Here's the NKJV

2 Cor 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Who is the "He"? Answer: God the Father

Who is the "Him"? Answer: Christ as God - the divinity of Christ.

So, "For (God the Father) made (Christ as God) who knew no sin to be sin (as the Son of Man), that we (believers, who have received the gospel) might become the righteousness of God in Christ."

How did God make the eternal Son, who is Divine, "sin" as the Son of Man? Note I didn't say a sinner as the Son of Man.

Jesus became the sin bearer/sin offering to God in our stead!
That is the heart of Gospel of Paul, deny his, you deny salvation!

Deity didn't die, that would be impossible, but the life we all share died. Jesus as God assumed OUR life from Mary's womb. That life died in Christ as the Son of Man....Hence "our old life was crucified with Christ" Rom 6:6

God did die a physical death, and Jesus could no tjust die the human aspect, as He is now BOTH God Man!

IF God can die than He is mortal. Mortality and sinfulness are linked. If God died He was sinful.

No, what died was our humanity that Christ, as God, assumed upon His Divinity. It was our corporate, fallen humanity that died, not Divinity.

Jesus is both God/Man, so yes, God physically died a s a Man on the Cross!

Yes, Jesus in His deity as God is all othat, but as a Man, Hesuffered an physically died in our place! He died for indivdual sinners, His elect, not for corporate all lost humaity!

I wish you would stop perpetuating that lie. Clearly, and I have given you absolute proof, He died for all men. A believer should not practice sin (such as telling untruths).

"For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all."

"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died."

"Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people."

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men"

"God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people."

All in the Cpnyex of NT Theology would be reffing to those whom God chose to be saved in Christ, His elect. Also, God can desire all to be really saved, but He also chose some to be such!

My brother and sister-in-law have had all three of their children die from a genetic disease before they were 6 years old. This was God's design when God created each child.

I read the words of King David, when his infant child died, and I take comfort.

"I fasted and wept while the child was alive, for I said, 'Perhaps the LORD will be gracious to me and let the child live.' But why should I fast when he is dead? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him one day, but he cannot return to me."
~ 2 Samuel 12:22-23

Was David going to hell or heaven when he died?

Did David believe he would see his son again?

From this passage, I have faith that I and my family will see our little ones again in heaven. I will see them running and hear them talk, which is something they could not do here on earth.

Debate all you want on this subject, but I choose to agree with King David.

Better yet, King Jesus, as he permitted little ones to come unto Him!

Now I do not buy it was God's design. God made all men in one man, Adam. Adam was created in the image and likeness of God, which means Adam was created sinless and immortal.

Sin ushered in death. The results of sin brought on these genetic diseases. Satan, ultimately, is responsible. I am very certain you will see these children in the earth made new....

God is Sovereign. He creates humans with physical defects so that He might use them for His glory. Recall the disciples asking Jesus if the man's parents had sinned because the man was blind from birth. Jesus response was no.
God created each of my nephews and niece with the genetic disease, for a glorious reason. Their lives marked God's goodness, kindness and grace as they taught us to persevere in all things.
No, they were not flawed because of sin. They were fearfully and wonderfully made by God, exactly as He intended, so they might be a witness to his goodness.
