concealed carry classes

I respectfully disagree.

I am still waiting for a reply from Rev. and SAG on where they see any indication from the life of Christ and his teachings to support carrying a concealed weapon into a worship service. I did see a reply from SAG, not an answer but a reply just ahead of yours.

Can you answer the question. Please do nt quote the OT. Only from the life and teachings of Christ in the gospels. Thanks in advance.

Of course you are waiting. You run around insulting people, pretend others have insulted you, and then act like your demand for some reasonable response is warranted or anyone should care.

Why do you believe anyone should be concerned for what you are waiting on? Who are you that anyone should stop and respond to your demands? Further why should anyone cater to your misuse of scripture? I am simply amazed at the attitude that allows this kind of pursuit. Rather than be concerned with demanding responses to your skewed questions you should spend time being concerned with how you talk to people.

Now, lest I be accused of trying to avoid your question you need to know that there is nothing in the life of Christ that would prevent us from defending ourselves. The very premise of your question is in error as it assumes having a gun is a bad thing. It is not. Guns are inanimate objects that are neither moral or immoral. What we do with them can be moral or immoral. Defending lives of innocent people is a very moral thing.

Luk 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Jesus in fact did encourage his disciples to arm themselves in order to protect themselves. Where they were going to travel could be a very dangerous place. An unarmed person would suffer all sorts of animals and thieves.

Further, defending oneself is not contrary to being a peace maker. Dying without defending oneself is not peace nor does it promote peace. Making peace can only be done between two reasonable people.

Now I have tried to make peace with you and everyone on this board. You, along with a few others refused to allow that with you few. Your posts directed at me have been anything but peaceful and nothing close to living the example of Christ. Maybe it is time you worried about what you can do something about instead of about what others may or may not be doing.

Jesus often condemned the Pharisees of judging others. Not just any kind of judgment mind you but he condemned them of hypocritical judgment. This is the judgment you are engaging in here. You want to falsely judge those who would defend themselves and the innocent lives of others but you refuse to be at peace with people on this board even when they have tried to engage you in peace.

You are not peaceful and your posts are not peaceful.

Mat_7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat_7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Mat_7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Now I am asking you for a second time. Please forgive me for any posts in the past that were unkind or offensive. It is my wish that from here on out you and I could have discussions that are in fact peaceful and truly represent Christ. I pray my request is met with a peaceful future from you. Lord help us to be kind, unoffensive, and peaceful in our discussions of the things of you. In Jesus Christ I pray....Amen.

My Savior, is found in the Old Testament too so why would I ignore His word there. I take in the whole counsel of God's Holy Word and not just the red letters. Taking in just the red letters presents a skewed message like that of pacifism.

I'll admit, after the work I put into that post, that I'm disappointed that CTB has responded to people who responded to my post, but he hasn't responded to me.

Said poster has been very active in other threads but the crickets are chirping here. The silence speaks volumes.

Shepherds carry staffs to protect the flock. I am not the pastor but I do not have a problem with men or women in the congregation carrying to protect the flock. I do.

I have a game warden in my church and he is collecting data for a presentation. He gave some interesting facts about church shootings in recent years. Domestic violence has spilled out of the home into the church.

I agree. And I think God's people are worth protecting. That is why a shepherd carried a staff and Jesus commanded the disciples to buy and carry the standard weapon of self defense used at that time.

I am a former Sheriff's Deputy, and a current Certified Pistol Instructor, Certified Range Safety Officer, and until my retirement was Firing Line Coach, Safety Officer, and Pistol Instructor at the Police Range, so I may be a bit biased. :)

So maybe you can help with this.....I need to get a pistol for my wife (who is unfamiliar with firearms)

Go to a range that rents guns and let her try out several until she finds one she likes. If you can instruct her properly, fine, if not find a firearm instructor willing to help.

I'm of the opinion that whatever the question, 95% of the time the answer is Glock 19.

I think I see your problem, you're loading .40 and .45 caliber ammo into your Glock 19s. Those are rated for 9mm only.

If I were strong enough to force a .40 or .45 caliber into a 9mm chamber you wouldn't dare make fun of me! :D:D:D:D:D

My partner wore the badge for 25 years. In all that time he only shot one person. Himself. In the leg. While holstering his Glock. :D:D:D:D:D

Im partial to S&W revolvers myself & Id have to work with her on semi-autos' but a small Ruger would work. they are good guns, compact & easy to use.
The LCP, LCR, and LC9 are all fine firearms. I have a pair of LCPs, one for me and one for my wife. She also has a Glock 26 and a S&W Model 19.
