The verse is there, not your invented and inserted mystery time gap. Perhaps people should believe either God or man.

    God is explicit.
A beginning, heaven and earth, Genesis 1:1.
Before the six days, Genesis 1:2.

So God tells us what happened and gives us the account of when the heavens were created, and the earth.

    Genesis 2:4
This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.
    Genesis 2:5
Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground,
So when talking about both, we are told of things that happened on the earth. No gap. Not before in any sense of the word that does not involve hours rather than imaginary old ages.

In the first verse in the bible (so forget any 'before') we see earth and heavens created. Period.

    Genesis 1:1
    The Beginning
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

It does not say, in the beginning God created the heavens, and later, much later He decided to also create the earth!

Verse 2 simply gives some details on how it was done in the beginning. It does not say in any way that there were two beginnings!

No gap is ever mentioned anywhere in the bible. It is totally invented and is usually a lame attempt to weld and change and bend Scripture to try to make it fit the lying old ages that so called science worships.

The ridiculous gap theory is as far fetched as Preterism.

To be sure Genesis 1:2 is not theory. Correct?
The 6 days began with Genesis 1:3-5.

No, since we see that the earth was being formed in those days. The sun was not even here or the stars.

It would seem you believe in Scripture that cannot really be true.
I believe day one the Sun became the source of light and by day four became visible with the Moon as distinct lights with the stars at night.

The reason it cannot 'really' be true, is? Man says so via 'science'?

Man: What is 'it' that you say cannot 'really' be true?
    Genesis 1:3-5 and Genesis 1:14-19.

    You said this
"It would seem you believe in Scripture that cannot really be true."

Apparently you find actually believing in the bible silly because it cannot be true? Be clear.

The Word of GOD says-the Word is GOD- : But, beloved, be not IGNORANT of this one thing, that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years...-2Peter 3:v.8. So, you are confessing that do not believe in the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD- , so why do you try to discuss about the Word of GOD? Be careful. Your thinking is from a human perspective, a stumbling block, not from God's perspective! - Matthew 16:v.23. Check it.

I am confessing you have got His word confused and wrong. What a day is like in some ways to God does not matter to creation week. The days were given as morning and evenings. For example, man was created on the sixth day, that does not mean after six thousand years. By the way, God is not the author of confusion.

Wrong. absolutely wrong. The letter kills, the Spirit-GOD- gives llife. The description of both verses is the FIRST of the six days, never before, but never, it's fake. Your thinking is from a human perspective, a stumbling block, not from God's perspective! - Matthew 16:v.23. Check it. Seems you still are in the "darkness that was upon the face of the deep" which remain until the current time, even after the revelations of the Old Testament and New Testament. GOD IS LIGHT, AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL. 1 John 1:v.5

    Hebrews 1:v.1 to 7
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

    2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Although you do not believe in the Word of GOD, remember that it is written: GOD -the Word is GOD- calleth those things which BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE- Romans 4:v.17.
You mean and are preaching GOD is likeness you because you were not born of Him yet, you were not born of the Spirit. Except a man be born of water -of the Word of GOD, the Word is GOD- and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.
He which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit-GOD- is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto you, You MUST be born again.

You attack. And deny. In fack do not refute the fact Genesis 1:2 precedes Genesis 1:3. You did not show either in whole or in part any of Genesis 1:2 to be any part of the first day re: Genesis 1:3-5. Make the case.

Taking the word of God to have meaning contrary to known fact is as a denial of God's word being true. The Milky Way is known to be a galaxy made up of stars. Our Sun being one of them. There are stars whose distances have been measured to more than 6,000 light years away. The Andromeda Galaxy has been measured to be some 2 and a half million light years away.

So your statement you had made was ignorant at best.

In JESUS, God created the 1st, 2nd and 3rd heavens, and the heaven of the heavens, and without JESUS was not any thing made that was made.

You are not in the hell's fire, so based in Ephesians 1:v. 3 and Philippians 3:v.20-21, if you are in the 1st or 2nd heaven (the 3rd was not established yet, much less the heaven of the heavens), then I ask you: which heaven are you talking to me from?- based in Ephesians 1:v. 3 and Philippians 3:v.20-21.

None of that shows Genesis 1:2 has any part being in the first day, Genesis 1:3-5.

Understanding Scripture and how that creation week was six days has zero to do with 'not believing the word of God'. If you truly are so confused that you think God has trouble knowing what a morning and evening is, maybe seek help.
