Could America fall to a Military Coup?

The POTUS took the following Oath of Office, "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The oath itself is not long on words, but it is powerful and it holds the man or woman swearing to it, to some awesome responsibilities regarding America and its citizens. It seems that with each move of the pen, Obama loses more respect from those in the military, to mention a few.

It has become abundantly clear that this president is no longer, "to the best of his ability"
1) Preserving the Constitution of the United States...
2) Protecting the Constitution of the United States... and
3) Defending the Constitution of the United States...

So, should this president continue to ignore the Constitution, by letting this nation slide into financial ruin; military weakness; and lack of confidence by the majority of Americans to "execute the duties of the Office of President", face a Congressional or military coup?

Could this even happen in America?

There was a time I could've bet the ranch-if. I was a betting person-that a coup would never happen in this country. However, it seems that Obama is losing support by past and even some current people on staff, and the military are growing impatient as we look extremely helpless to anything to stop even the smallest of nations from committing atrocities.

As our nation rushes further and faster into a moral decline our laws and constitution becomes ever less effective. Our military is being morally corrupted along with our government. So with that there is the possibility of a military take over at some point down the road. That being said not a take over to restore our constitution but further degrade it.

I think you are overly exaggerating the effects Obama has had on the country. He has made some sweeping changes but everything he has done can be corrected at the ballot box.

Besides, if there were to be a military coup, the military would need to present a new leader that would be acceptable to the citizenry. I cannot think of anyone that would fit the bill. I would hope that all prominent Republicans and Democrats would refuse to be that person.

While I do believe the Obama regime is systematically removing any officers serious about upholding their oaths, I don't believe it's for the purposes of a coup.

Why would they need a coup, when they've essentially taken over America, anyway?

I believe that's precisely what is playing out now. A bloodless coup.

We also have a military that is systematically restructured to follow what ever orders they get regardless of the legality of them. We are importing the Ebola virus into the US and then ferrying it wound on our commercial planes with permission from the CDC. All this to bring us to a state where martial law can be declared and the military take control.

A coup would not be against the President but against the people and constitution all done in the name of protecting the nation from itself. Add to that a financial collapse or at least a strong downturn and the stage is set.
