjoy the fruits of those who labor, or is that communism, or is there any difference?.

I explained it. You either couldn't understand it or want to be contentious as on an earlier thread. :D

OR, obviously you need to research the difference between socialism and communism. As I already pointed out, we already have socialized postal, highways and other infrastructure.

There is also a difference between communism as a pure economic theory and the form of Marxist-Leninist Communism practiced by the totalitarian regimes that ruled with an iron fist under the banner of Communism.

Jesus himself taught a form of communism, or communal living.

I put the KKK in the same class as the ACLU. Both were started for legitimate purposes but those purposes were corrupted by extremists.

Basic concept of socialism:

The belief that societies and markets need to be controlled by government in order to minimize abuses by the powerful and greedy Individuals are encouraged to cooperate rather than compete.

How does this equal lazy? You may not agree with the political stance, but this is taking it to extremes. The basic tenants of socialism do not state that the government takes full control of business and markets, or that everyone has an equal share of the "fruits of labor". Besides many of the "socialist" governments today do not follow a purely socialist model. Just like our government is not a "pure" capitalist government. All countries adopt socialism to some degree.

Countries, such as North Korea, China, and Cuba follow Marxism and the government plays a dominant role in every aspect of life, to some extent.

There is a HUGE difference between the two.

Good Evening, CMG:

If you are suggesting that the KKK are "no longer" in the sense that they no longer exist, you might want to do a google search on Morris Dees or the Southern Poverty Law Center. Perhaps you could google David Duke. Morris would definitely disagree with you if that is what you are saying.

Regards to you, over there in Indy (like I said before, I do love your city),
BiR
</font>[/QUOTE]Glad that you like Indy, BiR! It used to be a beautiful city during the 1980s. The 1990s saw the beginning of the decay that now dominates.

I don't know of any activity by the KKK in Indiana anymore. Nor do I think that we were the national center of that movement--at least I could not document that. The charge is bogus.

The real threat to Indiana now is Islam. We have a large organization of Nation of Islam selling newspapers and incense on the street corners of black slums. Also, in Plainfield, Indiana, a suburb west of Indianapolis, we have one of the largest Islamic organizations in the USA: Islamic Society of North America. Here is their website address:

The USA is at war.

Is that what explains the high unemployment rates in so many socialist countries countries? Is that why socialist countries have confiscatory tax policies?

Are those confiscatory tax policies not , in fact, just redistribution of wealth from those who earn it to those who don't?

Does that not take away incentive from those who might want to excel by taking away the fruits of their labor? I mean, after all ,why bother?

On the other side of the coin, does it not suppress any incentive those who are born into poverty to excel? After all, the government will take the money of those who work the hardest and give it to those who may not work at all. So why bother to try to climb out of a bad situation and make it better. If it gets better the government will take it away from you, too.

So just coast, man. Why try to get ahead? In socialism, there is no advantage to being "ahead" or to trying to get their.

No thank you, bub.

If you want to be a ward of the state your entire life, go ahead. I'll take my chances in truly free society where I also have to right to excel on my own or fail on my own.

The more government is out of my life , the better I like it.

Your socialized medicine is parasitical because it destroys medical research by giving all of the money to the government employees. We have never recognized same-sex marriage down here--and I notice that you call it gay marriage and not same-sex marriage--but you have joined Spain, Belgium, and Holland in legalizing same-sex marriage.

Your defense of socialism says that countries such as North Korea, Russia, Cuba, and Viet Nam are not important. Actually, they are. Most of the suffering of people at the hands of their own governments in the 20th century happened in socialized countries. It is socialism that has the worst record of human rights abuse. Therefore it is not surprising that socialism attacks Christianity. The human rights abuse in the name of socialism is best shown by the examples of Cuba, Russia, North Korea, and Viet Nam.
Very well put CMG, wish I'd said that.

It is the basic job of Federal government to oversee transportation, infrastructure, and national defense. It is a totally necessary function and quite apart from doctrines such as socialism.
